So...I found out I have a problem o_O

It's so simple too...when I do bairs, I almost never can do bair -> really quick fullhop knee in the bair's direction. In order to do this, do you have to do a high/low bair? Or is the timing just really weird after L-cancelling the bair? I'm so confused xP It definitely shouldn't be this hard lmao

EDIT: fullhop knee was just an example. Usually, it means I can't really do anything after bair really quickly like normal people can accomplish xD

I used to have problems doing rising Bair because the hitlag screwed up my fastfall, just remember to press down a little slower than normal

wenbobular, winston. thank you!

this weekend, i didn't lose to a luigi that i would've lost to if it weren't for your advices. I punished the lagging down b, the laggy non charged side b recovery, didn't fall into those luigi traps you guys talked about...

for some reason that stuff stuck in my head despite rarely playing luigis.

some canadian luigi player, you've probably never heard of him. but he beat the other two falcons in the pool.

it wasn't a huge accomplishment i suppose but i definitely would've lost if i didn't know the matchup.

btw are you going to the big house??? i'm not sure where UMCP is or know anything at all about american geography, but i'm sensing that it's near michigan....

Nice, luigi is an awkward MU because he can **** luigi, but if you get caught luigi can do it to you. Only it hurts more (or can if they know what they're doing)

If it was a hole in your game and you overcame it. I'd count that as a big accomplishment.

Btw, i would like to either MM or just play any of you falcon's going to The Big House, MI. I really just want to meet most of you and play some different styles/learn new tricks.

I'll obviously be at The Big House, but won't have much time to do friendlies/MMs sadly. I'll settle for getting my *** kicked by Johnny on Friday night.

Guys, when is captain nand0's ban going to be lifted? He gave good tips and suggestions in the past that I found really useful. Let's just forget the past and let nand0 back...

to whoever banned him (i think it was scar lol)

Ok, on an unrelated note. Does anyone know if Zhu ever did his write up on falco vs falcon?

I remember there was some msn conversation or something where he says the key thing he was looking for is intercepting falcon as falcon lands from full jumps (which he said is what most falcons do to get around lasers)

It'd be great if someone could link me to that write up that zhu said he did (or did he do it yet?)

Hey guys, is there a thread or subthread that's specifically on comboing?

I'm really curious about everyone's mindset when going for those long combos...what's going through your head?

Do you get this gambling addiction feeling kinda like "i probably should cash out now but I wanna keep going"? (where cashing out is ending with a knee)

I think this question is more of a general thing, not character specific, but I would like an answer to that too ^^

I don't know the mindset u guyz out there have when u start comboing.
Do you know ur combos in a way that u know what ure going to do from the beginning to the end, with a littles changes depending on opponent DIs/stuff, or do u just "go with the flow", and see what'll happen ?

if it's at a percent where it'll set up for an easy edgeguard of course you should knee.

But a lot of times its not necessarily wrong to go for more hits. People tend to be scared (rightfully so) of the knee and DI in a LOT. Even good players. Lots of times if you go for an extra hit that damage might result in the knee killing them guaranteed/leading to a guaranteed edgeguard. Lots of the times you can also get a fairly reliable prediction of their DI from the context/their habits.

So basically just try to predict their DI/trick them, and if they are good you have to mix it up, like everything else in the game

experience will tell u more or less where the opponent will go based on good/ bad DI when you hit them

This
you'll just be able to see what you can combo into naturally

But like Winston said
Less hits to get your result > Long comboes

Unless you give 0 ****s
then go for it

If i know stomp knee wont kill i usually do stomp > stomp > try to tech chase.

Stomp stomp jab reset might work, but i always get nervous when im on the verge of doing something cool, so i usually forget to jab reset.
