Most likely yes. If HDD swapping means any thing, you can have HDD's dedicated to PS2 games. The removal of Backwards compatability is a smart move on Sony's part. Anyone else expecting them to rerelease their PS2 games via Download?
my guess is that they're not gonna even re-release most of the games, even the unheard of, but **** good gamesThe removal of Backwards compatability is a smart move on Sony's part. Anyone else expecting them to rerelease their PS2 games via Download?
Well....whoops...my mistake...seems like the shock as gotten me to jump the gun.Um, the regular price of the PS3 is 299. That's what the big deal has been about.
Legacy? Is that the 60gb model with the Emotion Engine for backwards compatibility?Score! Proud owner of a Playstation 3 Legacy with 320GB.
There is a mode to set the resolution. I'll have to check for it exactly because I run in 1080p.I can't wait until I get around to buying one of these, I could use a Blu Ray player, and this is the best option imo.
Is there still the problem with the resolution resizing the PS3 lacked?
Essentially, thanks to the HANA (i think it was called...) chip in the 360, it could scale its resolution to best match what is needed. If you have an EDTV that's 480p standard but could run in 480i/480p/1080i (I used to own a TV like this, perfect for smash and still had an HD mode), the 360 would be able to run in 1080i, but the PS3 would not be able to and would be forced to run in 480p. The 1080i isn't the standard rez, and was a upscale of 480p, which the PS3 couldn't achieve and things like the 360 or cable boxes could do. So I doubt any new PS3s (havent read up on it in a while) or the new Slim can do this?
Either way, that EDTV broke and all I have is a SDTV atm. I really wanna get a slim ps3 for some games and blu ray, but i feel like its such a waste until I buy a new HDTV lol (or EDTV)

but u can get it now since it's already releasedGetting a PS3 slim September 3rd. Can't wait!
I don't see why it wouldn't run 1080i, unless the PS3 just doesn't support EDTVs.yes, but im wondering if it can do all that on an edtv, or just a 720p or 1080p native hdtv (well not all that, but just 1080i lol)
The Slim is hitting stores September 1 in North America and Europe.but u can get it now since it's already released
But can it seen why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch? The PS3 can run in 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p as well as standard res.
A best buy store in my area is already selling them..... check the stores everywhereThe Slim is hitting stores September 1 in North America and Europe.
I'm not getting a slim. I've got a perfectly good PS3 already.A best buy store in my area is already selling them..... check the stores everywhere
Use the American store. Some people have an account for the American store, Japanese store, AND European store. There are tutorials online.I think I'll grab a PS3 in Christmas [or Black Friday], maybe in a bundle. The only problem for me might be the PSN marketplace, I have a friend that has a PS3 but had to create an American PSN account because this area isn't available. I don't think he has bought anything online but I'd hate to not be able to buy anything from the PSN store. I'd get a PS3 either way but the store is like icing on the cake.
Also, is that one of the girls from SNSD Variola?
Nope, it's IU.Also, is that one of the girls from SNSD Variola?

Ah I see, she's a good singer.
☆ You just love to make things much harder for me to decide huh? Now I have to think what system to choose now.... again. )= ☆There's also a 100 dollar price cut for the 360 Elite. Will it also warrant its own topic?
