Welp, I guess that qualifies me for retired. Maybe we should implement a (hiatus) status, or (on temporary leave).

Just put "meh" next to their names. Sums it up.

There are only 2 actually retired players above C tier, and one of them moved across the country so.....

What does it even matter for people to have "(retired)" next to their names?
for historical reference and to show who pretty much quit playing.

Lmao then idk why Xyro is making it sound like it's an issue
im not making it sound like an issue. i just dont want people teling me "oh im retired" and then 2 months later "dude take retired off my name."

thats extra work for a lazy person like me. i hate it

Meh, retirement is honestly whatever. Even Santi who is legitimately not active in this scene entered this last tourney.

They're just mad right now. They'll very likely enter the next DFW tourney.
santi RARELY enters things.

If you don't plan to play for the next 6 months, go retired. otherwise leave it. it doesnt hurt
boom!

Yeah Zac summed it up. You could seriously take off retired next to almost every name other than the ones who legitimately don't enter anything really anymore. (RoyR, Santi, Ozz, Van Jones etc.)

In my defense, I wasn't the one who advocated putting "retired" next to my name lol

Attention pl0x:
me and my brother have been looking for venues tryin to get a tourney in Tyler going.
Possibly bi-monthlies or something if all goes well.
But we need people who live in the Tyler area (Tyler, whitehouse, lindale) who would be possibly willing to house.
The more housing, the better tournout, the funner tourney, the higher prize money.

So if your in Tyler and don't mind houseing for about a night, feel free to VM me or Labernash.
I know zigsta wants to make it out if someone can house him.
And who wouldn't want to house zigsta?
Let us know, cause we can't house:(

Also note the tourney could take us a month or so to lock in a date and make a thread.
Need to find a venue first off.
But willing people would be fantastic.
Kthxbai.
We should have a Texas GD.

Tyler is in east Texas about 2 hours from Dallas.
You'd rude the unterstate (I20 I believe) down from Dallas to lindale and then about 30 minutes to Tyler.
Though I'm having trouble finding ANY venues at all:(
we have a couple gamestops, but ones in the mall and I'm friends with the manager but he said can't there.
Our mall cops are ridiculous.
and idk about the other one, maybe because of syncs deal they'd be willing to work with us.

Other than that it may not be in Tyler, might be in another city near by.
Idk, we'll see.
But there's a local high school who everyone thinks they're the best at brawl and like none of them have the game.
Could get a big scrubby turn out and crush all their spirits.

But first on the agenda is housing and venue.
Hope all goes well!

Edit: omgomgomg I might of just found a great venue! So pumped!

I'm going to say this before anyone tries to use a Seinfeld analogy to advocate this/explain the individual city boards.
Either Zano, Leaf, or tofer need to be Kramer.
...don't pretend that you all weren't thinking of doing it.

So can people count as retired if they go to every tournament, but only enter doubles and side events?

When's the next update now that I think about it... Nikefest 4, Houston's Gamestop tournament, and I think Fort worth had a tournament or two this month as well.
