Why? Just wondering.

If you're scared to lose data you could always just copy your saved files onto a 2nd memory card so you have 2 copies of each saved file. I'm guessing this the reason though.

Playstation Plus can save your data into an storage you when you purchase it. So if you switched PS3s or your data gets corrupted the backup will be in the Playstation Plus storage.

Do you have the memory card slot adapter? You can use those to transfer PS2/PSX in and out. Some games do have protection on the save data. I should mention you can copy data too.

^ Ah found out there are two ways:

Code/Gameshark, where I can back everything up onto my PC OR

A Cord that takes all my ps1/ps2 files and puts them on ps3, from there I plug in my Flash Drive to Save them there, eventually my External HDD, etc.

My only question is, I have a 320GB ps3...can that accept ps2 files? I know I lack backwards compatability, but can I at least have the files? Really wanting to buy this mostly for ps1 save files, but if I can back up ps2 save files too it'd open up a door of possibilities >.>

I have the same PS3 as you. Mines accepts PSX/PS2 files. All you need is a Memory Card Adapter. Getting that will help you.
Yup, that is exactly what I use on my PS3 for transferring my PSX/PS2 game saves from my PS3 to PS2 and vise versa, very convenient when wanting to do use certain codes hehe.

Graphics too good. In another interview, the guy said they have yet to even tap the PS3's potential lol.
Looks interesting indeed, I wonder if any developer could push the PS3 to it's limits, (if it hasn't been done so already?)

Hmm, I want too but a bit too busy. Aside from Ad-Hoc Party Monster Hunter sessions, playing 13-2, Dark Souls, and SCV.

And I've still got to get Tales of Graces F before they stop printing.

Well, I know I am very late for this, but....I finally managed to get over my dislikeness over Oblivion and finally bought the "Game of the Year" edition, I must say it's interesting, but we'll see how this goes....

For both 360 and PS3, if you buy FF13-2 from Amazon, you get FF13 free. Limited offer.

Aww...too bad, I just picked up my preorder FFXIII-2 from Gamestop today, not like it would matter much since I already own the original, but free goodies are always a good thing IMO.

I was reading a thread on another forum and I found out that you can get a white cloak after collecting enough of those white auras and someone mentioned being a tour guide (I'm assuming he was just saying he knows the entire layout of the game). I think I'm gonna just keep replaying it until I get all the auras.

It's not the best RE I have played but it in terms of online for this game It is better than RE5. I still think Outbreak was the best online RE they had. More people are getting annoyed how they bring back old titles or remake them but they don't bring back Outbreak or its online support.

Looks awesome. I have always loved the LBP music, and this fits right in. Also, I lol'ed when they were all riding boxing gloves. Completely random.

I would say it's legit for 2 reasons.

1. The reviews are good.
2. You can't slap the "Sony" label on a box/controller unless it is owned by them.

Btw, next time you want a PS3 controller, wait until Black Friday. I got mine from Radio Shack for 25 bucks.

Sony Announces Dedicated Server Rentals Coming to PlayStation 3

Came across this a few hours ago:

Today EA Games Battlefield 3 Community Manager Ian Tornay has announced via Sony's blog that dedicated server rentals are coming to PlayStation 3 entertainment system users.

To quote: PlayStation 3 Battlefield 3 players will have a chance to make Battlefield history.

Starting today, we're going to offer PlayStation 3 players the opportunity to rent their own dedicated server. Your rules, your friends, your Battlefield.

Want to enable friendly fire? Done. Want to only allow spawning on your squad leader? Make it happen. Like health regeneration, but not 3D spotting? You get the idea.

Your server, your rules. And if you want to keep things exclusive put a "bouncer" out front; give your friends VIP status so they can cut to the front of the queue when joining, or keep unwanted players out by banning them.

Whether you're using it as your favorite place to play ranked matches with your friends or as a staging ground to practice new tactics and strategies, you can't go wrong. You'll be able to rent servers for periods of one day (€1.49), seven days (€6.99), 30 days (€24.99), or 90 days (€59.99).

The demand to be among the first PlayStation players to rent a Battlefield server will doubtlessly be huge. However, in order to ensure a stable experience for everyone, we will be ramping up capacity as the week progresses.

If you can't rent a server today, don't fear! You'll have your chance as we increase the number of available servers over the course of a week.

Looking for some of the weapons and gear that you've seen Battlefield veterans using? You're in luck! We're also introducing Shortcut items which will allow you to get caught up to more experienced players.

Each item unlocks all the weapons and/or equipment for vehicles, a specific class, or even the co-op weapons. You can also bundle the items together if you're looking to unlock more at once for a deal.

If you're itching to get a jump start with a class you've been neglecting or just want to get your hands on some advanced weaponry, they're the way to go. There is a lot of variety so go check them out on either the PlayStation Store or our in-game store.

And last, but certainly not least, we've created a new Conquest Assault variant for our Back to Karkand owners who love Wake Island. This new mode offers a more tactical experience including a mobile anti-air spawn at the Beach base. In order to check out this new layout, search for Conquest Assault & Wake Island - keeping an eye out for the "CQA Alt2″ note in the server details.

We hope you enjoy all the new goodies we're adding, as well as the http://blogs.battlefield.com/2012/0...playstation-3-xbox-360-and-pc-will-come-soon/ we're rolling out.

As always, for more news about Battlefield 3, be sure to head on over to our blog!

Get ready for the end of gaming, fellows. The key thing is the anti-Used Game policy. If this is confirmed true, you will not see MS back down either, leaving only Nintendo to care all used games. Used games don't help a console at all, so if people flock to it for the sake that it allows used games, well you can see where this will become problematic.

The no backwards compatibility makes a lot of sense to me too.

Meh, its just a rumor, however, if its actually confirmed by Microsoft or Sony then we do have a problem.
