We start off with Bowser in a flying castle, flying over an unknown desert area. Suddenly Bowser jumps out and we pan over to Ganondorf, holding his sword in an intimidating way. The tone suddenly shifts to be way more comical as Bowser pulls out a letter bag and takes out an envelope. He hands it to Ganon and it’s revealed to be a Smash invitation, only… The colour is black instead of white. Ganon smiles and gameplay is shown of a bunch of new characters: Bowser Jr, King K Rool, Ridley, Wolf, Marx, Dark Matter Sephiroth and Kazuya, and all their home stages. After the trailer is a title reveal and then a stinger showing a brief glance at Dr. Eggman.

In the middle of the Nintendo Switch 2 (or whatever)’s life span Sakurai has confirmed the sequel to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate won’t be releasing until the next generation. So, for now, a spin-off featuring only villainous video game characters and some reused assets from Ultimate without the involvement of Sakurai. So, in this thread, we’re going to make a super smash bros. game with villains! We’ll decide characters, items if we want any, assist characters and stages of this hypothetical game! So if you’re interested join us, jobs 1 and 2 will start in a bit as we make the ultimate collection of the most iconic villains in gaming!

Krazy Kremland
Donkey Kong series
An amusement park for Kremlings, with roller coasters, a giant Ferris wheel, coloured carnival tents, fireworks, and other attractions.
However, some fun rides are dangerous and in terrible state of disrepair, with their tracks being often broken and with gaps.

The fighters battle on a skull-themed coaster barrelling down the unstable tracks at high speed through the entire park with Klanks racing each other.
Next, the coaster goes into an overgrown infestation of brambles everywhere making the whole thing risky, falling into the brambles damages you.
Lastly, the coaster crashes through a huge hive filled with Zingers coming after you as well King Sting himself attacking.
The coaster goes back out of the hive and into the park.

Flying Battery Zone
Sonic series
You start out on the floor of Mushroom Hill, but then an onscreen arrow prompts you to jump onto the platform in the above Flying Battery airship to avoid being left on the ground and blast zoned, similarly to Halberd. You stay on the exterior of the Flying Battery on this same platform, hovering platforms occasionally appear on the sides of it. Sometimes the Flying Battery goes into a cloud, and everything becomes dark and stormy - also, Cluckers appear in the background and shoot slow-flying, low-damage, high-hitstun eggs at random opponents. Don't worry, though, they disappear when the storm passes after about a minute or so. If hazards are off, the takeoff sequence is gone, Cluckers do not appear, the hovering platforms stay still (like Kalos) and the stage will randomly have clear or stormy skies.

Bowser's Axe
Mario series
This powerful projectile is thrown in an arc, dealing major damage and knockback while instantly shattering shields. However, it acts like a heavy item, limiting the wielder's movement. It can also only be thrown once before despawning.
Kleever
Donkey Kong series
Acts like the Killing Edge, but also launches fireballs.
Captain's Hat
Zelda series
When you put it on, three Stalchild’s follow by you and try to attack enemies. It will also cause the ReDead assist trophy to not attack you. If you take enough damage you can drop the mask and someone else can pick it up.
Egg Bazooka
Sonic series
Functions the same as the bazooka from Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Feng Shui Engine
Street Fighter series
When picked up it makes a purple aura around you which increases speed and strength for ten seconds.
Spiked Bat
Tekken series
Similar to the Home Run bat, only it doesn’t have as much knockback and it deals more damage. It’s a bit shorter too. Based on the bat used by [TOP SECRET]
Eagle Bomb
Space Firebird series
When thrown, the Eagle Bomb explodes, throwing out weaker but still dangerous shrapnel.
Glass Joe's Helmet
Punch-Out!! series
Protects you from damage, but you can still take knock back. After 4 hits, the helmet breaks.
Hedlok
Arms series
Fighter wears mask and all melee attack damage will be tripled.
Bear Trap
Original item
Pretty much the Pitfall analogue - Put it down, and once anyone steps on it, they get trapped inside, having to mash buttons in order to escape.

Goomba
Mario series
When summoned, Goomba will just waddle forwards in the direction its summoner was facing. Making contact with its sides deals major damage and knockback (and one falling on you is a spike), but as always, it can easily be disposed of with a stomp. In addition, it's also fairly slow and waddles off ledges. In short, it's an assist you'll have to make work, but if you can manage it, you'll be handsomely rewarded.

Like Like
Zelda series
It moves around and swallows any villains who get close to it, and makes them drop any items they might be carrying. While they're swallowed they're susceptible to attacks from other characters.
Visual search query image
ReDead
Zelda series
Slowly walks back and forth across the stage. If an opponent gets near, it grabs them tightly, dealing 3% per second they are entrapped. The opponent must mash to break free, which is harder if they're at a high percent. The summoner can attack the opponent while they are apprehended by the Redead, which releases its grasp but allows one to start a combo or take a stock.

Neutral B: Arrow Storm
Marx would charge out arrows and release them, the longer the charge, the higher the rows of arrows

Side B: Ball Kick
Marx would roll onto a bouncy ball and move, pressing B again would have him kick it and it would explode, however sometimes depending on damage combos, it can release the big Bomb

Up B: Radiant Flight
Marx would equip his wings and fly upwards

Down B: Vine Thorns
Marx would plant seeds into the ground which would plant into thorns, the maximum is five and would plant after ten seconds

Final Smash: Dark Laser
Marx would split in half summoning a black hole to inhale foes leading them into a electric black background where Marx in his soul form would appear and fire his large laser burning them
Marx
Neutral - Dark Beam/Dark Sphere
Dark Matter aims its sword forwards and shoots a small beam of darkness forwards.
This beam is fairly weak, only dealing 4% and causes minor flinching, but it does travel a good distance before dissipating.

You can mash the B button to have Dark Matter shoot the beams at a faster pace.
If the B button is released, Dark Matter raises its sword over its face and charges an orb of darkness over its head.

Dark Matter then chucks the orb forward as a projectile.
The orb deals 10% and moderate knockback and travels at a moderate speed and distance before fading away.

While charging the move, Dark Matter can aim the orb into any direction based on controller input.
If the orb touches the ground, it ricochets off of it and flies into a new direction, increasing its duration.

The orb can also be reflected by opponents who attack it, similar to King Dedede’s Gordo.
If the orb is reflected, it splits into 3 smaller orbs.

These smaller orbs fly in the opposite direction where the large orb was flying and can deal 5% to Dark Matter if they collide with it.
Dark Matter can chuck 3 orbs at a time.

Side - Mini Matter
Dark Matter reveals its eyeball and shoots a smaller Dark Matter forward.
You can control the Mini Matter with the controller, much like Ness' PK Thunder and Snake's Remote Missile.

If the Mini Matter touches a foe, it will possess them, dealing small DMG and covers the foe in a dark aura.
While in this state, the foe's movement speed is slightly decreased for 5 seconds.

The Mini Matter travels at a moderately slow speed and it does count as a projectile, meaning it can be reflected and pocketed to be used against Dark Matter.
Dark Matter cannot move while controlling the Mini Matter, leaving it open for punishment.

Also, once a player is hit by the Mini Matter, Dark Matter cannot shoot out another one until the slowdown effect wears off.

Up - Dark Rocket
Dark Matter turns into its orb form and blasts upwards.

Down - Dark Orbs
Dark Matter rears back its robe and floats in place as it detaches one of the orbs on its back, which then slowly orbits around Dark Matter.
This orb orbits around Dark Matter for 4 seconds, and once it does, it automatically explodes.

This explosion deals small DMG to opponents too close to the orb.
The orb can also absorb attacks from opponents, with it exploding immediately once it does.

Holding B has Dark Matter continue to detach more appendages out of its back, with Dark Matter having up to 4 orbs orbiting around it.
Dark Matter can move around, jump, and attack with the orbs orbiting around it.

If you tap the Down Special again if any orbs are out, Dark Matter shoots them forward as slow-moving projectiles that home in on the nearest opponent.
The orbs do count as projectile however, so they can be reflected and pocketed.

Dark Matter also cannot move while detaching its appendages, leaving it open for punishment.
If Dark Matter is hit while detaching its appendages, the move will be cancelled, and the orbs dissipate.

Final Smash - Hyper Zone
Dark Matter transforms into its true form and roars as it forms large tendril-like clouds all around its body.

If any opponents (3 in total) are hit by the clouds, they’ll be dragged into a cinematic Final Smash.

The foes are dropped into the Hyper Zone and Zero, the source of Dark Matter, appears in a flash of light and sends out numerous Dark Matter out of its body that ram into the opponents, racking their DMG up.

Zero then finishes by shooting a massive cloud of sparkles out of its eye at the opponents that explodes, dealing large DMG to the opponents and causing the screen to fade to white.

The screen then fades back to the battle as the opponents are launched away and Dark Matter returns to resume the fight.

If the foes are over 100%, they’ll be KO’d.
Dark Matter
Wolf Super Smash Bros Ultimate | Unlock, Stats, Moves
Wolf
Snake’s echo, the differences are that he’s lighter, does less damage in general, and his jab is changed to be based on his punches from the boss fight against him in Metal Gear Solid. Additionally his final smash is changed to use Metal Gear Rex.Liquid Snake
For VSB, Dr. Eggman pilots a version of the Egg Walker dubbed the "Egg Walker S" - The chasis of the mech resembles the traditional Egg Mobile we all know and love, complimented by lightweight legs (which contract when Eggman jumps, making the mech resemble the Egg Mobile even more).
  • Neutral Special: Lock-On Cannon
    • The Egg Walker S emits a thin red laser in front of itself, marking any opponent that comes in contact with it. Once the special button is released, the Egg Walker S deploys a homing missile for every opponent it marks. While the missiles are fast and strong, they will only move in a straight line, making them easily dodgeable. In addition, Dr. Eggman is left helpless until all missiles have been fired.
  • Side Special: Egg Drillster
    • The Egg Walker S sprouts wheels and a drill, driving forwards and repeatedly damaging opponents it comes in contact with. The move can be held out indefinitely, but can also be canceled by firing the drill forwards, causing the Egg Walker NSto revert to normal. If used in the air, the Egg Walker S gains some forward momentum as it begins moving.
  • Up Special: Egg Press
    • The Egg Walker S uses a giant spring to propel itself into the air before crashing down, being able to bury or spike opponents. While this move is incredibly strong, it does not cover much vertical distance.
  • Down Special: Badniks
    • A compartment on the Egg Walker S opens up, deploying a Badnik depending on Dr. Eggman's location.
      • If the move is used on the ground, Dr. Eggman deploys a Egg Pawn with a lance, which will remain in place indefinitely. If an opponent comes within range of the Egg Pawn, it will swing their lance at them, dealing considerable damage and knockback.
      • If the move is used in the air, Dr. Eggman deploys a Buzz Bomber, which will remain in place much like the Egg Pawn. If an opponent comes within range of the Buzz Bomber, it fires an energy projectile at them, dealing less damage than the Egg Pawn's attack, but having the potential to paralyze the opponent.
      • Dr. Eggman can only have one of each Badnik type in play at a time, with there being a cooldown between each. Badniks can also be destroyed by taking enough damage from opponents.
  • Final Smash: Death Egg Robot
    • Dr. Eggman takes control of the Death Egg Robot, which flies into the background. This Final Smash is similar to the Giga Bowser Punch, only with missiles being fired at opponents for a few seconds before the punch aiming reticle appears, making it a combo of Snake and Bowser's Final Smashes.
Dr. Eggman
The Ghost Gang acts a stance change fighter, with the player being able to swap between all four ghosts. However, this only changes their attributes and none of their attacks; Blinky increases attack power, Inky increases movement speed, Pinky increases jump height, and Clyde increases knockback resistance.
  • Neutral Special: Ghost Patrol
    • The player’s current ghost leaves the gang and becomes a pixelated form of themselves, patrolling an area around themselves. Every ghost which leaves the Ghost Gang decreases the current ghost’s weight, and patrolling ghosts can be “KO’d” by taking enough damage, although this will cause them to merely be unavailable for a short time before rejoining the Ghost Gang. In addition, the current ghost can recall a patrolling ghost back into the party by pressing the special button while being near them.
  • Side Special: Chase
    • The current ghost transitions into their pixelated form before rushing forwards, with any other ghosts currently available following behind as a smaller, weaker hitbox to compliment the current ghost’s stronger hitbox.
  • Up Special: UFO
    • The current ghost loads themself in a UFO, being able to pilot it in eight directions while in a “free-flight” state. However, the move has no hitbox, and once the UFO runs out of fuel, the ghost will enter freefall.
  • Down Special: Sonic Boo
    • The current ghost lets out an eerie shriek, creating circular sound waves around itself. While the shriek deals no damage to opponents, it does act as a weak windbox. In addition, patrolling ghosts within earshot of the shriek will experience a temporary boost in movement speed.
  • Shield Special: Ghost Swap
    • The current ghost is exchanged for the next one in the rotation (Blinky -> Inky -> Pinky -> Clyde -> Blinky).
  • Final Smash: Level 256
    • The edges of the screen become a glitchy pixelated mess as glitchy ghosts begin to fly out of them, dealing considerable damage and knockback to opponents upon contact. Touching the glitchy edges at 100% or higher causes a fighter to be dragged into the void, insta-KOing them.
Ghost Gang
Neutral Special: Energy Orb
A chargeable move similar to Samus’s neutral special.

Side Special: Alien Blasts
He shoots three quick travelling small energy orbs from a retro looking gun.

Up Special: Wily Capsule
He gets into the Wily Capsule and flies directly upwards. It’s a pretty good recovery option since he flies pretty far and has hit boxes on his top and side. To offset it, he is overall really light.

Down Special: Pin
A slow moving attack where he reaches upwards and slams a pin into the ground. While it’s difficult to hit someone it can potentially allow you to deal additional damage to them.

Final Smash: Alien
He goes into his Alien Wily form and is fully controllable. He can fly everywhere in this state and is invincible.
Dr. Wily
B : Psycho Shot
B + Forwards : Psycho Crusher
B + Up : Hell's Warp
B + Down : Devil Reverse
Final Smash: Ultimate Psycho Crusher
M. Bison
Juri would also have inputs, the inputs function similarly to the other Shotos in Ultimate, powerful versions of her regular attacks.

At low health Juri bends backwards and activates her Feng Shui engine increasing all of her stats for a limited time.

Neutral Special: Fuharenkyaku: Tapping the button has Juri kick her leg up storing some dark energy, This dark energy is stored and depending on how much is stored changes this attack when you hold the button
0-1 Kicks has her shoot out a grounded projectile
2 Kicks has juri perform a jumping overhead kick
3 Kicks has Juri use 2 powerful kicks.

Side Special: Ryodansatsu: A Forward Somersault kick

Up Special: Tensenrin: Juri spins around and is propelled upwards by dark energy, the longer you hold the button the farther you go

Down Special is Focus attack, it's juri's focus attack from SFIV

Final smash: Sakai Fuhazen/ Kaisen Dankairaku
Sakai Fuhazen: Activated from afar, Juri shoots out a giant blade of Dark Energy
Kaisen Dankairaku: Activated up close, juri enters a cutscene with the nearest opponent reenacting the attack from SFVI

Super Smash Bros Ultimate Sephiroth Move List & Tips! - YouTube
Sephiroth
Neutral Special: Hellfire

A chargeable attack. Normally he shoots one small quick travelling fireball but after charging he can shoot three.

Side Special: Dark Inferno

He shoots a big, slow travelling meteor that explodes upon contact with opponents. Needs to be charged a bit before firing the projectile.

Up Special: Bat

He transforms into a fly and, for a short amount of time, is fully controllable. If time runs out or he is hit he will transform back into a human form and enters free fall.

Down Special: Soul Steal

If he’s close enough to an enemy a small whispy orb will exit their body and follow towards Dracula. This damages the opponent and there’s a small chance it could heal Dracula.

Final Smash: True Dracula

Transformation final smashes are back! He goes into his true form where he’s invincible and he can fly all across the stage.

Neutral Special: Blaster Ray
Cortex fires a shot of dark purple energy from his ray gun, which will then hover around the stage for a few seconds before dissipating. However, there is a one in five chance for him to instead shoot a larger, slower, green variation of these projectiles, which deals more damage and knockback, but can simply be attacked to send it flying back toward Cortex, who can only fight back against it through use of his down special.

Side Special: Cortex Mines
Cortex pulls out a mine and tosses it out, which will explode after a few seconds or if it makes contact with an opponent. By holding down the input for a bit, Cortex will instead throw out three mines in front of him. Cortex can also set off these mines if he gets too close to them, which will then damage himself.

Up Special: Hoverboard
Cortex spawns his hoverboard, of which he’s able to freely but slowly fly around upon a set distance away from the starting point it was activated. While flying on the hoverboard, Cortex can input either neutral or side special to use any of those respective moves, but no other attacks. The hoverboard can be cancelled at any time through inputting Up B again, but whether Cortex does that or lets it run out naturally, he goes into freefall after.

Down Special: Force Field
Cortex conjures a force field around himself that makes him impervious to attacks, but can be brought down easily by either five weaker attacks, three average attacks, or one strong attack. The forcefield will also be immediately brought down if Cortex’s green blast is redirected at him or if he comes into contact with his own mine.

Final Smash: N Brio's Secret Stash
Cortex pulls out a beaker of N. Brio’s mutation formula and chugs it down, transforming into his mutant form from Mind Over Mutant. While in this form, Cortex goes on a rampage across the stage, wildly swinging his arms in wide arcs while he moves forward, each dealing great damage and knockback. After five swings, Cortex reverts back to normal.

Occasional character interactions, two bonus challenges (break the targets-esque stuff), and mostly random battles apart from a few rival encounters. Each of our villains would have one or two rivals.

Bonus game: Evil Training
Evil Training is very similar to Break The Targets, each playable villain has own unique level design (similar to Smash 64 and Melee break The Targets) and the Targets are training dolls and the playable villain will destroys 10 dolls ,and the training dolls are dolls of a hero of each villain from respective franchise, as example: Bowser and Bowser Jr needs destroy Mario and Luigi dolls, Dr. Eggman needs destroys Sonic dolls, Ganondorf needs destroys Link dolls and etc.

Mii team equivalent: Sidekicks

Essentially be generic, faceless Super Heroes. 3 Variants which would have different designs and color schemes.
A - Small, Quick, Weak Close Ranged Attacks
B - Average Size, Speed, & power with Projectiles
C - Heavy, Slow, more Powerful attacks with Bat

Home Run Contest returns with a few changes, it is mostly the same but make Spiked Bat the item and make Sandbag an “iron sandbag” instead. So for this mode the sandbag is harder to deal damage to but flies further in general than Ultimate’s sandbags.

New mode: Take Over the World

Take Over the World
You choose one of our characters. Players have a map full of iconic locations like the Mushroom Kingdom, Donkey Kong Island, Green Hill Zone, Hyrule, Dream Land, etc. It's laid out like an RTS map, and there will be key locations that must be taken by doing battles and challenges in order to capture them and then battling the boss of that area, be that one of our bosses or another playable character. You can also send out troops to attack key zones, which we could use our assists for. Each character will have their own unique abilities for this so there is a ton of replay value. The end goal is to take over the world. You also unlock wanted posters and other bonuses along the way.
Giga Cat Mario
Mario series
Fight takes place at the Lakeside Giga Bell. Mario attacks would include scratching and climbing like with the cat powerup as well as jumping causing damage below plus spawn a damaging ring that will quickly move through the area near.

Sonic runs at his canon speed - that is, faster than the speed of sound - as he dashes at various angles across the stage. It's almost futile to try and attack him in this state, and getting hit by him hits hard, so you'll have to time your dodges rather than position yourself well. He taunts often, and these are your best shots at attacking him. Sonic has a few moves of his own:
-A homing attack (homes in from a distance)
-A Spin Dash (same as Smash)
-A Wild Rush (Sonic dashes in multiple directions towards the opponent before barreling at them with a powerful kick)

After getting to 1/4 health, Sonic goes Super, and gains the following attacks that are stronger versions of the above attacks

-Sonic Wind (homes in from a distance, but is faster, stronger, and doesn't extend his hurtbox)
-A Drop Dash (minimal windup, will lead into an aerial combo)
-A Loop Kick (is faster, can lead into more stuff)

Sonic does retain many of his moves from Smash but won't use most of them unless the opponent is knocked down - he's not just gonna wait for you to get back up! When defeated, the Chaos Emeralds leave Sonic and he falls down like this:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic series

Job #1: Which Characters Should Return?
These are the characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate who can be considered villains of any kind:
  • Dark Samus
  • Ganondorf
  • Mewtwo
  • Meta Knight
  • King Dedede
  • Dark Pit
  • Wario
  • Wolf
  • Bowser Jr.
  • Ridley
  • King K. Rool
  • Sephiroth
  • Kazuya
(Donkey Kong and Byleth aren’t included since they’re mostly associated with being protagonists. Generic enemies are probably going to be assists so Piranha Plant isn’t included on this list either. They might be eligible just not now.)

So how many of those characters should return? This will mostly be a discussion about which characters are worth adding into this thread. Keep in mind that their assets are being reused from Ultimate so there’s not too much effort needed for each character. Please specify if you think they should all return or if one or two shouldn’t be added now.

Job #2: Submit A Villain From A Series In Smash
Submit a villain from a series that is already in smash but does not have a character on that list above. They don’t necessarily need to be from a series with playable representation. Please submit the character, a bit about who they are and how they would fight, and why they deserve to be on the roster. It must be a named villain since minions like goombas or slimes can be our game’s assists when we decide that later on. Have fun!

I think all except Dedede, Mewtwo, Meta Knight, Dark Pit, and Wario should return. Mewtwo and Wario would be fine enough though.

Villain submission: The Bus Driver (Pokemon)

Aaah, nothing strikes fear into the heart of fans of Japanese franchises more than comedic western advertising! This horrible man witnessed Drake Bell trading Pokemon and went on a quest to catch them all (that being all the Pokemon, not all the disgraced Nickelodeon alumni) using his trash compactor - I imagine his moveset compositing in references to many different Nintendo ads - mostly American - Mr. Game & Watch style. There's probably a few ads that might be hard to reference under an E10+ rating, but it'll still be fun.

Job #01: I think the majority of characters coming back would be fun, but not necessarily all of them. If this is a spinoff, it'd be nice to have more of a Nintendo focus - Kazuya, for instance, feels a little... weird, and it'd be nice to consider alternatives from some series such as Final Fantasy and such (Kefka springs to mind, but Sephiroth would still be really cool!)

I do think it'd be nice to put some of Ultimate's other assets to work in this case, though - we do, after all, have fully-rigged and partially animated models of characters like Marx, Dracula and Ganon, and whilst they'd need to be scaled down a little, putting them to work in this title feels like it'd be a lot of fun to consider.

I'll say this much, though - I do think "debatable" villains should be allowed. Having too many villains with similar personalities or vibes could get old quick, and it'd be a lot of fun to see interactions between more and less evil people!

Job #02: Okay, so, the difficulty here was that we don't know for certain who is returning yet, which makes it a little problematic to determine interesting picks to go with here. However, I eventually landed on a pretty solid and obvious character to pull!

Character Name: Kamek
Character Origin: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Series Origin: Yoshi

Whilst there's a theoretical argument to say that Kamek is just another Magikoopa and thus irrelevant, I think he's an iconic enough villain in his own right to bring in here. One of Bowser's closest allies (and primary caretaker when he was young), Kamek's in an interesting situation where he's a great Yoshi series villain (which, interestingly, doesn't have a series villain of its own in Smash yet), but has appeared consistently in the Mario series too. Also, he's in the Super Mario Bros. Movie, so that can't be ignored.

In terms of moveset, I'd imagine his various magical abilities could be put to work - both in terms of outright attacks such as his magical blasts, ability to summon fire, or his ability to clone himself - or in terms of temporary buffs to himself, much like he does with various bosses in the Mario series. However, I'd also very much like to see his ability to summon enemies - the "summoner" is a very solid and common archetype in villains, and Kamek fitting into a "summoner-mage" archetype feels like it'd be a solid way to make him unique but fun amongst the roster. And hey, who doesn't love the colour blue?

Unfortunately these submissions aren’t eligible since Pokémon and Mario already do have villains in Smash, and this job is for series without playable villains, sorry for not making it clear in the title of the job.

I think all of them should return but Meta Knight, Dedede, Mewtwo and Dark Pit I feel should be held off for now, due to their shifting villain status.

Wario might also fit on here but I feel like his general nefariousness fits enough.

Job 2
M. Bison

M. Bison is the main villain for a good chunk of the Street Fighter series. M. Bison would play almost the exact same as he does in Street Fighter, a powerful bruiser with neutral control and his iconic moves.

Job 1: I'd cut it down for more diversity later on, personally just down to K.Rool, Ridley, Sepiroth, Dedede and Ganondorf.

Job 2: Dracula (Castlevania)
CoD_Dracula.jpg

Dracula is the main villain of the Castlevania series. Dating back to the NES, he has limitless moveset potential within his numerous appearances, using pyromancy and shapeshifting.

I'm alright with the majority of the veteran roster, but if I had to cut anyone, it'd be Dark Pit, (lamentably) Wario, and Meta Knight. They're moreso anti-heroes; You could argue the same for King Dedede, who I want on the roster, but the difference to me is that Dedede directly goes up against Kirby more often than MK does (even if you ignore all the times he's been possessed/brainwashed/etc.). Saul good if they stay, though.

Job 2: The Ghost Gang (Pac-Man)

I was gonna submit Eggman for this job, but seeing how he's probably gonna be submitted anyway, I decided to make my submission more outlandish. There's a lot of different avenues you could go down for a moveset, but I'd be thrilled just to have them in at all!

(I didn't notice Eggman was a lock-in, heh.)

I think all of them should be in except for:
  • Dedede (used to be a bad guy but is now good)
  • Meta Knight (Heroic, one time was when he tried to take over Dreamland)
  • Mewtwo (I don't know, since they were made by humans)
  • Dark Pit
Job 2
Villian Submit: Black Shadow (F-ZERO)
D3r4xghU4AA-lMM.png

A cold-blooded king of evil feared by all.

He is wanted by the Galactic Federation, yet he often shows up at the Extraterritorial F-Zero circuits as if they are his own.

However, Captain Falcon has seen much success capturing his foot soldiers, and Black Shadow wants nothing more than to see the end of this meddling bounty hunter, preferably in front of millions of fans.

It's inevitable that in any race he enters, there will be some kind of huge accident.

I imagine that his moveset being like a mix between Ganondorf's and Captain Falcon's from Smash except relying on strength and power.
(One of his moves could be some kind of bull charge thing and using dark powers)

I think all villains should return. Ones that are sort of on the grey line when it comes to moral allignment should be allowed as long as they're well known for being a villain/rival. Dedede and Meta Knight are still iconic villains even though they can be all over the place.

Side note, wouldn't Kazuya count as a villain? If so, I think he should return as well.

JOB 2: Mr X. (Resident Evil)

A big, hulking heavyweight who gives off the same constant fear factor that he does in the game - except not "he's gonna rip me apart!!!" but "he's gonna KO me at 40%!!!!" Wesker would also be cool, I just like this guy more as an RE outsider.

Job 1:All the villains, except Dark Pit,Mewtwo,Meta Knight and Wario (Mewtwo on the games is not considered a villain, and Meta Knight and Wario are anti-heroes,Dedede is also an anti-hero,but i consider he as a villain, while Dark Pit,i don't know)

Job 2:Big Boss (Metal Gear Solid)

Maxresdefault.jpg

Big Boss is the main villain from Metal Gear Solid games,he is a mercenary founded by US Army special forces unit Foxhound. I don't want to talk spoilers about Metal Gear games and i'm not an expert of the franchise.

Big Boss' moveset would be similar to Snake on Smash games,he's kinda Snake's echo fighter.

Job #2: Gruntilda
Debut: Banjo-Kazooie (June 29th, 1998)

That's right, a witch who is the main villain you see..
From a little game named Banjo-Kazooie!
She had to capture the cute Tooty.
And she tried to steal her beauty!
Then the duo came along and defeated her well.
And so she went out of her tower and she fell!
But then she returned back in the sequel of the game!
When she was now a skeleton, and she failed again for her shame.
But now this witch is gonna take on the fight in Villain's Smash, she might..
With her magic and skills, she'll sure brewing for a fight!

(Note: I was going to submit Marx from Kirby, but then noticed the criteria and had to replace him with this witch.)

I was expecting Nemesis, but X seems like a good choice.
(Maybe as the 2nd rep later on)

Dr. Willy
It'd be cool to see him face off with Eggman. Some may want a character like Bass but I think Willy would be very fun. He'd not be a very good fighter on his own, but his use of gadgets and machines could led to a crazy moveset.

I agree with everyone else. Honestly I wouldn't mind cutting Kazuya for Heihachi but I am also super fine with keeping him

As for returning villains, I feel that everyone should return except Wario, King Dedede, Dark Pit & Meta Knight.

Villain character submission:
Geese Howard (Fatal Fury)
Geese Howard is an antagonist of SNK's Fatal Fury video games and he debuted in "Fatal Fury: King of fighters", released in 1991.
He is a crime lord in South Town who is responsible for murder of Terry's and Andy's father.
He was killed by Terry in "Real bout Fatal fury" video game as Terry's revenge for killing Terry's father.

Geese Howard is considered as one of hardest bosses in fighting game history due to having overpowered moves and he is responsible for "SNK boss" trope in video game history.

His smash moveset would consist moves from KoF/Fatal Fury games.
He would have also input moves since he is a "fighting game" character.

He would be heavyweight grappler fighter with no additional movement options.

Job #1: Returning Villain
Definitely Sephiroth, if for no other reason than to get three of the most iconic gaming villains in the same place (Bowser, Eggman, Sephiroth).

Job #2: New villain from veteran franchise
View attachment 369881
Raven Beak (Metroid Dread)
Raven Beak isn’t eligible since Metroid already has a villain on the roster

Okay so it looks like from all the results that the characters people are debating adding are Dedede, Meta Knight, Wario, Mewtwo and Dark Pit. So, for now those characters will be cut. Eventually we can add them into the game if people decide but at the start they won’t come back yet.

So here are the options for Job 2:
KneeOfJustice99 KneeOfJustice99 Kamek
cashregister9 cashregister9 M. Bison
@MarioRayFalcon Dracula
FazDude FazDude Ghost Gang
Mamboo07 Mamboo07 Black Shadow
Janx_uwu Janx_uwu Mr. X
DragonRobotKing26 DragonRobotKing26 Big Boss
Owen23 Owen23 Gruntilda
nirvanafan nirvanafan DJ Octavio
Northsouthmap Northsouthmap Porky
@DarkVortex Dr. Wily
Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds Geese Howard

Since we have a lot of results I’m going to add the two characters who receive the most votes. So please vote for your top four most wanted characters of that list. Your own submission can’t be in first.
My votes:
1. M Bison
2. DJ Octavio
3. Geese
4. Dracula
I think these are great submissions all around, I hope many of these characters get added eventually once this is done.

Job #3: How Should We Deal With Items?
How should items be handled in this game? Should we port over all the items from Ultimate? Cut or add some items? Have a new list dedicated just to villain related items? Have no items? Discuss what you think now.

Job #4: How Many Characters Should We Have?
How many characters do you think we should include in the base game? This does not include echo fighters. 82 will be the limit of characters and keep in mind that we have 10 characters already in the game.

Items
I think we can port over quite a handful of items from Smash - The Mario power-ups come to mind, since Bowser has used them in the Mario series. However, I'd like to avoid entirely "hero"-themed items like the Star Rod.

Roster Size
I'd like to pitch a roster of 42 characters - Since we're strictly working with villains here, that should be more than enough room to rep a lot of different franchises.

Job 4: 80 Characters

We would need more reps for franchises if we want to do it.
(For example, Mario having Bowser, Bowser Jr, another villain from said series)

Firstly, votes!

1. Ghost Gang.
2. M. Bison.
3. Dracula.
4. Doctor Wahwee.

Job #03:
Honestly, I'm in the same boat as Fazdude here - more villain-related items would be neat, and removing specifically hero-adjescent items makes sense.

Job #04: I'm going to low-ball here and suggest 32. A lower number lets us focus our representation whilst still pulling from a wide variety of unique sources, if we wanted to go that way. Besides, if this is a smaller-scale product, having massive amounts of characters might be a little illogical.

Sorry to be a bother, by the way, but - Kamek is typically considered a Yoshi series villain, and the Yoshi series doesn't have a villain in the Smash series as of yet. To clarify - is it the case that he's not elegible for voting due to having appeared in the Mario series? It's all good if that's the case, I'm just a little confused since I altered the submission to make it a bit clearer that he's a Yoshi series villain. Sorry for nitpicking!

That is a good point, yeah I suppose Kamek can be counted as a Yoshi villain then. If people want to edit their submissions to account for Kamek you all can do that and I’ll add him to the list of submissions.

Don't have an opinion on roster size other than I don't think we should go too big for this. As for items i think we could bring back most things but it would be cool to focus on more villain centric items. I was thinking it would be cool if our AT \ Pokeball analog was the minons of these villains .

Might be cool to also bring back the feature in melee where adventure mode enemies can spawn from any container in VS mode. Imagine throwing a party ball downwards only for 10 zingers to spawn in your face.

Alright here are the results of the villains voting:
Kamek 0
M. Bison 37
Dracula 16
Ghost Gang 25
Black Shadow 0
Mr. X 0
Big Boss 1
Gruntilda 4
DJ Octavio 14
Porky 3
Dr. Wily 14
Geese 5

So M. Bison and ghost gang will be added!

So the general consensus seems to be that we‘ll add items but not have ones related to heroes. Items will be handled later but now we’ll vote on roster size. Here are our options for the roster size:
32
42
45
55
60
64
80
So just vote for your two most wanted options here. You can vote for your own submission in this particular job.

My votes:
1. 45
2. 42

Job #5: Submit A Lair For Bowser And/Or Eggman
To fit with the villain theme stages will be called lairs! They don’t actually have to be villain’s lairs, that will just be a name here. Anyways we’ll decide the number of lairs and which ones will return from Ultimate but for now we need some for our characters added by default! Please submit a stage from Mario and Sonic that are at least somewhat partially connected to Bowser or Eggman. Since Bowser’s Castle will probably be what people submit it’s fine if you submit multiple versions of it if there’s some of differences between them. Please submit a location, the layout, and any other details.

For Eggman, I submit Final Fortress (Sonic Heroes).

Finalfortress.PNG.png

The villains fight on the deck of the ship, with high-speed rails, the Egg Emperor and the ship's numerous cannons acting as stage gimmicks.

Job #5: Eggman’s Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park™ (Sonic Colors)
B7E7C82F-B37B-4972-BFD1-05EAF2D26E15.jpeg
This is an amusement park that Eggman creates using the power of aliens called Wisps. The primary layout is a central platform, but in the background, you travel through different areas of the park like Tropical Resort, Sweet Mountain, Starlight Carnival, Planet Wisp, Aquarium Park and Asteroid Coaster.
Wisps, which appear in the center of the stage, can be activated by pressing B instead of your neutral special, but they only work when you stay on the stage.
  • Tropical Resort has the Cyan Laser, which has the user travel in a zigzag line
  • Sweet Mountain has the Yellow Drill, which has the user drill underground to trip opponents. After a couple seconds, the Drill pops out of the ground and fires up like a rocket.
  • Starlight Carnival has the Blue Cube, which turns the user into a giant cube that causes a shockwave upon impact. It can also bury opponents on the ground and meteor smash in the air.
  • Planet Wisp has the Pink Spikes, which turns the user into a spiky ball and sticks them the surface
  • Aquarium Park has the Purple Frenzy, which turns the user into a violent beast that can only be controlled by moving the control stick left or right
  • Asteroid Coaster has the Violet Void, which turns the user into a black hole that sucks up everything in its path; opponents above 100% are instantly K.O.’d
