So I've been messing around with Sheik lately and get thrown off by Pokemon Stadium's platforms. They are like exactly the height of Sheik's short-hop so there'll be times where I try to sh aerial and end up doing something derpy like f-smash on the platform. How do you guys play around these platforms?

The same thing happens on YS. They're so annoying even after I know that tip that KK gave you.

But like KK said, I usually try to be grounded. The upside to this is that your uptilt gets a bonus that it can poke from under the platforms.

Why Peach + Sheik?
Because Sheik sucks vs shields in teams but is great at everything else. Including killing and catching people jumping around because gigantic limbs plus speed. Peach is good at everything in teams except catching people jumping around because not so big limbs and low speed. She's especially good at racking stupid damage, which feeds into Sheik's kill power, and she's really good about punching through shields (which Sheik struggles with).

They just compliment each other well.

Maybe Fox and Puff are better partners? I dunno. I just like Peach & Sheik a lot.

its soooooo easyyyyyyyy

but i'm soooo badddd :,(

real talk-- does anyone have tips for CGing links DI away on dthrow at below 30%? is there a visual cue to look for or something? i'm starting ot think its be b etter to just ftilt and hope you can get something afterwards.
You want visual cues? Well, when I started learning the CG for the ditto at 0% (which is harder than Link's CG), I looked for the "flash" that white Sheik produces because her body contorts so her entire costume is black (or mostly black) for a second then the white reappears. You could also look for how he's positioned in relation to you after she slams her leg on top of him and he first pops out of the throw - you don't really need to verify that it's complete, horizontal away DI at 0% because they just need to be in front of you (at all) at those low percents. If you dash grab while they neutral or slight DI away, you will still grab them.

I believe you can ftilt into a dash grab or dash attack if you predict their DI.
If they don't DI and go straight up, nair or fair him, and get a follow up attack when they hit the ground.
If they DI to the right or left, ftilt again if possible and repeat.

Basically just don't let him hit the ground, and stay on him heavily when you hit him.
If you're not CGing, your options vs Link are basically the same as the ones in the Sheik ditto. Against complete away DI, you let them hit the floor and tech chase with whatever, you f-tilt and see if you can catch a jump or a bad DI and do more stuff, or you jab for basically the same reason you'd f-tilt but sometimes the different timing will catch them off-guard and you'll get something. That's really about it. I honestly think the tech chase is the strongest option, but a lot of people don't like doing it because it's basically ghetto-CGing. If their DI sucks, f-tilt is amazing. If they have bad DJ habits, jab and f-tilt **** because you can just wait for it when they try to break out of the combo and then space fair > regrab / f-tilt > more stuff and it *****. You can also bair instead of fair if you want an easier timing (although it can be harder to follow sometimes because it's laggier).

That depends on how u space the f tilt

:phone:
Depends more on the Link's DI out of the d-throw than anything else. If you can hit with her thigh then yeah, it's definitely plausible to regrab the Link (although further factors can complicate this). But if you're hitting with her thigh, you could have also probably done u-tilt or regrab fairly easily too. Both of which... probably lead to the same stuff you're trying to do anyway (or better - you guys seriously don't know about how gay u-tilt can be).

That was incredibly helpful, thank you.

ironic that the one sheik you would actually need to cg won't even let you pick your color :awesome:

Nope.

I'm inferring that you could beat any other sheik without cging, even if they were attempting to cg.

I'm not out to get you man.

I was pretty sure he was the only one who could do it from zero before today btw, people really underestimate how hard it is.

Wow I feel like a jerk. That's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. Not sure it's fully accurate, but it's a really sweet sentiment.

But why is it broken?
they deal a lot of Damage. Both get opponents offstage quickly. Sheik's edguedarding is great on top of that. D-smash from peach is dumb in 4 players, plus she is very resistant to 4 player chaos (she won't get ***** in the fray too often). Both chars have ridiculous priority and rack up damage fast. They both have resistance to being combo'd. They don't really need to grab much in doubles, but if sheik wants to, it compliments peach's moves anyway. Peach's recovery is great too, which helps her run away if she gets in a 2v1 position (and save her teammate easily).

I could go on about peach being an easy character and all, and how she doesn't need to do certain things that most characters have to. But maybe another time

Peach + Sheik is a very easy, good team, but its not broken by any means. I definitely feel that me+pp could have won if we actually played some friendlies beforehand (pp and me barely played anyone, sick johns etc) and if PP had some more Peach+PAL exp in teams:

Peach/Sheik does get ***** hard time by Puff teams and most other Floatie+floatie teams

I actually don't disagree with the bolded. Saying that she's easy is rather unfair, though (most characters are "easy" if we're talking technical barriers, anyways).

You were, yes. And then it began to shift elsewhere. Don't really want that here. It's unproductive and never leads anywhere good >_>

And yeah, my bad. You didn't say Fox was hard.
