You guys only seem to think that players that have come over there are any good, the rest you assume to be "meh" without even anything to base these ideas on.

Saying "a player besides armada from europe in the top 7, would be a huge upset" is just dead on ignorant.
Most american players are still too combo/techskill horny to see how good some european players are. Even to the point where you simply can't see the vast number of small mindgames players like Remen display in their videos, I see.
And other american players have probably not even watched european players.

The only players that seem to be giving atleast a little respect to them, are your top players, and no one listened to m2k when he was the only one saying Armada would place atleast top 10 at Genesis.

Wow. It was just my opinion. I've watched a LOT of European vids and I'd hardly say I'm being biased in favor of American players. Did you notice I gave 5 of the top 8 spots to European players? And I've never even been to Europe. I have mad respect for Europe. It may astonish you to learn that I gave Armada credit for being a top player several years ago when I first saw his vids. I was not at all surprised to see his name in grand finals.

I think you have a point, but you should give credit where it's due and not generalize; it's not only the top players over here that respect Europe.

THIS!!!

For god's sake will the European players stop taking random potshots? Are you going to let a FEW of the American players that pissed you off, affect everything? I'm trying to not think lowly of the attitude of European players, but it's getting harder and harder. Stop thinking that we're singling out European players. Look around. We do it to EVERYONE. If there is someone that is a big name in their region, they're put under the microscope because of the hype. They find any and everything to down this player. Why? Because nobody wants to see their favorite player lose. PLENTY of people went and looked at Armada. Most thought he was really good. However, vids aren't everything. Armada was shown respect in the US. He got respect. However...don't go pissing your pants anytime someone thinks Armada might lose to a certain player. Mango gets it, M2K gets it. People were PRAYING that Ken lost at times.


I laughed when I heard how many times people kept saying, "Thsi kid is really good." I was sitting back like..."um YEAH." I knew it. Pleny of other players knew it. However, you should know this...when people start trying to find your weakness...it means you're good. People aren't dumb...they see it.

Lol I wasn't mad at you in anyway, 50% of my post was trolling.
The only part that was directed at you, was me disagreeing with the rock paper scissors part since I don't see where you get the idea from that he would have more trouble with m2k than with hbox. I think it would definitely be the other way around.

I wasn't mad at anyone, especially not at you, the angry parts of my posts where directed to people who where placing people like zgettho in their list without even knowing how good they are ^^.

I was just trying to say, do not rank people, if you don't know them.

drephen *****. I'd like to see him against armada. armada's gonna totally think he knows drephen's playstyle, but then again everyone does and then end up getting ***** anyways.

Haha, okay, fair enough. Or maybe I should say "Bair" enough; I've been taking it for granted that m2k is, even now, still a better player than HBox, but I'm torn between saying that results speak for themselves and that HBox's successes are due to the fact that players don't know how to defend themselves against abuse of Jiggs' brokenness. I shouldn't underestimate HBox, so I don't really know what to think. Doesn't Sheik have a better matchup against Jiggs than the spaces do? Still, I'm worried that the lack of outstanding European puff players will leave Europeans with an Achilles' heel.

Oh we have Biscuit and a french jiggz player who are both really good. Not hbox/mango good though.

And no, sheik does noet fair (lol) better against jiggz than the spacies do, in the least. Especially not fox.

Look at the m2k vs amsah matchup this way: he either picks Marth against amsah's Sheik, in wich case he'll get gayed by the matchup, or he'll pick sheik against his sheik. In wich case I would like to say "And I'm sure amsah will win this because his sheik is that much better." As much as I really believe his sheik is better, it's not possible for me to say how fast, and how well, m2k will start reading Amsah, and the other way around. And how much problems he'll have with NTSC sheik.

Jiggz is just gay, and imo Hbox has become, maybe not a better, but atleast a more troublesome player than m2k.

It's interesting how, pre-Genesis, everyone had only US players in their top 10.

Pre-Pound, everyone has Euros everywhere. Most of these people don't even know who most of these Euros are. Lol.

Gut feeling: Armada, M2K, and Mango are gonna beast. I don't see Amsah getting above 5th. Hbox will get unlucky in brackets. No falcon's gonna place higher than 13th.

Hope: M2K takes first. 2nd - 9th will be all Europe. Mango won't make it outta pools. :laugh:
