Out of all the confirmed newcomers, he and Isabelle were the only characters to rank within the top 10 most likely characters in the Rate Their Chance thread pre-E3.More than just a few people were still expecting him though, just because the demand for him was so overwhelming, the only surprising thing about his inclusion was the timing of it and how it didn't leak.
Damnit I can’t unsee that nowLiterally who?
Why does he have Papyrus chained to his but?
Aye, I'd not be opposed to that whatsoever.
Neku is so impossible, but I want to cling in the hope of Final Remix being a reason for Square to put him in
Damn, I like thatYou really want people on there toes?
Have Bahamut.
Finnaly someone with some senseLara Croft
We just don't speak about how Kratos (a guy who destroyed gods) could play on the same level as a rapping dog and an obese princess. The only thing I enjoyed about PS All Stars Battle Royale was seeing my boy Parrappa holding a bazooka. I’ve never laughed harder.
Thanks for that... Interesting image...Literally who?

Yeah SUPER frustrating because Nintendo thought no one liked K.Rool and said he wasn't "fresh enough" and they LAUGHED at the idea of crocodiles being enemies to DK again in Returns. Nintendo was trying to be "Tim the tool-man Taylor" and fix something that DIDN'T need fixing. My theory is that once PAON took control of the franchise in 2005 and cranked out "hits" like King of Swing, Jungle Climber, and Barrel Blast in 2007. They FAILED to meet sales expectations all selling pretty ****tily. They said to themselves "I wonder why these AMAZING 10/10 masterpieces didn't sell? I thought DK fans liked ****ty Mario Kart spin-offs and weird clu clu land peg swinging games? No it can't be the quality of the games it must be because of K.Rool and the Kremlings! Let's REMOVE them and start again!" 3 years later...enter Retro Studios to create a new DK game fans actually wanted but Nintendo was so dumb that they told Retro to create new enemies and the "damage" was already done. DKCR went onto sell 6 million copies so Nintendo must've thought they were right by removing K.Rool/Kremlings because CLEARLY they were cause of poor DK sales and not the fact that the PAON developed games were mediocre at best...enter 2013, Tropical Freeze is released with still no K.Rool and Kremlings to be found and instead we get Lord Fredrick who is a "King K. Nockoff"And all because of Nintendo! Because Nintendo wouldn't let Retro Studios use him for the new DKC games!!!!
Hopefully K. Rool's popularity and appearing after a decade gives them second thoughts making him and the Kremlings the final baddies in an supposed final trilogy to the new DKC games.
Ok, I really want Neku now.WE NEED A 46TH TWISTER REMIX RIGHT NOW.
Even if that pic is fake, I honestly would be surprised if Ken didn't make it as an echo of Ryu. He's the most obvious choice for that treatment.Pretty sure the leak was debunked, Pichu’s ear is clipping.

At this point I feel K. No it will be 50th, oh wait I mean 52th-- 5- the number is ever growing and the demand is infiniteNeku Sakuraba just for the music.
WE NEED A 46TH TWISTER REMIX RIGHT NOW.
The wait did some things to us....
You alright buddy?
Even in fanart Luigi has to be **** on...Gotta get into that Smash spirit.

OGs rule! Smash had such humble beginnings. The wacky and cartoonish nature, the comic book style. The somewhat darker tones of the game with the eerie music after Master Hand’s defeat. Just an all around fun game with my favorite version of FD and BF. Heck, this game even had Meta Crystal, with its sick music to go with it.
Can never stress enough how grateful I am for 64 giving me Ness, Falcon, and Puff. Timing couldn’t have been more perfect. With almost 20 years now, these three are considered Smash staples at this point. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Now coming into Ultimate, I’m excited as ever to play them once again. Here’s to hoping they stick around for as long as the series goes on
Wasn't there something heard about this actually happening after they realised his popularity? At this point I feel K. Rool being in Ultimate is foreshadowing his return to the DK series.
The godlike remix of Gangplank Galleon made all the wait worth it, if you ask me.The wait did some things to us.
If that's the case, that makes it all the better then that it might be true.Wasn't there something heard about this actually happening after they realised his popularity?
So you’re telling me that the entire DLC roster was datamined, but the reason why the rest weren’t leaked is because you guys wanted to keep it a surprise? Those are some of the few most considerate people in the community.Actually, what's interesting about the datamines is we did actually have information on all the DLC characters to begin with. Or most of them. I think it was just Roy and Ryu, but not Lucas. We actually had a proper datamine that indicated files for Cloud, Bayonetta, and Corrin to begin with. The people who datamined it didn't release the information to keep it a surprise(especially due to the previous one ruining a lot of it for the first trio of DLC fighters). They released the data later.
Sakurai had the data added early on in both cases. I hope he uses more placeholder files in the future. Of course, it still tells us stuff, but at least not who, which helps... a bit.
Also, the TWEWY thing? Cool Smash reference, but beyond that, I wouldn't expect Nekuu in Smash either way. Geno easily has a one-up on him, though he's the only actual SE-owned character that is easy to get. Sora is Disney, and Slime would still take more than one company to get(possibly less companies than the various DQ Heroes, but that depends who designed all the various monsters and such).
I feel ya man. It’s just how it is. Fan art and official Nintendo products (August Direct) has my dude in green taking the LEven in fanart Luigi has to be **** on...
It's his lot in life.Even in fanart Luigi has to be **** on...
Why doesn't it make sense lolSkull Kid is not a boss because it doesn't make sense.
Yes I'm fine just wanted to drop a history lesson on all you young whippersnappers!...
You alright buddy?
Actually an even more odd choice in that pic was depicting Kirby in mid-stone transformation in the background. Even my boi takes up more space...It's his lot in life.
The eternal understudy, stuck in his Brother's shadow.
Forever and always, Player Two.
He could be a boss if it's like Metal Mario or a Melee-type adventure mode, but I just think it doesn't make sense because you didn't fight him in Majora's Mask. Why doesn't it make sense lol
Not to mention he could be both, anyone could be both, and boss battles can be similar to normal smash fights
Regarding Waddle Dee - I believe the Chef from Kirby is meant to be Isabelle's replacement. My Predictions.
Skull Kid - Reoccurring boss type encounter in Spirits slowly becomes Majora's Wraith and Incarnation. Or if we still havent seen Young Link's final Smash, maybe it incorporates Skull Kid in some way.. Ala Diety vs Majora.
Shadow - Either an assist trophy or a sub boss that you'd have some sort of event match against in Spirits Mode. Probably a race to the finish or a race of some sort.
Isaac - Was removed after Brawl, I think he's forgotten about entirely. Maybe we'll get a DLC pack for missing AT's and he'll be apart of it.
Waddle Dee - I'm thinking assist trophy that throws food to replace Isabelle. Or a trash mob in Spirits Mode.
Black Knight - Questionable about ever appearing on Castleseige. If it was him, probably a Spirits boss fight.
Dixie Kong - Diddy probably still has alt colors based on her, we just havent seen it yet.
He’s player one in my heart. Not to mention, he’s apart of the secret four club. He, Ness, Jiggs, and the good Captain all get to do the cool things that the OG 8 can’t be as as OG unlockables, they’re not required to be around to fight yet. They can just chill. It's his lot in life.

I want to like this post for the first part, but I can't because of the second. Tough choices...Regarding Waddle Dee - I believe the Chef from Kirby is meant to be Isabelle's replacement.
I think it's very likely at this point Waddle Dee just doesn't appear, hopefully joining as a dlc fighter due to his popularity in Japan.
It doesn't make sense a character that progressively morphs into the final boss of majora's mask for N64 could be used as a boss in Smash?Predictions:
Skull Kid is not a boss because it doesn't make sense, and if he's a boss you'd think he could also be part of the Moon assist.
Kencineroar are playable.
Geno is either in base or is the first DLC character, maybe with another SE character alongside him or that one is in base.
Minecraft.
