I picked up Peach because I thought she was way easier to play than Shiek. No, I dont think it was a good idea. Playing Peach is hard sometimes.

I started playing shiek sometime last summer but never officially mained her (marth main), until WCSL where i realized she is my best char by far so dropped marth and main her now. Hell yea it was a good idea shiek is too good.

I went back to marth because I can't use link in tourney and I was in a phase where I wasn't maining anyone at the time while I was using link for a majority of matches then realized it was really hard to compete with people with link.

BEsides I got training as marth before, it just took some time to get back to where it was.

i try not to have one main. i have used falco and fox the most but i use marth and sheik a lot too. i want to be really good with them all. being they are the best characters and have a lot of depth its fun to use them.

sheik, because when I started I could use the chain and my friends couldn't get past it. she also has the reeeeaaallyy easy to do dash attack slap combos. I didn't know what tilts were at the time though

Doc because way back in 6/7th grade, My friend Nick was "the best" at the game (FFA on Corneria, but even then we knew items were dumb) and he played Doctor Mario, so I picked him up. I later switched to Fox once I learned about Shine spiking, then Jiggs because of her Rest. I picked up Doc again when I started playing competitively.

i had never played melee before my junior year in high school and a friend brought it once because a whole group of us didnt have a sixth period but had practice right after.

i saw the roster and saw a guy in all blue and a sword. i chose him and liked playing him. my friends hated that i always played as him cause of f-smash. lol. so they thought i sucked. so one of them just told me pick up fox cause he was hard to play. i did and also beat them with fox.

then leepuff appeared and aesis and showed us we all sucked. i was the only one that was in awe and stuck to those two characters i chose from the beginning. later to find out that they were top tiers. i still suck with them. lol.

i mained samus in 64 but when i tried her in melee, she seemed slow compared to the rest
so i went for the next girl character and saw zelda, then i found out i can change into a fast ninja
so i stuck with her

I initially picked up the ICs because I liked how differently they played from the rest of the cast. I stuck with them because I couldn't beat Falco on FD with other characters, and I decided to main them when my Falco controller broke.

I probably shouldn't have dropped Sheik, though.

I played Fox / Link in 64. I was terrible but didn't know it. When I started playing Melee, I basically dropped Link entirely, and since Falco was easier to win with as a noob, I played him. Later, I discovered Sheik and thought she was pretty cool, and all ninja-like. So I started learning to use her. Later, when I discovered some of my friends that knew how to play actually well (for a noob-level, no ATs yet) I only ever used Sheik. Now I also play Puff in tourney. I dont remember if I was inspired at all by any famous puffs when I initially played her, I think that came later.

I used to secondary Marth back when I wasn't competitive because everyone thought that Roy was too good with his fire shenanigans. Started maining Marth after getting better with him. I 'feel' it was a good idea lol. Everyone these days knows how gay Marth is.

I like Drephen more, because he is the only player who places in tourney with all-sheik. But, I've heard some BS things from him before. But I've also heard bs things from m2k. I dunno, it's an odd debate for me.

I picked peach because i always used her in Mario kart and other nintendo games because its hilarious to kick people's butts with a princess. Back when you are a noob people don't realize Peach is a good character and got embarassed. I really like that her moves came from Mario 2 and Super Mario RPG. Then I saw some Mike G vids vs Azen and got even more excited to get better with her and join the competitive scene

i picked her in brawl because i still had the right mindset plus she is one of the few characters who can combo

I've always used Yoshi/Peach in every Mario/Nintendo game I've played b/c they're both awesome. Yoshi was just so cute and Peach just seemed so sassy (it was just so fun to win with her). In Smash I kept getting ***** with Yoshi so I tried Sheik next as my new main (I spammed dash attack all day). I always assumed Peach was a terrible character so I just never tried her... I don't know why either.

And then one day, I played with a bunch of friends and decided to use Peach(Free for All's were the **** back then). After that, I realized Peach's Dsmash was so amazing. And from there on I just kept playing Peach.

Anyway, as for the latest question. M2K would probably win but I'd be cheering for Drephen lol.

I didn't like the GCN fire emblem, it was kinda boring. I really only went back to marth because I realized it's just a really uphill battle to play the low tiers I was using. It's only so fun playing link until you run into all those fox/falco/shiek players. I'd rather be able to fight them, then people tell me it's ok the matchup is hard. So I picked up marth because when I first started playing seriously I did play marth.
