Praxis has an interesting idea but it's totally outdated because no good G&W player should actually use buffered SH B-air as an approach anyway. That is STRICTLY for punishing.

HOWEVER, G&W's best aerial isn't B-air. It's a tie between U-air and F-air.

I'd say his best aerial is Nair or Dair.

Nair combos, has a super long hitbox, and puts on lots of damage.
Dair changes G&W physics unlike any other character. It fast falls... but then it slow falls... but maybe it wont? You see the mindgames?

when you're high enough sometimes u can slowfall a dair then when it stops ur opponent thinks they can punish it,but then u fast dair lmao xD

It's hard for me to decide his best Aerial. Fair is his best kill move, Bair is great at punishing, Nair has sick juggles, Dair has loads of mobility, and Uair has ungodly control.

Uair/Dair/Nair are tied for the best
Bair and Fair are still awesome aerials, but slightly less so than these three.

Do you guys want me to set up an IRC channel for us?

i have to agree 100% with UTD Zac on his best aerials.

and that IRC channel idea sounds good, or whatever. maybe we can trade each others strategies, and some smart gw will mix them together make it one great big playstyle and gw can start moving up. (:

I say F-air is more practical than G&W's other aerials.

It comes out fast, does a ton of damage that doesn't get SDIed, and is virtually safe on defenses. It should be your main tool for challenging other horizontal spacing games.

U-air however is so godly at setting up juggle traps. If you get it off right, it can lead to Up-smashes quite nicely.

So anyhow if I recall, the best way to combo with G&W's N-air is to land with the 2nd and 3rd hits (which then true combos into D-smash), one trick I discovered to space this is that a buffered fullhop B-air actually spaces N-air to land exactly this way.

I think uair is his best move, and by a good margin. Sets up any other aerial + smashes and allows you to blow away gernades + lengthen the time a character is in free fall.

Up air is fun for screwing people up. There was a video I saw of a G&W up airing Dedede as he was doing his up-B and Dedede flew over the stage and died XD
