Simplest, cheapest way to win at Brawl

Here's the scenario: I'm a melee player, whose college has recently started hosting brawl tournaments. I don't have a wii or any interest in playing brawl, but I certainly want to win $25 every fortnight.
It's entered exclusively by causal players and I reckon with a few well applied advanced strats I could probably walk this

So what's the quickest way for someone with no brawl experience and no way to practice to beat a ton of casual players? Help we win $$$ guys, do it for brawl-melee brotherhood!

In before "pick metaknight and press B"...

Pick Charizard/Ivysaur and press B, casuals don't know how to DI.

Seriously though, you're probably best, coming from Melee, to try Fox. Otherwise, Metaknight it up.

An alternative is picking Ike and forward-smashing the heck out of everybody. Or even simpler, just press A. :D

Pick pit and spam arrows. if someone approaches, use your forwardbtilt.

if someone is also spamming projectiles, use your downbtilt.

Bedridden.
Pick Ivysaur and use Bullet Seed. Casuals don't know how to DI. 40%+ , fatigue won't make a difference. Hell, you can probably even up smash them. And since they can't DI, you can 0 death by holding B then pushing up the C stick?

it's possible. casuals don't know how to air-dodge either.

I knew all of those things long before taking Smash seriously.

Make sure you have an okay Sonic as well, in case they have circle camp stages legal.

And 'Dorf, who's much less crappy when your opponent jumps into the **** (and he supposedly has 0-deaths if items are on).

Pick Captain Falcon and spam his Knee of Justice and Falcon Punch, the opponents will be too mesmerized to counter you, or just use Kirby and Kirbycide, most n00bs will walk right into it.

You pick King DDD, and use his UpB while saying "OBESITY STOMP"
Laughter and KOs will promptly ensue, ensuring victory.

Pick Ganondorf. Seriously, what are casuals going to do against someone who played Melee?

*EDIT* Wait, items are on? Flame Choke -> Beam Sword Jablock.

Ganon is so amazing with items on. Seriously, learn the Green Shell levitation trick, and go under the stage for no reason.

Wait for a smash ball to come up and start hitting your opponent as they foolishly disregard you just to get the smash ball.

If they really are bad, then you should not need to ask for advice!!

Anyway, I would suggest using Snake's forward tilt!

many others have said it...and its sad but true..

metaknight

mash b button, mash down on c-stick, and every time you knock your oppenent offstage, chase after em with his down aerial, and forward aerial.

gratz, you've just became a "pro" metaknight.

if you're playing against nothing but casuals, you will absolutly slaughter em doing strictly this.

Guys, stop telling him to play Meta Knight. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to be bored while playing.

that is metaknight.

if you want to win money all the time with brawl, go meta.

Ask your opponents who they think is the worst character in the game.

Then beat them with it. If you lost, go MK.

This is the most fun thing to do when playing casuals. It's nothing but an ego trip, but its still funny. Especially when you 3 stock them.

That'd be kind of difficult because he'd be bored playing with any character.

Pick snake and ftilt them. Utilt when they're high %.

MK you have to press B a whole lot more than you'd press A with Snake. How inconvenient.

If an opponent doesn't know how to air dodge, you can use Zelda and Din Fire them from like 40% to death. It's happened before...
