But CC-ing should also be implemented as a tool to stop running. >_<;But if you use attributes of the metal box, couldn't you possibly make it so that you had similar properties when cc-ing? You don't get stunned when metal.
That's easy, just an animation change. No real properties are adjusted there.But CC-ing should also be implemented as a tool to stop running. >_<;
they implimented this like 8 months ago. lolol.But CC-ing should also be implemented as a tool to stop running. >_<;
crouch cancel != dash cancelBut CC-ing should also be implemented as a tool to stop running. >_<;
I feel like i'm the only one that saw this.please. lengthen fd? make it purple? we could have done that months ago. i told you guys, you have no clue what we can do.
oh, i almost forgot...the fallen five just might rise again...
Sorry, give me a break.Doc is part of the fallen five. >_>
Melee doesn't have wifi or any of the new Brawl characters.Wouldn't it make more sense just to play melee?
What they could do is once they feel the game is balanced enough for general release is to only rebalance on a strict timetable like every 3 years or so. By keeping such a long change between patches they avoid the FOTM class problem seen in MMOs.If you guys really do get it to point where it looks/feels just like melee where I can just plug my controller in and feel almost no difference while practicing tech skill, do you realize how impossible it is going to be to balance and how much drama and splitting of different communities it will cause? Its going to be impossible to regulate and get everyone to agree with balance changes and when its enough and when there has been sufficient time to test balancing the chars and when its time to nerf/buff characters. It will be the most drama ever smashboards might explode.
I bolded everything I disagree with.Melee being a good game has little to do with the high execution barriers. It would be nice to lower them a little so the REAL game is more accessible to people. Automatic L-canceling would be a really good feature. The important thing is to not remove depth, so an automatic wavedash wouldn't work because you want to go different distances at different times.

This project has the potential to be better than melee.
Any thoughts on balancing items? If you put them on a precise timer and a specific spawn location it could add depth to the game.
What do you guys think about adding something like a super meter that when full lets the person use their final smash?
1. I personally made a Mewtwo already. It doesn't look like Mewtwo though, so its hard to identify him as such. Everything is more or less in place though.1. How are you going to make Mewtwo? Or is Lucario similar enough to just tweak him to act M2?
2. How strong will Brawl's top tiers be with Melee physics?
3. What are some of your balance ideas to improve low tiers? They really aren't that bad and a couple small tweaks are enough to make some of them competitive. I would suggest making everyone's shield not suck, let Yoshi jump out of shield, straight up lengthen some recoveries... nothing too big
Not quite, but a bit yes. There are still pretty dominant races in starcraft, it's just that for example:Doesn't Starcraft come pretty close?
Very, very interesting.Not quite, but a bit yes. There are still pretty dominant races in starcraft, it's just that for example:
Tier list:
A: A
B: B
C: C
Now immagine the top A tier can do something almost no one can get around, but the lowest tier, can actually counter that. Making him still a lower tier in MOST situations, but very viable to play, because most people play A tier, and he is the only one to get around it.
This way A gets screwed (in a sense) by C. Meaning that there are still overall tiers, but that there's also balance.
