Last time i brought a set -up to this they said my TV was too small (which is the first and only time that's happened to me)

People said mine caused lag because it had a flat screen, even though the TV was SD, not HD, and nobody has ever complained about lag on it before (there is none.)

Meanwhile, people were playing on a wide screen HD set nearby...>_>

I'm bringing at least one setup, depends on who else in the car does.

*edit* Auspher, if your setup was the one in the other room in the corner last SiiS with the japanese ****, it DID lag, but it was incredibly slight and I rarely noticed it, and even when I did notice it, it wasn't exactly dire.

The one in the corner was the one I mentioned that looked like it had lag. Mine was on the table in the middle.

Alright guys, tournament's only two days away so this is important. Going to be going through the thread and making an accurate attendance and setup list in a bit. If someone is going that hasn't been stated, please state so. Same goes for people not going. If someone has said that they are going, and you know that they aren't, please post in the thread. Setups as well.

The second thing is that Day has put me personally in charge of making sure pools run efficiently. We are going to be doing Sixteen pools with about six or seven people in each pool. Top three will make it out, leading to a forty-eight man bracket. For those of you that don't like forty-eight man brackets when compared to thirty-two or sixty-four, I'm sorry. Singles is going to be starting promptly at 3:30. If you haven't paid for singles by then, you're out of luck. 3:00 to 3:30 will be used as time to set up the pools.

Alright, to make sure the tournament runs on time, we're going to be putting pool captains into place. If you would like to help make sure pools run smooth, let me know. I'll be doing my best to find you at the venue. You'll be watching over pools (mostly your own and others near you) and making sure that a match is always being played, players aren't doing too many sets in a row, players don't disappear and not play any matches, etc. I have a few people already that I know I can rely on for this, but I'd like to have a good team set for it. Pools are the time of the tournament that take the most time in most situations, so it's very important that as few problems as possible happen.

Oh yeah, TKO. The Commentary table isn't going to be anywhere near the TO table, it gets too crowded. Make sure this happens.

We need EFFICIENT pool captains. Last time we didn't have those.

If you guys are going to arrive any later, contact someone to register for you: but do not contact me about registering you guys! This is your responsibility, not mine. I will be too busy working on other things and registering people who ARE on time than those who aren't! However, if you have friends that will come, wait in line, and register for you that's fine.
My phone should only be if you need any help or directions.
We need to be strict on time, so please just leave a little early. If you are notorious for being late, leave 30 minutes earlier than usual. Plan ahead!

can't you just make all the first seeds pool captains with a few (glaring) exceptions?

oh also hilt just an idea, at some bigger tourneys TOs make the first seeds play all their matches first--this is to prevent them from giving out games later and unfairly dropping games to players. just an idea!

Considering I'll probably be Helper T.O.ing at this I'll be a pool captain if needed. Somehow I doubt all the first seeds will agree to having to babysit.

uhh lemme do some double checking with our current passengers and I'll get back to you. A couple of the people in the van are quite a bit less than confirmed, so I'll find out if they're going (with us) or not and I'll let you know.
