To bump this: What's everyone playing?

Finally catching up with Brütal Legend and my replay of God of War 2 as well as doing Penny Arcade Episode 1 and Fat Princess.

I'm playing Metal Gear Solid 4 and Pure (my little brother bought it, its actually a decent game) right now. I got both of them from Gamestop's big sale that they're having right now.

MGS was $20, and a bunch of other great games are really cheap.

I have yet to beat MGS4. Things just got piled up when it came out, and never got to go back to it.

Right now, I am replaying Penny Arcade Epi 1 again because I messed up on the final boss, died, and saved, not thinking really. So, I botched the trophy where you never die in combat. I am about halfway done after starting yesterday afternoon.

On PSN, Anarchy racing game came out - $8 for a racing game that has 40+ trophies, and supposedly, it's fun. I also grabbed the detective game made by the Buzz people.

This week I want to beat God of War 2, Brütal Legend (I got behind in this one), and Dante's Inferno.

I definitely need to get the God of War collection. I never played the originals on ps2, and now seems like a good time to try them out.

Would you recommend the collection over Heavy Rain? It seems really good as well.

Heavy Rain is less of a game and more of a narrative/story. While very kick ***, just be aware you are more or less living what the story is.

I really can't compare the two, honestly.

Now, anyone saw that the "360-exclusive" GTA4 Episodes will be released on Blu-Ray for PS3 next month?

Basically think old NES/SNES style Zelda with 3D graphics and a character creator. If anyone loves games like LttP then you're bound to love this.

Hello, I just bought a PS3 (I am about a 2 day owner) and I am very new to it. When I first used it, I didn't even know what to do in it, that's how new I am. I have a question about PSN, can you upload your own image for an avatar or are you stuck with their avatars?

As for what Crimson said, I am currently starting MGS4. I like the online, that's what I mostly use MGS4 for, I haven't even started on the actual game.

Yea, unfortunately, we're stuck with the avatar's Sony supplies. It kind sucks for us Forum users where some of us has grown accustomed to attaching a avatar to a certain person. If you want new Avatar's you gotta buy them off the PSN Store.

Bungie has joined activision and plans on making games for multiple platforms. I guess that basically confirms that PS3 players will be getting Bungie games in the future. For those who think this includes Halo though, remember that halo is owned by microsoft. Still I guess its good news and I hope to see what they have planned.

Any ways, a week ago my Ps3 broke down, and so I sent it on Monday this week. I soon got it on Friday of the same week.

Bought ModNation Racer. No stupid game-changing blue shells, and no horrible item allocation (ala Mario Kart). All items are 100% random and upgradable. Also, if you are in first place and don't need the boost item (this works with any item), but you can drop it as a mine. Kinda annoyed with the online trophies, but all in all, very satisfied.

I also got 3D Dot Heroes for $25 and Red Dead Redemption for $28. After I do a ton of trophies in other games I own (GTA4, Brütal Legend, Red Faction Guerilla) I'm going to hit those up.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Anybody know what's going on here? I borrowed my friends "Uncharted" game and it didn't work at first. I looked at the disk and it was really dirty so I cleaned it off and it's been fine (only had it for a day or 2). Then I showed my brother how I can get on the internet from the ps3 and made some character for the PShome or whatever that is. I went back to play the game and all that happens is it loads with the coin turning at the bottom right, then it goes to the "NaughtyDog" logo and then goes blank at which point nothing I press changes anything and I have to reset it.

I have no idea what happened but right before I went on the internet it worked. Other games work as well.

Any ideas?

I never changed it. I told Sony, they said they'll get back to me.

Killzone 3 with Move? Amazing.

Killzone 3 with Move? I know I won't buy Move, and my old comments with Infrared > Dual anolog sticks would suggest me going ballistic over this announcement, but I am not excited for this at all.

On the other hand, seems like Socom 4 and KZ3 are the battlegrounds of the Sticks vs Pointer battles. I'm just going to play KZ3 with sticks, at least that way, it doesn't feel like I'm playing a potentially rushed game.

My original PS3 died (and resurrected as my GF's PS3), so I can't play PS2 games. This happened right when God of War Collection was coming out, and I wanted to replay them before God of War 3. The HD was nice, but I loved the trophies for the game. I actually did a speed run.

Sadly, my cat dumped a vase of water on the cabinet where the playstation was housed. No water hit it directly, but it has water spots on it. When I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't come on, so I replugged it in, then it came on. I backed up the HDD, and called Sony. Omitting the part about the water, they said it should be fine if it comes on. I'm going to leave it off for a week with hopes it drying per suggestions from the Broom. It would SUCK if I had to replace it. Why couldn't it have hit the Wii instead?

It isn't safe to update the Wii because of the fact that updates kill homebrew.

Yeah I updated my PS3 and it was just fine. Sony knows what they're doing w/ their hardware unlike Ninty who just tries to stop hackers and bricks casual Wiis in the process.
