Would people be fine with me adding "LEGO Fighters" as this game's equivalent to Mii Fighters (I think I mentioned this idea either earlier in the thread or on a status somewhere), or should I wait to have a vote on that/if we get a more dedicated LEGO character on the roster? A job like this wouldn't be for a bit, but does anybody have any other ideas for a Mii Fighters equivalent? I would assume if this game were real, it'd be a multi-platform release, despite, improbably, the presence of Mario already being there.

LEGO Fighters I feel works the best, as they are the closest equivalent unless we add Miis themselves.

I feel if you wanted to add an equivalent to Miis, LEGO people work best. I had an idea for a LEGO character for a future round but it’s fine if you want to make the LEGO people the Mii fighters. I feel that’s the best way to go about it.

I (personally, at least,) think LEGO Fighters would be genius. They'd have so much potential for customisation - and you could put in so, so many weird and wonderful combinations. I think that even if you limited yourself to purely first-party LEGO stuff, having access to literally all of the non-licensed Minifig blind bag series, as well as IPs like LEGO City, Ninjago and even some classic themes like Space and Castle. It'd be amazing to see them here!

Not to mention LEGO's branded stuff. You can easily make outfits out of those too.

I'll say LEGO Fighters are the Mii Fighter equivalent for now, and we'll have later jobs for submitting themed packs for them, similar to the Fourth Party Fighter's Pass's thread's Mii Fighters submission jobs. I think there will be three general types, Brawler, Swordfighter, and Blaster, which could include both gun and magic oriented characters, unless people have ideas for changing that further. For now, though, I'll add a general "LEGO Fighter" onto the overall fighters list, though it'll be counted somewhat differently than the other fighters, given it's a customizable slot.

Also, on the note of the job (which I believe is submitting a criteria, and I hope is still open!) I'll suggest "Submit a character originating from before 1930." As is to be expected with "Pop Culture Clash," of course there'd be bias toward more modern characters - but with only Dracula, Santa Claus and Mickey Mouse currently fulfilling this criteria, I think it's one you could go wild with. After all - a lot of characters from that era or before are still very relevant today... or you could go with some wackier picks!

Here are the votes for this job!
Pre-1930's: 18
Toys: 18
Horror: 14
Adult Cartoon or Movie: 3
Internet: 8
Alien: 11
Cartoon from the last 30 years: 4
Resubmission: 4
Children's Show: 2
YouTuber: 2
Inanimate Object: 3

Given I have a tie for first place, I think what I'll do is KneeOfJustice99 KneeOfJustice99 's pre-1930's one first, then AlteredBeast AlteredBeast 's toys second, Oddball Oddball 's HORROR third, and then @Darkonedagger 's Alien as the next post-marathon Character Job. Also, because I blundered and missed it this time around, the next one after that will be HyperSomari64 HyperSomari64 's Parody/Satire idea from this submission list. Sorry about it this time. :S That all said...

Job #52: Submit a character who debuted before the 1930's!
Anything from 1929 or earlier goes for this. I may just resubmit Jean Valjean for this one, since he very much counts [book came out in 1862].
I’ll submit Jean Valjean from Les Misérables.
View attachment 346579
Les Misérables is a famous novel written by Victor Hugo, later adapted to a stage musical (as well as a few other adaptations in other media), which takes place in France from 1915 to 1932, also the year when the “June Rebellion” took place. There are a good few characters with their own subplots, but Jean Valjean is the main character, pretty much. He is a paroled criminal trying to lead a normal life, but is consistently pursued by Inspector Javert.

Why am I placing basically a human from the 1800’s with no supernatural qualities into this? Well, for one, both the novel and the musical are incredibly successful and influential. Two, it is incredibly incongruous to have him be in a fighting game, but…there already is a Les Misérables fighting game. As you may or may not be aware, Arm Joe (a pun name based on the Japanese title of the book/play) exists, with various characters from the original work, including, of course, Jean himself, throwing down and pulling out Street Fighter-esque moves, as well as strange extrapolations of their characters. This really would fit into the modus operandi of this thread. We have a wide variety of iconic characters from various mediums to put into here, both fitting for a fighting game…and not. But that’s at least half the fun of it, I suppose.

I was gonna do Felix the Cat but due to us doing a cartoon character not too long ago and the most recent character being another fictional character… I have a new idea.

Job 52:

King Arthur (Fairy Tales)

AF5050C5-1DD2-40C0-9CD4-65532DB1C0B4.png

Clearly one of the most renowned figures in literature and British history. He’s influenced so many TV shows, movies like Monty Python and The Holy Grail, etc. Lots of references have been made to the Knights of The Round Table and what not. We don’t have British literature/history represented on the playable roster. I don’t think we have a traditional Swordfighter besides Darth Vader. So, King Arthur is the best choice.

Hmm... I have someone interesting in mind for this one.

Character Name: Sherlock Holmes.
First Appearance: A Study in Scarlet (1888.)
Fictional Medium: Books.

Rather than adapting Sherlock for the modern age, as media such as BBC's Sherlock or the Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock movies have done, I'd like to base this variation of Sherlock more closely on his Victorian incarnation - giving him equipment and such based on the era. I can imagine his playstyle being very similar to Phoenix Wright's, in a sense - using various pieces of evidence and the like to his advantage. In terms of outright weaponry, aside from the Wright route, Sherlock is also known to carry a pistol - as seen in books such as The Sign of Four and The Hound of the Baskervilles. Furthermore, it may be pertinent to include in some way Holmes's penchant as a master of disguise - disguising himself as all sorts of individuals, such as a seaman in The Sign of Four, and even an old woman in The Adventure of the Mazarin Stone, or perhaps to represent some of Conan Doyle's other works such as the Professor Challenger series.

Sherlock's role in not only British history, but the history of fictional literature, cannot be overstated. He's a deeply important character to the very concept of what a "detective" is seen as in fiction, collating ideas shown in previous works such as The Moonstone and The Murder in the Rue Morgue into one, to create a series of carefully crafted stories by a literary genius. I think that considering he represents not just Britain, but a cornerstone of fiction, his place here is more than earned.

Jack (Fairy Tales)
The one who climbed a beanstalk, the one who fell trying to get some water, the one who's nimble and quick, even the one responsible for winter and the one with the name of a famous Halloween tradition. They're all the same Jack. He would fight using his trusty axe and even some ice powers as Jack Frost. He'd have a trapper playstyle, in reference to his generally trickster personality.

Peter Pan

Peter Pan.jpg

Peter Pan was originally created in 1902 and has been delighting children ever since. As a fighter Peter Pan would rely on his unmatched swordsmanship and ability to fly. He may (or may not) also get help in battle from his own shadow or his constant companion Tinkerbelle.

Job 52:Little Red Riding Hood (Fairy Tales)

The Little Red Riding Hood was created on 1697 and it's the most famous and iconic fairy tales, everyone knows who is Little Red Riding Hood, a little girl with a basket that goes into a forest alone to visit her grandmother, then she meets the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf arrives at the her grandmother's house first, he eats the little red riding hood's grandmother and disguises himself of granny, little red riding hood enters the house, she finds it strange and doesn't know that it the wolf in desguise, the Wolf eats little red riding hood too,a woodcutter appears, the woodcutter kills the wolf and frees the little red riding hood and her grandmother inside the wolf's belly and that's it.

Little Red Riding Hood as a fighter would be similar to B.B. Hood from Darkstalkers, but Little Red Riding Hood on Pop Culture Clash fights using a double-barrel shotgun and a lumberjack axe and she can throw dynamite and pies are in the basket. Pop Culture Clash have Sailor Moon and why not more a female fighter?
