I haven't really looked at the Safari Zone much, but I think it's pretty cool.
I personally don't care how long things take, if I want it bad enough I'll probably keep going. Need to look into it to make a definite opinion though.

Beat Johto and Kanto, I have yet to beat Red.
I hate how I have to grind in the Battle Frontier to get enough BP for stuff I need. bah

Hoenn Sound was pretty cool, too.
and actually, I'm in love with the music. the GB Sounds item is so cool.

This game is one of the most beautiful, but they really screwed my 10/10 rating by screwing up the catch rates. I swear some of these captures make me want to throw my DS at the wall

I mean wasting 25 balls on a lapras who ends up running away and then wasting 1 ball on lapras and successfully capturing it... wtf?

I haven't posted in here for a while, so it's prolly time for an update on my progress.

Beat the E4 for the first time over the weekend (I know I'm far behind, but I spent an unnecessarily large amount of time either not playing or working on my dex). Lance was my only real challenge and even then, only his Charizard and strongest Dragonite. Dragonite ripped through everyone on my team not named Steelix with Outrage and on the rare turns Steelix took the Outrage for someone else, I healed/revived someone. Mostly Dnite would finish Outrage just as I switch in Steelix and then next turn, through confusion, hit with Fire Blast. Charizard only gave me trouble because I could only stall him with Quagsire, but had to heal it after every Air Slash (and it only missed with one, but luckily no crits)

I'll prolly be lazy and finish it by trading the living dex I was making to store in MPR to HG. IIRC I had a couple of boxes worth of level-up evos, Mewtwo, Johto legends, Latias, Kyogre, and Deoxys left to complete my collection (everything is legal and from breeding if possible)

I haven't had much trouble catching things in HG, but that's most likely because I bred (and EV trained) a Breloom specifically for catching things on Platinum a while back and traded over it fairly early.


Now to finish Kanto....

And my friend who was going to get an extra for me on her other game had no clue how to get it, even though she's used Mystery Gift before, and I told her "Use Mystery Gift, hit receive gift, and select Wi-Fi." -headdesk-

Haha, my pokedex only has 57 obtained. Ever since I got into the competitive aspect I just haven't bothered to catch crappy pokes. I'll probably trade over my D/P collection at some point. I've got over 200 pokemon on it. I just need to figure out how I'll do it. :s

I only traded some necessities from Diamond (EV'd shinies, etc.) but other than that I'm going to scratch and start my PokeDex all over. My Diamond PokeDex before it's erasure consisted of 482 caught Pokemon.

Bruno was seriously downgraded. Any psychic can kill that guy, just like Koga can be defeated by any fire type and that guy (will?) can be defeated with an ice type which you can find in the ice tunnel

Karen was a ***** and Lance was an even bigger ***** XD

You're not going to last against Lance. My Pokemon were a minimum of level 40 and each of them barely survived a neutral hit from Lance's Pokemon. Ampharos would survive with 4 HP from an Outrage, Poliwhirl survived with 10 HP from an Air Slash, etc. Mamoswine was an exception, but that's different.

My pokemon are all sadly overleveled. I'm about to fight Pryce and all my pokemon are level 37 or above. I think it has something to do with the fact that I'm fighting every wild pokemon I see.

I'm absolutely AWFUL at the snowball one. It's the only one I still need to get a record in to access the last room.

The guy blocking your way out of town? You have to beat the gym first. In order to get rid of the guy blocking the gym, you have to complete the Lake of Rage sidequest.

But I am great at the stamina courses though. I'm pretty beast at the summo wrestling whatever, the relay race, and the smashing the bricks challenge. It also makes it easier when you have a Delibird, Probopass, and a Chansey with power juice on your team XD

Your Vaporeon is only 2 levels from learning aurora beam. Or you could teach it blizzard or ice beam. I really like your team

I would think RNGing for that would take the fun and excitement out of it, but maybe that's just me.

RNGing for IVs and natures, maybe, but shinies stop being exciting once you know when you'll get them.

No. The Sun and Moon Shards only existed because there was no day/night mechanic in XD.
