I've been out of the Pokemon loop since Gen 3 so I have a question: other than learning moves sooner, leveling up faster and learning moves that aren't learned in stage 2 or 3 are there new benefits to not evolving your Pokemon so soon? Any new stuff I should look out for or be aware of in Y version?

I feel sad for not having Pokemon x or y but one does not buy a console just for one game that all one's friends played and beatin already...
Trying to decide what console I should get. Wii U or 3DS? I can't do that service crap that microsoft does anymore and the xbox one is not looking that great. PS4 grabs my attention but I hate PSN for being a derp.

3DS is great for the entertainment it provides, WiiU is very fun too, but not as practical as a 3DS (but with way more variety).

Also, on both you can use the Virtual Console, which means lots of cheap, good classic games, all safe within your system and with no need of buying more hardware.

When I want to try out a game I know nothing about, I emulate it and not feel disappointed for paying for it.

When I really like it and want to support the company/franchise, I pay for it.

I will decide what console I am getting next weekened when discussed with friends...but if I get a 3DS I WILL have MOONEY laftover for GTA V and thats always nice and stuff plus I plan on getting dark souls 2 which might as well be a belated Bday present.

They're way overpriced if you're considering how much it costs Nintendo to make them available, but they're usually quite the bargain if your only alternative is to somehow buy a physical copy (especially if that game is Earthbound). You're also playing that 20 year old game without having to worry about accidentally bumping into the console and causing the damn thing to freeze, which is always a plus.

It's still a ripoff. Sega released a collection with 49 genesis games on ps3/360 and it was only 20 bucks. Why can't Nintendo be that awesome?
