I move that Grim be perma-banned.

Who's with me?

Also Attila's stagelist is good but I will miss Brinstar. :(

And Redact's melee stagelist is interesting. DGB stagelist for melee is ****.

I meant to put castle siege on my trial list, actually. There's just so much bs on that stage (that list was in line with the apex2 rulesets).

But yeah, I can't justify Brinstar for a conservative (and preferable) list. It's just too good for mk IMO, and in most cases results in an auto-ban.

Anyway since people were posting their own personal stage lists....

BRAWL:

Starters:
Lylat Cruise
Smashville
Battlefield
Pokemon Stadium 1
Yoshi's Island (Brawl)

Counter-picks:
Pokemon Stadium 2
Castle Siege
Final Destination
Delfino
Rainbow Cruise
Brinstar
Jungle Japes
Frigate Orpheon
Halberd

MELEE:
Starters:
Final Destination
Battlefield
Fountain of Dreams
Dreamland
Yoshi's Story

Counter-picks:
Pokemon Stadium
Brinstar
Rainbow Cruise

Or possibly Kongo, Mute City and Poke Floats added if players had two stage bans.
Exactly the same for me. Two stage bans for Brawl with that list, one stage ban for Melee (or 2 if Kongo, Mute and Floats are added)

EDIT: Lolwut, crashboards think that is Luke's post I quoted >_>

Discuss it in a logical, mature manner and we will
Which is exactly what I've been doing in this thread
"Comparing Wobbling to Marth's forward smash is perfectly legitimate."

"Incomparable to any move? Try Rest. Or Marth's grab against Fox."

"Except that the comparison between Wobbling and torturing dogs is very small, while multiple similarities can be drawn from other attacks and Wobbling."

None of these are logical, maybe if you don't understand why you should just stop trying

It's comparable in the sense that they both KO at 0%?
Facedesk.
Redact already explained that what ha....
cbf, you don't understand the concept of high risk high reward.
Mess up wobbling (lol?), nothing bad happens.
Mess up rest, you'll take the opponents strongest attack; sometimes you'll even take damage even if the rest kills and the player respawns.

My view is similar to Taks, or as Grim would put it, completely different.
Why would I put it as completely different? o_O

That argument might work if I said the moves were identical.

Which I didn't.

But luke, he's not my problem. if he is banned, then he is being punched in the face on behalf of everyone here, pretty much.
I personally would not like to have Grim punched in the face on my behalf.

Either way, if your problem is something thats just "annoying" you and not actually doing anything of consequence, then perhaps ignoring the problem WOULD cure it, albeit not punishing it and being cruel, but its the same outcome for me unless punishing fills you with some kind of sick sense of fulfillment.

Wut did i just post...

What do we want?
CASTLE SIEGE
When do we want it?
AT ACL

If it's yellow, let it mellow,
if it's Pictochat, flush it down!

You know it makes sense!

Grim doesn't deserve to be punched in the face anyway, lol.
He's opinionated, sure, but tbh I'd prefer that to a lot of other personality types, at least you know what he thinks, even if you couldn't disagree with it more.

Where am I making logical fallacies?

And that thread is awesome :D

Guys

Grim is making a comparison between Wobbling and tippering Marth's forward smash.
comparison
Comparison

Does nobody know what that word means? He's not saying "lol wobbling shouldn't be banned unless we ban Marth's F-smash"

Anyway as has been pointed out to successfully wobble the opponent needs to be at at least 30%, and that's in a perfect situation. (nana right beside popo, from a standing grab)
But seriously have you seen the ******** **** nana does once you separate nana from popo things get a lot easier.

But I don't really mind if wobbling's banned it just makes it easier to beat Grim.

Wobbling and Marth's Fsmash are not similar

Rest and marth's grab are not similar

torturing dogs and wobbling?

they can't be compared because they are not similar >_>

Well instead of saying they're not similar perhaps give reasons why they're not similar?

They all effectively take control away from the opponent after they hit. (it's almost always a stock loss).

you're not wrong, its your opinion. however everybody disagrees with your opinion. you're just way too stubborn to quit. People don't have to give you reasons to why they disagree. having an opinion is a right, not something that's earned by giving evidence. evidence is what forms an opinion, theres no obligation to share evidence in this situation however.

you should stop because it doesnt matter what you do, 99.99*% of people disagree with you in the same way you disagree with us. you're just being pushy. we've given you our reasons, and you've told us yours, we disagree, you disagree, why keep going? the more you REPEAT yourself by attempting to dispute our opinions the more you seem like an arrogant brat as aforementioned

NO OFFENSE BTW.

No they don't it's called DI, the opponent has to react to your DI in the case of Marth's grab to continue doing it, then there are also platforms involved which gives you even more options then that in the case there are any above you

You can survive rest with DI depending on the percentage, plus they get a huge punish if they miss it

Marth's fmash can be DI'd so that they can't follow up on it.

Wobbling completely removes any chance of getting out and can only be gotten out of if your opponent is ******** and doesn't press a at the right times >_>

they can't be compared because they are not similar >_>

Can you really not come up with any reason after thinking about it for like 2 seconds?

... Or is it that you are incapable of thinking for 2 seconds at a time?

Wobbling can only be gotten out of if the Wobbling player screws up, sure.

Now assume you are being Uthrow chain-grab'd by Marth on one of the Yoshi's Story platforms. The only way you'll get out is if the chain-grabber screws up, sure you can alter your DI, but that won't be enough against a good player.

Rest is survivable, sure. But it often isn't. And I wasn't comparing the risk:reward ratio, just the fact that they can both take away a whole stock just from one mistake.

What's the point in this thread then?
perhaps yuo havent realised

your opinion has been discussed already. nobody agrees. now its just annoying. theres no point in forcing your opinion more when it's already been established that you're not going to get anywhere.

It's not the "Ruleset Post Your Opinion and then Leave" thread, it's the "Ruleset Discussion Thread".

I'm discussing a ruleset. I was hoping that there would be at least someone with an open mind so my efforts aren't useless, but apparently not.

are you incapable of understanding anything? what oyu said has been DISCUSSED ALREADY. several pages in this thread and about a score in the other thread. It's not that we're not lsitening, its that we listened and decided against it. You're not some guy who's 'being ignored', you're some guy who's 'being disagreed with'. Do you see the difference? discussion has been had, why continue posting? Your posts are no longer contributing to discussion, now they are just 2 people (ghost) constantly giving their opinion when no one wants it anymore.

and now you're just calling us close-minded because we disagree. GJ.

Grim, are you seriously trying to logic us into doing this your way? That's like trying to logic someone into having sex with you, not that you'd know.

Your example is based on a certain percentage range, works on a few matchups and on one stage, i've also seen people mess it up countless times as well.

Rest is survivable but often isn't.... is that really your answer? :urg:

user grim

you're getting the nobody gives a **** debate. they'll keep responding to you with fallacious and or convoluted posts, and, like the good little debater you are, you'll be sucked in every time. save your state the embarrassment and go for a walk or something.
