Today is the 25th Anniversary of Smash 64 and the Smash series as a whole. I do think Toad is a great character to add for this time and it's quite fitting we're doing an anniversary festival for this game at the same time that coincides with the real world anniversary of the series as well!

Ok, everyone! There is a new poll up about Alternate Costumes. I meant to do it last night but I forgot but it will run for 6 hours. It is to decide if we should include Toadette and/or Captain Toadette as alts. Captain Toad is a confirmed alt. They will all be treated as "separate characters" like the Heros (Luminary/Erdrick/SOlo/Eight) and Olimar/Alph.

If we allow both Toadette and Captain Toadette, the alts look like this:

We do not have many references from Captain Toad Treasure Tracker so here is my submission for a Final Smash

Super Pickax
Toad pulls out the Pickax and glows with a lightish blue light that mixes with the effect the Final Smash gives out. He then begins moving around the main platform of the stage while whacking his pickaxe. It does high damage and can OHKO as low as 45%. In addition, upon the Final Smahs activating, it produces breakable brick blocks like what we see above. Upon being broken, the brick boxes shatter and eject out debris that can do area damage as well. This makes Toad's Final Smash, while not extremely exciting, one of the more versatile Final Smashes due to the erratic movements of Toad while under the Pickax's influence but also the shattering of the brick boxes that can damage opponents in a 360-degree angle.

Final Smash - Mega Mushroom
Road pulls out the Mega Mushroom and takes it. From there the lovable little fungus person transforms into a giant version of himself who starts to jump up and down on the stage, wrecking havoc as he goes. He jumps automatically, but you can control where he lands . If he falla off the stage while the final smash is active then he will simply respawn.

Toad Final Smash submission: Fairies' Thanks

Toad opens up a book and summons a group of fairies from SMB2 - they scatter around the stage, landing on various platforms, where they serve as conveyer belts like how they pushed Wart at the end of SMB3. For Toad and his allies, they make them faster with no cons, but for Toad's enemies, they will forcefully move them quickly in the direction of the nearest blast zone (or, on scrolling stages, the direction being moved away from), with fighters being dropped off of any platforms the fairies push them off of.

Captain toad colors -
I decided instead of using the colors of the toad brigade I should reference some things from treasure tracker!
Wingo inspired color -

Captain toad instead of being red would be a darker blue while his backpack would the color of the crystal wingo has on his hat
Gold draggadon inspired color -

Felt like draggadons original color is too similar to the colors already used on default captain toad so captain toad would wear all gold except for his skin and the white part of his head
Mummy-me inspired color -

This would function as the edgy costume so think of the dark link costume for all the links except on toad where toad also gets those pinkish eyes but instead of being all black he would be the color that his skin is in his model and his clothes would be a mix between white and gray

Replaces all pink with brown, and all white and red with beige. Based on Goomba.

So we are finally wrapping up the One Year Festival! It was quite the festival with both two stages and two newcomers! We will be moving into our 2nd annual Winter festival which will have more of a New Years focus. We will be including a third party character but other highlights includes the usual content we include but also a Winter Spirit Event of new winter-themed Spirits, Gold color variations of characters, and an Ice-type Pokeball Pokemon submission.

Submit an Ice-type Pokemon or a dual Ice-type Pokemon from any generation that is currently not in the game. Please identify the name of the Pokemn, its exact typing, what game/gen it is from, and what the attack is and what it does. Please try to draw from the movepool lists of the Pokemon.

Submit a Gold/Silver Festive Color

In many cultures, Gold and Silver symbolize New Year. This is especially the case for Japan but Red can Always symbolize the new year. Please a character that straight up gets a non-metallic Gold or Silver color. You can submit either one or the other OR both. This affects the color of their clothing or, if applicable, the skin like in Pokemon. Think of the Gold Outfit for Kazuya. Character that has a gold outfit previously is exempted.

Iron Bundle

As soon as Iron Bundle is summoned, it will use Electric Terrain to electrify the stage, indicated by lightning-blue bolts crackling across the whole stage. This Electric Terrain buffs the hitstun of allies' moves in Smash. After this, Iron Bundle will wander around the stage and occasionally blast the first enemy in a range with Freeze-Dry, which deals 6% damage by itself but also inflicts a 1.2x incoming damage debuff to that person for 8 seconds.

Master Hand will change from a glove to a traditional knight's gauntlet, made of silver.

This very cute Pokémon will use freeze dry, which freezes opponents for a few seconds. Glaceon will also do a quick attack afterwards.

after being summoned glalie would go up into the air to one of the sides of the stage and start using blizzard on the stage making the stages floor and platforms made of ice making it all slippery. the ice would melt away after about 20 seconds
Glalie would not appear on large stages like great cave offensive and new pork city

Submit a Mii Costume based on a Japanese Theme​

The Festival of Frost is largely based on the Japanese version of New Year's so we will automatically be including a New Year's Kimono Outfit. Please submit a Mii Costume that incorporates an aspect of Japan. Please keep in mind that samurai and ninja outfits have been included already. When submitting, please indicate what kind of outfit it is and how it affects the weapon used.

This year is the year of the Dragon. We will be submitting a Mii Costume from either a first or third-party game of a character that is a dragon. The costume cannot be from a current Dragon-type character and will also prevent them from being submitted as a character later in the season. In addition, it must be a Dragon and not a Dragon-like character like Tiki from Fire Emblem. It must have a Dragon aspect to it. The Dragon will be a Mii Brawler outfit.

Japanese-themed Mii Costume

Tanuki (Mii Mage)

The Tanuki is a shape-shifting raccoon dog youkai from Japanese folklore. In Smash, the Mii Mage will have a large kasa hat on a tanuki-themed hood while the outfit itself is a furry fatsuit like in the statue above. The catalyst for their magic is the drinking gourd in its hand.

Dragon

Kalameet (Dark Souls)

A descendent of the Primordial Archdragons of yore, Kalameet was born with unique characteristics due to the "disparity" brought on by the lighting of the First Flame, most notably its singular orange eye. He even survived the war on the ancient dragons brought on by Lord Gwyn due to its scales not possessing the same weakness to lightning as other dragons.

In Smash, the Kalameet set will consist of its head, adorned by the signature orange eye, and its outfit would be based on the spiny and crooked torso of Kalameet itself.

Happi (Brawler/Swordfighter)

Can either be a Brawler or Swordfighter, with the Brawler outfit coming with gloves like in Mario's outfit, or the Swordfighter outfit coming with those brown stick things (that I don't know the name of) that Peach is holding as a sword.

Dragon Mii Costume

Dragonite (Pokemon)

The only Dragon type evolution line in Generation 1 and one of the most iconic Dragon types in the series.

Draconic Mii: Hydrapple (Pokemon)

Hydrapple is a Pokemon introduced in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. This unique Pokemon serves as the basis for an even more unique Mii Costume. I was going to make a mockup image, but I found this image on google and it more-or-less captures what I was going for.
