Hm, well I was just getting at the aspect that both GoW and UC have similar graphics art style. I guess UC is a bit more vivid, where as GoW takes place in more darker areas. And yeah, for anyone who has not played UC3, that "moment" in the game was something else.

I will also say Livewire is a horrible teammate in MP :troll:

Wouldn't Zelda: OoT and TP be not considered bright and vivid? Seems like you might have a dislike for a lot of "popular" games on the PS3 and 360. Uncharted, Gears, MGS, Infamous, etc. Not saying it's a bad thing. To each their own.
While I wasn't the biggest fan of OoT, I think the 3DS remake feature some bright colors in comparison to the N64 sister. As for TP, it is actually my favorite Zelda game. Like I said before, there are exceptions. Daytime Hyrule, specifically Lake Hylia, is my favorite part of the game, but there are plenty of dark areas. I just think it's a very balanced game that makes up for the darkness in the art.

Uncharted strikes me as being a pretty vivid game, colour-wise.
I actually didn't think of Uncharted, but that was a beautiful trilogy in terms of art. I absolutely love jungles and forestry in video games.

Have we ever even PLAYED Uncharted together? And I'm not a bad teammate, I just get mad when people run off and try to Rambo everyone only to get 4 or 5 on 1'd, and then leave me trying to cover 3 people running 3 different directions. While watching my own back. :glare:

Lol, yeah we have. Just go look at your comment box. A few posts down, I have me posting about our matches.

And well hey, I usually run with another guy, and if I do go alone, I usually am fine. Granted it's been ages since I last played, but before I stopped...I was usually getting around a 2:1 and sometimes 3:1 KD ratio.

I've never actually tried the MP on Uncharted 3. I just beat single player and left it at that.

Oh, my bad. I guess since it was only a couple of times and I wasn't used to playing with you, like some of my other PSN contacts, I probably hadn't been able to get a bit of Synergy or whatnot down yet.

That being said, you should totally try the Multiplayer in UC3, Jumpman. It's pretty fun and kind of addicting. I played the Subway beta a bit sure (through making an alt PSN account for it), but I didn't play the actual multiplayer until I'd beaten the Single Player game. It's like...some rule I have for that kinda thing.

Yeah, I don't touch MP unless I have beaten the SP aspect of games. With that being said, I've probably logged about 130+ hours if you count the Subway and Summer betas.

My one complaint about the Multiplayer (aside from the random people complaining about X weapon being overpowered despite none of the weapons actually being overpowered at all) is the bit of changes to the Pull Down system. In UC2 it was SO much easier to pull people down even if they tried to kick you, but in this, even though the Pull Down has a reach advantage over Kick Off, the kick will sometimes teleport the person closer to you, making your arm go through their leg and have them like, start kicking after your animation was half-way through. Or well, it'll sometimes teleport you up a rung/wall notch/level you're hanging off of to be kicked down, which is weird.

Kicking is so easy. I mean, all I do is bait and make them whiff their pull (them Smash mindgames) and then I run and kick them off. My problem is that when you're hanging 2 feet off the ground, do you really need to "die" from getting kicked off?

Right, it's WAY too easy compared to how it should be in that there's no timing or anything to it at all. And hell, it's not whiffing when they're being pulled over and like, kick you when they're slowly going over your head. That being said, my thing in Uncharted Multiplayer has always been Pull Downs. Hell, in 2 I was averaging like 7 Pulldowns a match and had a goal to pull someone down from every ledge possible in MP. In UC3, it's so oddly difficult.

That being said though, if you're jumping from one ledge to another, you can actually pull someone down before you even grab hold of the second ledge. That, and Cloaked helps an insane amount, and Monkey Man when Gold'd makes you climb and pull people down like...twice as fast?

It seems to be an error that is affecting many PS3 owners. Some searching indicates that it's an issue with the Playstation Home on Sony's end.

Hi guys, so...

My psn won't work. I can't use my Debit Card to buy anything. I don't want to get a pre-paid card; I want to spend 5 not 20 dollars.

I've entered everything in so accurate yet it's still invalid and crap. Any advice?

PSN seemed to be having issues yesterday from what I was reading. Is it giving you any specific error messages, or just telling you that your card info is invalid?

God of War: Ascension to have multiplayer. The footage looks "unique" so to speak, but I am still getting peeved at SP games adding MP. Bioshock 2, Uncharted 3, AC come to mind when the SP becomes weaker. Hell, it's not like we're asking for a MP. I get the feeling it's the obvious cash cow. Wouldn't be surprised if this game has an online pass + DLC.

Really hope video games go into the future of making SP and MP different entities so you can pay for a cheaper product if you want one or the other.

Yeah SP games getting multiplayer while devs are being *****es and leaving offline multiplayer out of racing games. What the **** kind of modern racing game doesn't have offline multiplayer -_-

In my honest opinion, your money would be better spent just purchasing a PS2.

I have one, I'm not saying that it's bad. It's lasted me a good while, and while I haven't had many problems with mine, you would be better off investing your money in a PS2 and/or a newer PS3 imo. Mine has lasted me about five years and still going, give or take, which is pretty decent. However, it does have some issues, such as overheating and graphical errors because it just can't load certain discs properly, regardless of being PS2 or PS3.

And considering how much you would dish out for a fat PS3, I imagine that you could pay about the same amount for a PS2 and PS3 combined. They can run pretty pricey nowadays.

Own a fat PS3 (the one that came with MGS4, so 80 GB), no problems yet. If you do shop for one, try craig's list as the price will be more accommodating. Or listen to what Sol said.

It's also worth noting that I've used my PS3 every day, more or less, since purchase. Plus, dragging it halfway across the city every week for events and such.

So, maybe more wear and tear than most?

It does make for a good space heater though. :3c

Didn't hear anyone talk about this at E3, and it seems like a genuine gem. If anyone is into victorian/supernatural games utilizing either stealth or action...this maybe for you. Definitely has me interested.

Dishonored. Coming to PC, PS3, and 360.

I've been waiting for Dishonored since Game Informer did a breakdown on it!
Did they give a release date?

Game Informer? Holy hell, they're still around? I haven't read a single game magazine since EGM closed up. Hell, I can't even remember following one month by month since EGM2/XG/Gamenow stopped.
