Peach is in the same tier as she is in Tier List v7, just higher among the tier. I thought it was commonly understood that placement within a tier is not as important as which tier the character is in.

It isn't that she's better, but rather that they are just worse. Especially Game and Watch. I'd like to say Wolf could be higher, but the logic part of my brain overrides what I'd like to see in the character.

Honestly I would have expected more brash from Sonic's lower placement than Peach's higher placement. I really can't see Peach going anywhere but higher in the future. Never up to C tier, but certainly above Game and Watch at the least.

The past is relevant to the present if were discussing consistency. You cant look at a characters current results and state that they're consistent unless its in relation to whats happened before. Thats especially true when a character is held below what their placements suggests in the past because no ones sure if they can maintain results.

Its why I used both past and current examples, as opposed to say, Sonic and Ike who had their moment of glory then faded away

Seriously Cassio. I want an explanation to why you think Wario sucks on his own. He has a great MU spread vs high and top tiers and wins vs almost everyone below (obviously the exceptions are Peach, Sheik, and Yoshi). The only reason why I could understand this thinking is the next to nonexistent top level representation.

Sorry I did instantly regret using such strong language. In comparison to the cast overall Wario is a great character. What I meant was by now we already know what characters are likely to perform well at nationals and tournaments with top level players.

Ike had a dip due to Ryo quitting for a while and San having TV issues + his local scene dying a fair bit. Ryo is back (just not having his results posted here as usual), San will hopefully be able to travel to farther out tournaments after finals: we ain't dead results wise.

Well, it's up to the TO. BL Tier may actually be allowed in Mid Tier tourneys. Every char in BL tier has some pretty good checks in Mid tier, so I don't see why not...

Pit's great! Also, as I've said countless times, this BL tier thing brings in some needed flexibility. Before, it would look bad if there was a mid-tier tourney but certain mid-tiers were excluded and/or certain high tiers were included, but now, it's totally up to your discretion as a TO.

No, they just have to be renamed. Borderline is stupid, just call it mid, call those 'mid tiers character' low tiers (they're just no good!) and call the low tiers bottom tiers.

Any disadvantageous matchup holds you back by definition of "Disadvantageous." No matter how much of a disadvantage you have, you are fighting an uphill battle the entire way.
