I do like NMH is this from their first album or some ep?
Also 8/10. i am sure this rating will go up over time b/c thats what always happens with NMH for me. at first i hated in the Aeroplane over the sea but now i love that album. so this is solid and i am sure it will grow on me

As for my song, here is something else I didnt like at first which has grown on me
Twin Sister: Lady daydream

Ok b4 I rate it i just want to say a few things. First i want to say Luigi from what i have seen so far u seem to listen to diverse and solid music. I also want to say that I feel my ratings might seem kinda low but i would almost never give anything a 10 on my first listen. I kinda feel like I am in a dark room i've never been in b4 when i listen to something new and it takes me some time b4 I can figure out where i am and whats going on. Lastly I hope no one takes my ratings personally.

That being said i give that sound a 2/10: To put it plainly i just didnt like it. I am sure many other people r really into bjork but I just cant see myself ever getting into something that sounds like that. (i feel like a heel b/c u just gave my last song a good review)

Now most music I listen to I find through friends who r really into the music scene. but for my next song here is something I stumbled onto by accident, and something which I feel is not something I would normally get into but something about it catches me

Unknown Mortal orchestra: Ffunny Ffriends

edit: this is a oddly long post for a music thread sorry :)

I'd give it a 4/5. I'm not really big into screaming lyrics. The composition of everything else is pretty stellar though.

Oh yeah I remember these two. Kind of a more catchy female Dashboard Confessional. They're not bad, but it's almost like you'd get more enjoyment if you're already feeling the emotion they're trying to evoke, if that makes any sense. They're very... niche'd.

Ahhh, from the good ol days. This is one of my favorite Muse songs, and is on the last decent album they put out. Love the creeping synth arpeggios, and the climax to this song is one of the band's most explosive ones. Very satisfying and powerful song.

OMG this beat is so pimpalicious. I approve of Gucci being on the hook. He just fits it so well. Project Pat, Bun B and Big Boi control the beat so well. I might be listening to this a few more times.

4/5 I dig this. I like the upbeat, catchy rhythm. I wish I could pinpoint who the female vocalist reminds me of. The guy kinda sounds like someone that would be in Arctic Monkeys.

I don't this is a song that I'd take the lyrics into much account. If anything, I listened to this song for its instruments, and they proceed to impress me. I honestly was not feeling the beginning, but once it picked up around the 45 second mark, it was a pleasant thing to listen too. With that being said, I really don't get the lyrics, and I'd probably have to listen to it a hundred times before I did...but for now, I'll avoid that. Overall, really rhythmic and relaxing.

Hypnotic beat. I like the idea of the song but Lupe's verses are pretty meaningless which kinda weakens the concept of the song.

Lupe goes in though, flow-wise. Nice to listen to, I just wish he put more work into the lyrics.

I think the point was to have lyrics with a ton of meanings. So while it seems like he's dumbing it down, he's really making it more complicated. So, it sounds good to the people who just want to hear words that rhyme and it's mindblowing to those who actually understand it.

Also, if you want correct lyrics, just go to Rapgenius.com. Most people are pretty bad at putting correct lyrics to these videos.

Yorke's a frontman among frontmen, it was expected that he'd write and sing well to the accompanying music's mood. I did actually find the beat they had going kind of irritating and it lingers when I felt it should end. I can't find much of a complaint towards the rest though.

Want You Gone by Jonathan Coulton (Portal 2 credits song)

I'm a huge fan of Jonathan Coulton, but this one just wasn't as memorable as 'Still Alive'. Still pretty funny though

This is probably a lot different than what people have been posting, but this one of my favourite pieces of all time. I also feel kind of horrible calling a single movement of a string quartet a 'song', but I just want someone to listen to this, lol. Let's get some contemporary classical up in this thread

This is brutal. Makes me feel like my brain is dissolving bit by bit. I'm going to have to listen to this whole composition because as it with just this piece it feels incomplete.

I always dig bassist singers.
For some reason I'm not quite resolved with this song. Maybe it was too short. I liked what I was given but they sort of whetted my appetite and then left me half-way full.

Before I rate your song, i just want to say i 100% understand what u mean about the song I posted. In fact when i posted it i wanted to post the next 2 or 3 songs from the ep as well since i felt u kinda need them together but this is not called rate the songs above u or rate an ep so i only put the first song down.

Now for your song: 7.5/10. Its good and something I feel i would listen to once and a while but nothing that would be a favorite and its something which I wouldn't just listen to unless i was in the mode for it. Like there r some songs were no matter how u feel or if u have no idea what u want to listen to they will still work, i dont feel this song does that.

Now like I was saying I wanted to post the other songs after the one i did post so why not do it now. so if u feel like it u could listen to the first then this one

Cool reverb-y guitar tone. I like the way the vocals overlap over one another. The song sounds like a bit of a mess, but in a good way.

why is the video 3.5 minutes long when the song is only 2?

anyways, it was pretty good. I'm assuming that this track leads directly into another one and that's why it cuts off so abruptly.

Not a fan of the vocals or the use of synth, and the video game section seemed to come out of nowhere. Besides that, the song is pretty solid. Instrumentation is good, I like the drummer. It just kinda feels like this was meant to be three or four different songs. I don't dislike it, just nothing especially stands out for me.

I like the feel of this song, but I'm not that big of a fan of the vocal melody, its like the guy is trying to sound like Muse, but lacks the power behind his voice. Other than that, instrumentation is very nice, I like the drums, and the music video fits fantastically!

6.5/10: idk it just didnt catch me, nothing about it stood out and made me think/feel it was a really good song

@luigitoilet, u r correct to think it leads to another song and idk why the video was much longer then the song. i didnt take notice of how long the video was. Anyway since u r correct in assuming that song led to another I will put the 3rd song from the ep down and then I want to get to other bands so this will just be a trinity. So here is a kinda weird but fun song

Ominous and fun at the same time. It's got a powerful beat while the whirring of the synth makes it feel like things are about to go out of control, which then kind of resolves nicely into the chimey higher pitches during the chorus.

I feel it's illustrated well in the video with her being kind of unsure at first, then just going with the flow.

Somewhat scary song imo. It reminds of me epic boss battles when the music gets to a fast tempo and then goes quiet and calm. This would make me a little unnerved while playing the game. I have enough trouble trying to play the game becuase I'm scared to go up close to a collosus. Always had trouble playing that game xD 5/5!

I totally listened to the wrong one. I loved the shadow of the colossus song!

This song seems fun in a rave atmosphere (which I don't particularly like) but nothing really impressed me in this song. Both of their voices annoyed me greatly. Almost everything about this song bothered me, though I somehow got through to the end.
