Heavy Rain demo is AWESOME. ****...

This game basically plays out like a really deeper, more character and plot driven version of Saw from what I gained from the trailer. I had a fist fight already that kept going on and on.

Also, if you pre-order, you get free DLC, so I'll probably pre-order this from Amazon to save $5.

I checked out some of the reviews for Dante's Inferno, and man, that game looks like it has some seriously terrible gameplay issues.

Also, too much gratuitous nudity.

FML! My PS3 just got the red flashing light. From what I read, my PS3's Hard Drive is dead.

I cannot overstate how enraged I am.

No point; I already upgraded my HDD to 250GB. The issue relates to the 60GB model overheating and burning the hard drive.

Plus, I lose EVERYTHING anyway, so might as well get a Slim model. I bought a conversion cable to try and open the hard drive on my desktop. If I can do that, and run some recovery tools, I MIGHT be able to save it, but I'm not hopeful.

Edit: So, Data Rescue 3 is supposed to be able to fix any dead hard drive/get all the info off of it. If this program works, I'll be too happy.

There's no real way to check, and as I stated, it's the PS3 that dies, not the hard drive, but the Hard Drive is collateral.

RAWAR!!!!

So, the PS3 does this REALLY stupid thing where it locks the HDD to whatever PS3 formatted it. So, my dead PS3's HDD works, BUT it only works on the dead PS3. If I put it in the new one, it asks to reformat.

I am going to try the thermal paste repair method, but I need to get some Arctic Silver 5, a Heat Gun, and an External HDD because I am back-up my PS3 Slim's HDD weekly now.

No, far from it. The Gameplay is great.

It is just a game play ripoff of GoW, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a chance.
If God of War is awesome, then a game with the exact same gameplay, but set in Hell should be awesome, too.

AND IT IS.

You travel through all 9 circles of Hell to find your lover.

Kicking *** along the way.

The game looks terrible. It's God of War but ruining the Divine Comedy in the process. No thanks.

Eh, I guess you could kind of argue that it is to the Divine Comedy what God of War is to greek Mythology.

I mean, i haven't played either but it didn't look that bad to me.

If that doesn't work just reformat it. look at it this way, although your losing your data you will at least have a bigger hard-drive than before.

I've not put my PS3 on today, but people seem to be blaming it on the change in month, most of them not realising that it isn't a leap year.

Also, I think only the original models have been hit with it, but I'm not too sure. It best be working for me because I want to play me somes MGO XD.

Sony confirmed that it was due to the clock. It's not a leap year but the PS3 seems to think it is.

Slims wern't affected, so I was in luck trying to get some Killzone 2 trophies, but I give up on that game. Luckily enough the problem was fixed, and I get to enjoy Bad company 2 with more people. Yay.

I've been trying to get a Ps3 for the last week or so, but every store in my area is sold out.

I tried (I'm in Southwest GA, btw):
Bainbridge
Cairo
Thomasville
Tallahassee
Dothan
Albany

I called/went to every store I could, including Best Buy, Gamestop, Walmart, etc. >_>

You'd think that after 3 years out on the market, Sony would have fixed this supply problem. Guess not.

Order it on Amazon. Amazon + Amazon Prime = PS3 for $300 no tax, no shipping.

Darkslash, there are several communities that let you boost trophies (ie you set-up a game, and they help you get the trophies). Cheating and defeating the point? Sure, but online trophies are ********, and the completionist in me needs them to be happy.

I read that Sony was switching some manufacturing to a different company or something. It's supposed to affect PS3 supplies for a bit. Too bad because Sony had a very good December and with Gow and FF coming in the same month they should really be on top of this.

So any ideas as to what the "suprise Sony sequel" could be? I hope it's not a Infamous/Resistance, etc sequel because that's not a suprise, that's expecting. I'd love to see another Legend of Dragoon or at least a new Wild Arms.

I think they just got a shipment; the price two days ago was 360 + free 2 month shipping. XD

I'll try to order one tonight, thanks!

I'm hoping for Sly Cooper 4. But another Legend of Dragoon would be really, really cool too.

Anyone farm trophies?

After I got the platinum on Infamous and Assassin's Creed 2, I realized I played those two games WELL over what I normally would if I didn't go for the trophies. Then, I started doing this on a bunch of games. Now, I am farming all games I can find for platinums, as well as 100% all PSN titles. Some games on my list, I refuse to platinum (DJ Hero requires you to buy additional stuff, so they can go screw themselves) or cannot platinum (Blitz: The League 2's servers are messed up), but I am trying to do it for all the games I own. I am definitely getting a lot more playtime out of my games, as well as finally completing games. I used to get about 70% - 95% through a game, then just quit and never returned.

So, anyone else do it?

I do take some consideration on trophys in the game, but not too much. Normally I focus on getting the trophys in my current game before moving on. Anyway.....

Round Table: Reactions to Sony's Move

Sony finished unveiling its upcoming motion controller-- now christened the PlayStation Move-- at GDC. While there may be a little more shown about the device at E3 2010, GDC had a motherlode of info. Complementing the reveal of the controller's new name and form factor were launch title demos, committed third party developers (36 so far), and an optional, wireless nunchuk-style "Sub-controller." Move is expected to launch in the 2010 holiday season and will be available in at least one retail bundle containing one Move controller, the required PlayStation Eye camera, and a game, for "sub-$100."

During the Move announcement, Sony Computer Entertainment of America marketing SVP Peter Dille noted the Move is "the next generation of motion gaming" and will bring motion control games to folks who "look down their noses at Wii." He also elaborated, "Nintendo has done a great job introducing motion gaming to the masses. We like to think the migration from Wii to PS3 is a pretty natural path." Dille also noted that, going forward, PS3 will have a "dual audience" comprised of social/casual gamers as well as hardcore/traditional gamers.

Thoughts?

While it was cool that they said "Yeah, we did it because Nintendo did, and it'll attract that audience that just wanted motion sensor and maybe they'll try other stuff," but I don't really care.

I hate motion controls SO much.

Double posting for awesomeness: God of War 3 comes out today. This will, hopefully, be the last in the series, and it should end with a solid note. I'm stoked.

As I posted before, I only pre-ordered it because Amazon had a good deal on it: God of War 3 for $56.99 + $10 video game credit + a costume + free release day shipping.

Can't really pass up discounts on a game I want anyway.

Anyone else getting it?

Do you have a capture card?

Also, I probably won't get GoW3. Maybe it's just not my thing, but I played the demo, and I found it quite boring. :ohwell:

I am enjoying FFXIII at the moment though. It's pretty amazing, I have to say.
