I've been having some strange issues with P.M the last couple of days...I've been going through pages and pages of this topic trying to find someone having the same problem and I've seen nothing of the sort. Also, apologies if this this doesn't belong in here but I couldn't find a better place to post this so, anyway...lately after booting PM on my unhacked wii, and whenever I battle on a stage that wasn't originally in Brawl it loads up as the original brawl stage used to put the new one in (I don't know a thing about programming so sorry for not being technical) for example the crystal caverns stage from the original smash loads up as the irritating as hell Mario bros. stage, the mini Hyrule stage loads up as the full Hyrule Castle etc; Along with that, WD seems to not work at all, Zeldas Din's fire explodes upon release and a couple of other odd attack related things. The versus menu still looks as it usually does in PM but after going back, the main menu looks as it would as if I was playing sans PM. If I go back to Vs it's still in PM style however. Now the only thing that has happened that could possibly have caused this is that I went online to battle and smash service downloaded me a custom stage I couldn't erase, yknow the ones that last 24 hours or whatever. So I changed the date on my Wii so it would go away, it did, and when I started up PM the next time the stages thing I mentioned was going on. Later I was going through the menus to see if anything else was amiss and I went to custom stages and the game froze up and buzzed so I turned it off. A couple of other times when I was trying to play the same kind of thing happened. I cant think it could be anything else other than the things that I did that I mentioned. I'm assuming I need to redownload...but I don't want to accidently erase anything else off my SD, save games etc; I haven't posted on Smash Boards much but I certainly lurk a lot. Admittedly.

are any of the known issues being worked on atm?

btw, my game ALWAYS freezes at the button configeration screen (want to make R = jump, for lucas zap jumping)

oh and was glide tossing removed just from the demo, or completely scrapped? if so, why?

@octolink: Sounds like the .pacs aren't loading, and since you're using the hackless method, I would assume this means you have a 4+ GB SD card, making it unusable for the method.

Still applies, aerial glide tossing is still in it is just not a lot of momentum gained from doing it + it can be tricky with different characters.

Could I request a code in the patch that makes the winner of the Sudden Death the player with the percentage lead? :D

And if percents and stocks are tied, make it go to no contest rather than a sudden death?
But then we'll never get to play sudden death for the hell of it.....

ok thanks, how is it done again? i tried with link and nothing seemed to happen
It's done the same way as you do a regular glide toss. Cancel the air dodge with an item throw and you'll notice that Link gets a very small momentum boost (it may be hard to tell but he does get a boost).

It may be the brawl model throwing me off, but I think marth is too small. compare his head to links an you'll see what I mean.

Also, randomest stuff hapened to me while I was playing ganon. snake used
side b and I deflected it with down b, sending the missile vertically (Wiz kick hit snake so he lost control of it). A good ten seconds or so later I was gonna finish snake off and the missile comes out of wherever-the-hell and kills me XD

edit:This probably happens on any version of brawl though

I figured it was a lack of certain files loading. And my memory card is a 1GB. It was working completely fine the first couple of times I started it up and played. Oh, and in my previous comment I forgot to add how much I appreciate all the work you guys are putting into this. Seriously. PM kicks so much *** even in it's demo build :reverse:

Currently, bowser is in a good enough state that if we change something like flamethrower, it may make him better than he already is. We are still playtesting bowser at the moment and I also don't know what can be changed with flamethrower. lol

you can SDI it, but you can't non-tumble DI it to get out of it easier, at least, yet.

Bowser already can aim his breath up and down, making him move while doing that and the good range that fire breath has would certainly be no good.

What. Can you no longer SDI firebreath? I don't know if you knew, but Bowser has one of if not the slowest walk in the game.
You can, but its not like if you got out of it he couldn't just take a step back or forward, then aim it up or down just to get you stuck in it. And imagine how **** of an edgeguarding move it would be if you could move while doing it. Its the same reason you can't move when charging chargeable b moves, its for the sake of balance.

No, I actually really like the "footstool button."

I can't find any good videos so I'll try to give an example.

If you successfully footstool Link out of his upB you would assume you would go up and Link would go down, but that's not how it works. Link's upB is protected from footstools, like many other moves, so you can go up, but Link just keeps going like nothing happened.

I think it would add to the competitive depth if no move had this protection.

Edit: Here we go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hb7fxkIHb5g
Shiek get's a footstool, but nothing happens to snake.
I just remembered, I hate the footstool button because footstooling is gay and making it completely risk free to do is not cool. Like, if Up-taunting forced you to expend a midair jump while in the air, then things would be okay, but as it is footstooling is not okay.

Footstooling should REQUIRE you to expend a midair jump for missing it, given how powerful a technique it is. Not simply for the threat of edgeguarding, footstooling is just a stupidly powerful mechanic in general.

I have seen one case where anyone has consciously used the second button for footstooling. I challenge you to consciously add it to your metagame with its own button and prove its usefulness. It comes at its own risk - you put your hurtbox out there with *no* hitbox.

I think your concern is completely unwarranted until proven otherwise.

Get some vids up and maybe you'll have a point.

Just integrating PM with my other hacks, and I got some questions:

1) Is common3.pac necessary for stuff to not screw up?
2) what .pacs to I need for Zelda's+Sheik's transformations to keep their custom costumes?
3) Does PM have the code that prevents the c-stick from fast-falling? If so it's not working for me.
4) Is Lucas' FS not supposed to work? Cuz he doesn't actually create a starstorm any more lol.
5) I baleeted PM's custom Pictochat, but now normal Pictochat gets framerate issues where the framerate halves for a while, then doubles for a while. Wat.

Having tons of fun with this, you guys are awesome. :D

1) Yes, you must keep Project M's Common3.pac
2) Just the regular texture stuff, FitZelda00.pac and pcs, FitSheik00.pac and pcs, etc
3) Yes
4) We used variables from his final smash to make offense up(neutral B) to work.
5) wait what. o.O

1) Yes
2) The numbered .pacs
3) Yes they do have the code IIRC
4) They stated that they had to use the FS resources for something else
5) I don't know why. Maybe it came with a .rel and you forgot to remove it if you're using normal pictochat.

1) Yes, it is completely necessary as it changes some characters' projectiles (Snake's grenades)
2) What? The only things Zelda and Sheik have should be their fitmotion and fitchar.pac, they don't come with any costumes at all.
3) Yes, it does, in fact it's a completely redone code than what's available to the public.
4) We used his FS to get Offense Up to work, sorry to disappoint you.
5) Check for Picto's module if it has one otherwise... can't really say what could be causing that.

Not to mention that Footstools are techable and slow enough to do so on reaction.
