Dont shield close to her, dont go to FD. Its hard to tell u whats wrong without seeing whats wrong. Id say sheik is one of the most important MUs u have to do a kookster approach like s2j said a while ago. You cant just like straight up play cause she beats ur everything.
I dont think properly spaced nairs get grabbed.

well the only kind of nair that doesnt get grabbed is the kind that is nowhere near sheik i.e. half way across the stage from her
nairing even outside her tilt range gets me grabbed pretty much everytime
probably i just need to mixup and not be so predictable, like not always charge in and just be more patient

yo FD is a GREAT STAGE vs sheik!! Why do you guys say FD is bad for falcon vs sheik? imo. if possible...go to FD to cp sheik (good sheiks will generally ban FD unless they got like some other char to transition into that turns FD for falcon into a bad situation...ie. pikachu's 0 to death chain grab on falcon on FD). Yes, we've already had this discussion about vs sheik on FD in the stage discussion thread.

ryankam, come to the next a and c in toronto, it's nov 12th.

Try using bairs more vs sheik early on to get some percents on her...dash dance a lot and don't get intimidated by needles.

always be aware of her ftilting abilities. sheik has no good approach vs falcon either.

you're looking for that one key mistake be it some spacing error or whiffed attack by sheik that lets you capitalize and combo the crap out of sheik and easily edge guard her.

see hax vs tope/m2k/amsah

follow closely and see all the little neutral game things he does vs sheik.

I hate sheik on FD in the most recent discussion i was the only one, then i went to the sheik boards and asked what they thought and everyone was either fine with the MU on FD or really liked it.

Personally I hate playing as Sheik on FD because I feel like her mobility just sucks there but I play really platform heavy with all my characters. I've just been starting to hate FD in general. But I wouldn't mind taking Sheik there because I feel confident about getting around needles and baiting moves form her. I'd just rather take her to DL or PS before FD.

Shiek is really good on FD. Too many easy combos. The only thing that helps is that at high percents it's not like she's going to put you on a platform and finish you. CF uses platforms so much better IMO. Better waveland, better punishes on the platforms...in a purely ground game situation shiek destroys CF. I would never go to FD against her--ever.

When you are fighting sheik, the more room you have the better. FD and PS are best for fighting her imo, sometime DL. Smaller stages make it easier for her to combo and punish you, especial ones with low platforms.

On the topic of sheik though, I feel on stages like FD you will just get harassed by needles alot
Maybe I'm not doing my nairs close enough to threaten her space, and make her scared/unsafe to needle, but conversely I am scared to nair anywhere near her for fear of getting grabbed >_<

luckily the sheik i play doesnt needle me that much but when he starts doing that im gunna be even more ****ed lol

Try out FD more against sheik. it's such a huge stage. run around sheik like a douchebag on roller skates.

In most cases however, you'lll never get to go to FD cuz they ban it. you'll have to settle with Pokemon stadium which is also an amazing stage for falcon vs sheik.

Needles are like much worse lasers. don't let that intimidate you.

EDIT: this is already discussed in the stage discussion thread for falcon matchups but the main reason sheik hates FD in the falcon matchup is because there are no platforms for her to recover to. it's so damn easy to edge guard sheik on FD.

out of region experience is pretty underrated when people put together rankings/lists of people they want to see. can't assume someone is going to perform up to a standard in a big tourney if they don't travel much

I feel like if one person is DDing then the other player let that person have that much room to move/lost ground and is cornered/is scared in shield/just isn't applying pressure properly. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, I'm saying that when it happens either something bad has happened or scared/bad play is taking place. So after that bad thing happened DD is like saying "I'm now trying to bait you into worse play."

If one or both people are just DDing all the way on the other side of the stage not even in any kind of threat zone then nothing is being accomplished so I'm not counting that. Not counting waiting for someone to tech either.

I'm probably wrong but right now I feel like getting to dash dance is indicating that you have scared the opponent.
