i think i might have found something interesting...

im not sure just yet but i think if you Z-air pits arrows it lengthens the Z-air...

i dont mean time length, i mean length of the beam it self.

I was thinking with the Samus DACUS, if it works like falcos (where the dash attack connects and then the usmash looks buffered into it for a second attack) then it would make her dash attack a lot safer and could surprise opponents.

Does her DACUS work like falcos or like Jigglypuffs/snakes/shiek where the dash attack is completely cancelled?

I've seen a lot of people recover from the ledge by attacking with fairs and zairs but it seems like whenever I try it I fall to far to jump up into either attack. So I was wondering if there is any specific technique that makes it easier to do this. If you guys don't know what im talking about here's a video of Xyro doing it against ozz at 1:36 (as well as other times during the vid) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r4vElwj5dk

Are you using tap up on the analogue stick to jump? If so, you should use the X/Y buttons to jump immediately after pressing down to release from the edge. To z-air you should move into the edge otherwise you'll tether it instead.

Lol @ Xyro, you can indeed DACUS with Samus. Every character in fact can DACUS, but you probably notice nothing happens for most. That is because their dash attacks are too slow for you to get any momentum to carry through to your usmash, although sometimes it actually makes characters stand still instead.

That's what I'm saying. Sometimes I can be punished by a shielded dash attack. if Samus's DACUS works like Falcos' DACUS then I can stop that punishment. Does anyone know if her DACUS works like that?

Samus cannot do that. Can do a running upsmash but she cannot cannot cancel her dash attack into a upsmash

if samus had a dacus like link, sheik, or snake than i think we should be looking into it but since thats not the case we should focus somewhere ells

She has one but Im saying it is useless. All characters can DACUS, but it carries momentum of their startup dash, so since Samus slows down before she starts her dash attack, it would be considered one of the useless DACUS. If you guys dont believe me then try it. You dont notice much on Samus, but use Captain Falcon. Normally his hyphen smash carries him far. Use DACUS, and Falcon goes nowhere. Using DACUS with him makes him do his usmash in place, which I dont know if it has uses, but it can be done.

Also, try Bowser. His momentum carries the same as Samus, so it is better to hyphen smash with him too. But you can tell that he does indeed cancel his dash attack when doing DACUS because his voice overlaps itself if you perform it right.

I'm saying that even though she has one, it's very unpractical because it doesn't work like the better ones.

I wouldn't ponder how she would change if her moveset. She would be different, that's all.

Although, if anyone had Snake's u-tilt, they would immediately change to top tier, if not S tier. Disjointed bull****.

I have a question. Why is No-Idea the kind of guy who has no sense of humor. I show him funny vids all the time and he IMs me back and says he hates me.

Yes, I am going around and compiling info on every character for stages. It does not really matter how they fair in the match up. I am mainly curious how they are over all. For my stage thread I am only posting how the characters perform on that stage instead of how they fair against DK.

Each person has there preferences on where to counter pick, so I am just compiling a list of the characters and how well they do on they stage in general. I leave the decision to the person playing.

:/ Just wonderin... It takes some effort to go round each character board and ask the same question. I guess it's one of the general stage discussions - the ones with +/- in general as opposed to specific MU.

Well, if that the case, for Snake I say good in general. I still need to learn moar with samus on this stage though. Utilt through platforms, and usmash? I wait for usmash to appear on move discussion thread so I can learn more.

It does take some time to do this, but it will take even longer especially since I plan to do it for every tourney legal stage. This info is being posted on the DK boards, the character stuff is general so anybody cold look at it and pull info from it, but all of the other info is geared towards DK.

I don't understand what people are seeing.... Samus's so called "Black" suit is Brown according to my eyes... then again they are pretty bad D:.

But yeah I use Brown if we're not including textures. If textures are included, I use Ice Samus.
