yo raftbuilder/greg how'd u guys get "gambling" okay'd on campus, my campus is mad gay and says that exchange of money in form of a tourney is gambling and not allowed, but u guys did it on a grand scale >_>

We got around it by having all entrance fees and payouts done on-line. The scheduling and business services offices never mentioned anything about gambling.

Plank/G-reg don't go to UMBC I guess my name doesn't make things obvious enough, heh.

I know I forgot a lot of people but its been a week! I loved everyone I met and had a great time at my first EC tournament, no matter how crummy I played compared to usual. Oh well =P

Chu-you're a really cool guy, i will never play a money match with you ha ha and don't steal our DSes that were sitting outside at the dorms, i'm the new guy in Darkrain's crew btw. Plank-I appreciated the tournament and how pissed off you got at people that weren't doing what they were supposed to, it made things smoother and was good stuff. N64 i miss you, come back to KC. To the Cok- you guys make me love the midwest even more. GGs everyone.

Lastly, I think it should be said that Dmac and I warlock and falcon punched a Jiggs on opposite sides simultaneously, killing it off of the top. *pats self on back* And Dmac wouldn't go with the team name "2 guys, one Cups." *sighs*

I'm glad that most people had a good time and most people are considerate about the entire thing.

A select few people are really inconsiderate assholes and dont realize how much work I did put in for this. I'm sorry everything ran so late, regional crews trying to fit in were my fault. I just felt bad for people having to pay so much and only getting the standard two events.

Aside from this, though, this being the last HUGE melee tournament before brawl, people were really eager to play as many friendlies as possible. I'm not saying this is the only reason things went way longer than they should have, there were LOTS of reasons, a good bit of them my fault.

But don't mistake this for a lack of effort on my behalf. I'm really sick of being disrespected and treated like I did this on purpose, or like I knew it was going to turn out this way. SO many things went wrong before this tournament, I spent collective days on the phone with paypal customer service and with my bank. I went into UMBC multiple times and had to PLEAD with them because of some issues, things almost got cancelled multiple times. I took a week off of work to prepare, and mostly, I lost a good bit of money hosting this in the end.

I didn't have enough staff or people helping me and that was a huge problem, I didn't think things out enough, I expected everything to just go much smoother than it did.

Anyway this is the last thing I'm posting in this thread. I thanks EVERYONE who showed up, and moreso everyone who showed their support and understanding when things didn't go exactly as I had planned.

If i do do anything else, it will be during the summer and probably mainly brawl, and i'd rent like 64 tvs from rent-a-center, cuz that was a huge issue. Also food is nice, but not necessary, especially when the venue was gay and didn't let you have any variety.

Chillin/Chu, I know you think I was singling you out and unneccessarely being rude to you guys, but I would've done the same to anyone else in your situations. I would appreciate if you could keep the snide comments about me being an awful tournament host to yourselves - or at least - out of my sight/not directly aimed at me because frankly, I put my entire self into this and it really is upsetting when you say things like that. I wish you the best of luck with Press Start, and I hope it goes over a lot better than my apparent fiasco.
