Spring Valley (NiGHTS into Dreams)
From the Sega Saturn Cult classic NiGHTS into Dreams. This stage takes place on a platform that flies through the stage and gives you a beautiful breath taking view of the remade HD version of the original stage. There are rings you can jump through, you gains points similar to the coins in the 3D Land stage, and will paper you up. NiGHTS themself will fly beside the platform at some points.

SM43409_A1_505x700.jpg

Sunflower
Has a sun flower head and a plant lot "skirt." In brawler form it just looks like above , gunner there is a flower in the hands that shoots, swordfighter has a stem you can use as a blade, magician has a stem that can be used as a wand, and athlete looks the same.

Red Spider Lily (Mii Mage)

The red spider lily is a flower that, in Japanese culture, is synonymous with death. In Smash, the Mii Mage is covered in lots of small spider lilies covering their body, a larger spider lily being the catalyst for magic.
I think this need a to be a costume that is meant for all of our classes l

A competitive stage with hazards off, essentially being FD with Yoshi's Story slopes. With hazards on, bumpers will move in a windmill pattern on the left and right of the stage and into the blast zones. These bumpers propell one back to the stage. Whenever a successful KO is made, the word "COPE" will light up - whether this is encouragement or a taunt is up to you.

Rokovoj Bereg
Metal Gear Solid

Rokovoj Bereg gets a leg up because 1) we don't have another MGS stage and 2) it has an awesome name. The stage is a large Colisseum-like stage with White Lillies taking a large part of the area where Naked Snake and The Boss originally fought. The background will show the lake with the WIG plane in the background. The foremost background shows the dead trees also shooting up from the field of flowers. This makes the stage very easy to fight in due to its flat appearance but also as walkoff edges making it illegal in tournaments. Once during the match, a nuclear explosion will detonate in the far off background which also causes a stir in the air and causes the flowers to blow in the wind and the air filled with leaves and flowers.

Resubmitting Flower Kingdom

Flower Kingdom (Super Mario Bros Wonder)

View attachment 379309

This is a traveling stage that explores the multiple areas of the Flower Kingdom. The Battlefield and FD variants take place solely at the Petal Isles.

The following sections of the stage are as follows:

Petal Isles: Just a bunch of different platforms for the islands and with water able to KO fighters

Pipe-Rock Plateau: A very rocky landscape with a lot of Piranha Plants and Bulrushes.

Fluff-Puff Peaks: Clouds act as platforms but they dissapear after a while...but they reform.

Shining Falls: An area with walk-offs and lots of metallic platforms

Sunbaked Desert: An area that's so hot...the temperature will affect the stats of fighters with their fighting. Expect some stat nerfs!

Fungi Mines: Fight on the tops of the mushrooms here as some vanish over time.

Deep Magma Bog: Like other fire based stages, the fire can burn you and the molten rock can sink.

You can choose what world you want to start on. However, if you play with the default order, you will start with Petal Isles. Also, in every section, a Wonder Flower will appear causing a Wonder Effect to occur if a fighter touches it. The Wonder Effects that can happen include the stage's gravity altering, platforms moving, etc. There's tons of possibilities that can shake up the fight!

Here are our submissions for a Spring Based Stage!

Spring Stage

Blossoming Arcadia (Pikmin)

Pikmin 4 is one of the most beloved Nintendo games released in 2023, even winning awards at the Game Awards. This stage takes place on a Kindergarten Playground, with the elephant slide in the picture being a prominent part of the stage. Cherry blossom trees adorn the background with pink petals falling on the stage. There will also be blue fences, a small wooden model house, and various other elements from the Pikmin 4 area littered throughout the stage.

Spring Stage:

Ginso Tree (Ori & The Blind Forest)

A platforming level in the game, the Ginso Tree is where water once flowed in which the Spirit Tree could be sustained before the actions of the giant owl Kuro led to it becoming dry and rotten. In Smash, this is a semi-curved stage similar to Mario Galaxy, but with unique bulbs where striking them with any input will cause the player to be boosted in the direction of the input, with Neutral Air defaulting to a weaker upward angle. Occasionally, the Water Veil will start to glow brightly within the cage in the background, causing massive amounts of water to flow similar to the water section of Kalos Pokemon League, large splashes of water functioning similar to Norfair's lava waves occasionally splashing.

Smash Dungeon:
View attachment 384299
Garden Dungeon

A sprawling, colorful garden dungeon with the simple visual gimmick of damage and KOs covering the stage in beautiful flowers. The color of those flowers correlates to the general color palette of the enemy defeated. The enemies that spawn here sport bright color palettes, like Koopa, Octarian, Motobug, Shell Chimeras and Pookas.

Flower Mii Costume:

Red Spider Lily Spirit

The red spider lily is a flower that, in Japanese culture, is synonymous with death. In Smash, the Mii Fighter is covered in lots of small spider lilies covering their body, larger spider lilies being used for different weapons and tools.

Stanley's Greenhouse
Donkey Kong Series
When I picture Spring, the growth of new plantlife is what comes to mind for me, so a stage taking place in a greenhouse would be a cool concept. The best greenhouse to make a stage out of would be the one from Donkey Kong 3, the one with Stanley the Bugman in it. This stage takes a more modern reimagining of the game, with HD graphics and country setting, however the core layout stays the same: you have three semisolid platforms stacked up into a pyramid, on top is a pair of beehives and climbable ropes, with Donkey Kong himself disturbing the beehives to release the bees within (If DK or Diddy are battling in this stage DK will be replaced by the robot Donkey Kong from the DKC Cartoon) these bees will chase the nearest fighter and attack rapidly with small hits. You can defeat the bees with a single attack so they aren't that major of obstacles. Sometimes DK will drop an entire beehive, releasing an entire swarm, which is much more dangerous than a single bee. You can damage DK and cause him to fall, which causes the middle of the stage to collapse from his weight, which will luckily be fixed afterwards, though you have to deal with DK again. Of course there is also the biggest element of the stage, the flowers, on the bottom of the stage flowers will slowly grow, you need to protect the flowers from the insects like the bees and worms coming out of the ground, and you also can't hit them too much or else they wilt. Eventually a flower will bloom, releasing a collectible power boost that one of the fighters can collect, this can be a yellow flower giving super armor, a red flower giving better attacking strength, or a blue flower healing the collector. This adds both cooperation and competition as the stage quickly transitions from the party protecting and then individually collecting each flower. Overall, this is a stage that feels like a solid update of a classic game, while also not falling into any of the classic trappings of a retro stage.

The amount of Anna and :ultjoker: shipping proceeded to result in an upswing in comparisons of Anna with Persona 5 Violet given their close resemblance (similar to the jokes made about Rhea and Palutena when Byleth was added to Smash) and the fact that she is one of the potential love interests in game. This also resulted in an upswing in requests for the character to be added to Infinite, making her one of the most popular echo requests.

Just to let you know that even though I started a job just a few hours ago but I meant to start it last night. That being said, we will be doing a character submission this evening.

the requirements will be a character that is themed around Spring, nature, flowers, and the colors green and/or yellow. In addition, it must be from a Japanese IP/company and can be first or third party. Our final stage for this festival may be based on this character but it really depends. If not, we can go with another stage prompt.

Alrighty, lemme suggest this character for the new job:

1707446773880.png

...whoops, not the shot I want, lemme fix that.

1707446781537.png

There we go!

REISALEN "RYZA" STOUT

Reisalin Stout, better known by her nickname Ryza, is the titular protagonist of the Atelier Ryza trilogy, part of the overall Atelier franchise by a company long overdue for a playable character, Koei-Tecmo.

The Atelier games are JRPGs with a heavy emphasis on herbalism and alchemy, finding materials and combining them with items to upgrade them into more powerful items. While the series was generally been under the radar for a time, it was the first game of the Ryza trilogy that brought the franchise into the limelight, to the point where Ryza herself has become a contender for a playable KT character alongside Kasumi, Lu Bu, and Ryu Hayabusa.

The battle system for Ryza's home game is simple: while you do have Action Points as a resource there's also a Tactics level that you can raise at max AP, to a maximum of Level 5. The higher your Tactics level, the more hits your normal attacks can do, the higher your Skill level (leading to more effects), and the higher your AP cap.

We can replicate this into Smash by having something similar: by attacking you build up AP that Ryza can use to upgrade her Tactics level, granting her new Special move effects and rewarding her for maintaining momentum.

Lip
Panel de Pon Franchise
Out of all the franchises that have non-fighter representation in Smash Bros, Panel de Pon is likely the most iconic. While the franchise is relatively unknown outside the Eastern market, the games still seep their influences through the various references and reskins they get, most notably Yoshi's Tetris Attack, Pokemon Puzzle League, and Animal Crossing Puzzle League. I think it would be cool to have the origins of these variants represented in Smash to tie the games closer together. Out of all the characters in that game, Lip is the most iconic since her Lip's Stick item has been a series staple since Melee, with the flower effect it brings being a reoccurring status effect, additionally Lip also had a Mii costume, so like K Rool it would be cool seeing her be promoted to full on fighter. Lip also fits the springtime aesthetic this festival brings due to her yellow and pink color scheme complimenting the vibrant plant life associated with the season. Additionally she is both fairy-like, has what is considered a cute design, and has a distinct anime art-style. Plus, she would also continue the legacy of each Smash game bringing in a new retro gaming rep like Takamaru was for base Infinite. Moveset-wise, I imagine she would have moves both inspired by her puzzle game of origin, and have moves that act like an enhancement of the Lip's Stick item, meaning she would focus on dealing damage over time rather than immediate damage, giving her a unique niche in the cast. While she is a bit obscure since she is mainly a Japan-only franchise, she could have the potential to be as iconic as Lucas or Marth, exposing her franchise to a wider western audience.

Trying this again...

Tom Nook (Animal Crossing)

Ever since New Horizons was released, Animal Crossing has catapulted into one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, so it's high time the series got a third fighter in Smash. After Isabelle, Tom Nook is easily the most iconic character. He ties into the theme in multiple ways: he's cute, wears primarily green, and Animal Crossing is always changing with the seasons. You can even catch actual cherry blossom petals! There's so much you can pull from for his moveset and he really feels like one of the biggest Nintendo characters not yet in the game.

Newcomer for Festival of Spring: Klonoa

Klonoa is the eponymous protagonist from a platformer game series called Klonoa, Klonoa is a...i don't really know what are he is,if he is a rabbit or a cat or a hybrid of both, Klonoa's adventure starts when a mysterious ring called Wind Ring falls in a village where Klonoa lives, and he met (just in one game...i think) Huepow who it is a spirit of the ring,in the Klonoa 2 he met Lolo and Popka and the trio went to an adventure.

Klonoa is a forgotten Namco mascot, he had some appearances as Namco X Capcom, Klonoa stared on PlayStation 1,and then his games was added in Nintendo consoles, including the exclusives games from Game Boy Advance, and Klonoa have some Criteria

  • He's from Namco, who is a Japanese company
  • he is from a village who have forests
  • he is a unknown creature, but does it count Klonoa as mythological creature?
  • his design is cute (in the first game, but Klonoa's design from the second game is better)
  • Klonoa probably have an anime design (because he was created by Japanese people, duh)
  • Klonoa appeared in some Nintendo consoles
    • Klonoa: Moonlight Museum (GBA)
    • Klonoa: Empire of Dreams (GBA)
    • Klonoa: Dream Champ Tournament (GBA)
    • Klonoa Heroes: Densetsu No Star Medal (GBA)
    • Klonoa (remake of Wii)
    • Klonoa: Fantasy Reverie Series (Switch)

Cooking Mama (Cooking Mama)

Cooking Mama is the titular protagonist of the Cooking Mama series, a cooking simulation series known for its cutesy artstyle and well beloved by Nintendo fans. The series is heavily associated with Nintendo consoles, much like Ace Attorney, being one of the most heavily associated 3rd Party series with Nintendo platforms specifically. This character fits the prompt well, with a cutesy artstyle and an adorable series well known for providing fun for the whole family. Even better, the series has a gardening spinoff based on, well... gardening, with a heavy focus on plants and nature, also starring the titular character, making this even more perfect for the prompt! Overall, Cooking Mama is a heavily Nintendo focused 3rd Party, would represent an underrepresented genre, being cooking and casual games, and fits the prompt of Spring and Nature perfectly, and so would be an excellent character to add!

Galarian Rapidash

A speedy heavyweight with a quadrupedal frame - Galarian Rapidash is a fairy type, affiliated with nature, and - in spite of a stern face - is very bright and colourful. With psychic powers and a strong horn, as well as the ability to learn fire type moves like its Kantonian self with TMs, this is a formiddable fighter. They would be in the top 15 or so fastest, and also in the top 20 or so heaviest. Galarian Rapidash also simultaniously represents Gen 1 (Pokemon's most beloved era to the general public), and Gen 8, which isn't yet represented with a fighter.

Amaterasu (Okami)

I tend to prefer bringing in new series (sorry Hestu & Viridi). Admittedly i struggled to come up with someone who fit the theme (besides Pete the Farmer who i have brought up before to seemingly little interest). Then I remembered this game. Originally developed by Clover (several key members later formed Platinum) & owned by Capcom. Is a cult classic that seems like it is available on just about every platform through re-releases. Honestly havent played it yet so cant speak personally of potential & know there may be challenges given the fighting games tend to avoid quadrupedal characters. Where i do personally think Dante is probably the best next pick for a Capcom rep i feel like this choice would is still recognizable & would hopefully be popular & maybe convince a new audience to check out the classic game.

Tingle
We're due another Zelda rep. Tingle is a pretty infamous character with a lot of personality. He's been in multiple games and even had his own spin off games for a time. He fits our themes very well. He's green, is dressed like a fairy, and his games have heavy flower theming. He hasn't been in a Zelda game in a while but with roumors of the Wind Waker port coming to switch he might pop up soon. He would have a very wacky, off the wall moveset.

don-chan/don wada (taiko no tatsujin)

interms of criteria -
  • don-chan is a japanese IP and from a japanese company
  • third party character
  • don-chan is both adorable but also has a sort of anime inspired artstyle
  • don-chan has appeared on a nintendo console before
(if your wondering why I chose don over katsu its mostly a popularity thing plus not a big fan of duo styled characters)

Thankfully no one submitted one yet but I forgot one ruling and I almost broke it with my submission with Akari from DoA

Due to Sub-Zero, we are not allowing for a fighting game character. In addtion, Mario, Splatoon, and Mortal Kombat are obviously for possible characters.

Sorry about that

Here are the results of the stage voting!

Name5 Points4 Points3 Points2 Points1 PointTotal
Blossoming Arcadia1 (5)3 (12)2 (6)1 (2)126
Ginso Tree2 (10)02 (6)1 (2)220
Stalney's Greenhouse1 (5)1 (4)02 (4)013
Spring Valley1 (5)3 (12)01 (2)019
Spring Yard Zone1 (5)01 (3)019
Rokovoj Bereg2 (10)2 (8)2 (3)3 (6)128
Flower Kingdom1 (5)01 (4)0211

We will be holding a vote between the following two stages due to the second place being within striking range. As per usual, high-stakes important submissions such as stages often utilize this runoff poll. This will be between Pikmin's Blossoming Arcadia and Metal Gear Solid's Rokovoj Bereg.

We will end the poll early about the currency as the Cherry Blossoms is winning 7 - 1 to Easter Eggs.

Tsubasa Oribe
Tsubasa Oribe is one of the heroes from the crossover game, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE which includes elements from Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem. Tsubasa Oribe and TMS#FE as a fighter and a need for the character is subpar at best but her inclusion would be rather interesting, to say the least, and helps highlight a fantastical/schoolgirl/magical girl type archetype that we are missing. Plus, she wields a staff/spear which is something we are missing. Her inclusion is questionable though due to the fact TMS#FE came and went during a failed system but saw a port come out for the Switch. I think, from an appearance perspective, Tsubasa would be an interesting addition but an underwhelming one, and I question if we could include content to create a moveset for plus TMS#FE content. Still, this is a character I would like to submit.

The fighting game rule was sad. My first three ideas was Akane (DoA), Nakoruru (SamSho), and Heart Aino (AH).

Raguna (Rune Factory)

Rune Factory is a farming series that started as a Spin-off of Story Of Seasons. This series is different from Story Of Seasons due to it's fantasy theming and the combat, story structure and general aesthetics.

Raguna is the protagonist of Rune Factory 1 and Frontier, thus making him the most reoccuring but due to Rune Factory's many games and with how they work you could easily have every alt be a new Protagonist. In Terms of Gameplay Raguna could not only farm but also use the various weapons and spells you can obtain along the way.

In Terms of Gameplay Raguna could not only farm but also use the various weapons and spells you can obtain along the way.

Here are our submissions in the listed form:
  • Reisalen "Ryza" Stout (Atlier) (JRPG)
  • Lip (Panel de Pon (Puzzle)
  • Tom Nook (Animal Crossing) (Management/Simulator)
  • Klonoa (Klonoa) (Platformer)
  • Cooking Mama (Cooking Mama) (Cooking/Strategy)
  • Galarian Rapidash (Pokemon) (RPG)
  • Amaterasu (Okami) (RPG/Action-adventure)
  • Tingle (Zelda) (Action-adventure)
  • Donchan (Taiko no Tatsujin) (Rhythm)
  • Tsubasa Oribe (Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE)
  • Raguna (Rune Factory) (Management/Simulation)
Please remember we are including a character to not only be included in our DLC live roster but also to represent and headline the Cherry Blossom Festival which is a spring-oriented festival. Please revisit the requirements here:

  • Character from Japanese IP/Company
  • Character can be first or third party
  • Character can be from preexisting franchise
  • No Splatoon/Mario/MK characters
  • No fighting game characters
  • Character should have a connection to Spring which may include
    • Spring in general
    • Flowers
    • Nature
    • Cherry blossoms
    • fairies/pixies/dainty mythological creatures
    • Cute/Adorable appearance
    • Video game but anime design

Amaterasu and Tom Nook are top choices for me personally. Lip and Cooking Mama would be interesting picks.

But if I wish to be bias for a moment. I love to see Klonoa in. He gets my best vote. So yeah, some of these are decent picks.

As we wait for the votes to be casted, we will have several easy jobs...

Submit a Mii Costume based on a Grass-type Pokemon

We will be submitting a Pokemon costume that covers the entire character and is either a pure or dual-grass type. It can be for any of the Mii Classes.

Submit a Regular Crop
As a way to gain gold, festival currency, and even some items, a new mechanic is being introduced called Crops. This allows players to play crops in an area of the island on their plot. Each server has a set number of plots and will be loaded up once the player connects to the Smash Hub world. Crops first start as seeds and then grow based on how often you water them. Once a certain amount of time has passed, you can successfully harvest the items.

Regular crops are just like that.... crops from everyday life. Submit one vegetable that will be a crop and how much Gold you receive from selling it. Furthermore, you can also attach an additional prize to it based on milestone sells. Like sell 100 and you get a Mii Costume.

Submit a Master Crop

A Master Crop is based, currently, on first-party crops found in Nintendo's archives. These fetch more money but the seeds are far harder to come by. Submit the crop, how much each crop sells for, and a milestone present.

Mii Costume
Meowscarada
Easy choice, they are the newest Grass-type starter, and being a magician-themed Pokemon, they would be worn by the Mii Mage.

1707541664977.png

Normal Crop - Cabbage
Cabbages are short-growing plants (roughly 1-3 battles long) that give 50 coins when fully grown. When you grow 500 a red cabbage will grow, this cabbage can't be sold but it can be kicked like a kickball.

1707541773232.png

Master Crop - Iceberg Eggplant (Ice Climbers)
A very iconic vegetable in my opinion, it's the Ice Climber's Smash icon after all. This eggplant sells for 300 coins, which is the number of points you get in Ice Climbers. When you grow 10, equal to the number of different vegetable types in Ice Climbers, you unlock a special Ice Climbers costume.

Ogerpon (Mii Swordfighter)

The mascot Legendary for the Teal Mask DLC. In Smash, the outfit itself is based on Ogerpon's body, with the sword being the grassy Kanabo club that is shown in some of her animations. What makes this stick out more is that for the headgear there are 4 Ogerpon Masks to choose from: Teal, Wellspring, Hearthflame, and Cornerstone.

Regular Crop

Carrots

Carrots are moderately grown, at 5-7 battles per crop, and give 150 coins per harvest. If you grow 400 carrots, you'll get a Giant Carrot, adding an Item that spawns in Smash Battles: a giant Battering Item that deals 1/2 the damage of the Ore Club but when reaching 0 durability will split into 6 carrot slices that serve as food items to be consumed during the match. Each slice heals you for 4% damage

Turnips (Animal Crossing)

In Animal Crossing, Turnips are an essential part of the game, even making it into Villager's and Isabelle's movesets. They can be eaten, planted or sold to either Joan or Daisy Mae for Bells. In Smash, Turnips are as valuable as they are in Animal Crossing, selling for 660 coins, one of the higher prices for them in the Stalk Market. Growing 15 of them grants you a new Assist Trophy:

Daisy Mae

When summoned into battle, Daisy Mae will wander around, occasionally dropping large turnips as throwing items for all players to pick up. You can use these turnips to attack players or return them to Daisy Mae for a random stat-buff temporary similar to the Dark Emperor.

Grass-type Mii costume: Decidueye

Am I still bitter that Incineroar got in over him? Maybe. But I suppose a Mii costume is the next best thing. He could be a Mii Gunner, with his "gun" being his bow.

My choice for Grass type Pokémon Mii costume: Lilligant

Debuting in Black and White, Lilligant would be a fun Mii costume choice. The cap will be Lilligants head and flower. She will be for Mil Sword Fighter, and her Leaf arms will be the Sword.
