Not trying to be mean, just that it's proven that to have good mental strength you need to be at least somewhat fit. World renowned pro gamer Fatal1ty admits that he plays tennis every day just to be sure he keeps his mental strength up.

Although being out of shape won't hurt you much, it will lead to faster mental exhaustion.
