She was the best cause she had really good numbers. Quick recovery, her hitboxes go active a lot sooner then they should too. Once l canceling was figured out everybody became hella fast.

for the people that understand it, instead of saying, 'oh man, his up air came out with a bigger hit box that came out faster and further away from his body than my down air', its just simpler to say, 'oh, his up air, beat/outprioritised my dair.'

You're right. Telling people WHY things happen, instead of just the fact that they happened, is unnecessary. I guess I'm in the minority of people who enjoy learning about why things happens, instead of just blindly *****ing about things they don't understand. for me, priority is just a blanket term that describes range, disjoints, and speed of hitboxes. its not a magical random number system, but in my head zamuss up air still outprioritises a lot of attacks cus its big and fast. not worth getting butthurt over, but to each his own i guess.

I think you guys are just hella overreacting. Sure, pointing out the exact terminology and explaining it all is perfectly fine and I honestly am grateful for it so that now Ill know exactly what to call it, but to basically flip your lid, say everything we all said is wrong, etc just off a technicality that in the end is still pretty much correct is just dumb.

If you are saying priority that alone shows how you are viewing the game, that you actually think moves beat out others just cause there better, when that isn't the case, especially when he already made a video explaining so people can grow from there in how they explain the game. So in actuality I agree with him, cause he took the time to give us something that could help us in explaining how certain things work out in the game

It's annoying to an extent, kinda like people who come in here and still say Falco CG ends in death for characters, or etc. It shows a lack of growth and kinda shows why some of you should never be taken seriously when discussing certain things cause you don't even fully understand the game

Kinda like a rookie trying to tell a pro how to play basketball.

@ Papa: Yep, I have. But i'm being sympathetic. I'd enjoy being able to CG someone if I could and I'd hate to be told I couldn't play my character because of it. Why does no-one understand this? It's like we've all become so obsessed with ourselves that we can't consider a situation from the other point of view. :/

THe problem is that the word "priority" can't be used to explain what's happening even in a simple way because frankly it isn't what's happening.

"Outrange" almost always works better and is actually what's happening. Every time someone uses the word "priority" when they know better, they are spreading misinformation to people that don't. That's the problem.

I guess this is the same case as the term "spike". Everyone knows there are no spikes in Brawl, but it's universally accepted as it sounds much better than "meteor mash". Though in prioritys case this only causes confusion because priority doesn't really exist unless for a few exceptions like MKs aerials and stuff. And MKs aerials would be much better if they weren't transcendent. It's only a weakness in air.
And I totally support using the term "outrange". It makes perfect sense.

Anyway, does 'outprioritized' have any other meaning? If so then yea but if not we can just use that. Honestly it doesn't matter because either way explaining it takes more than 20 seconds (deal with it) and everyone else on the boards currently uses 'priority' to explain these things. Besides, it looks as though people are disputing it for the sake of disputing it because honestly... this is the only place i've seen it raised, especially only in the last few pages and there have been plenty other mentions of priority in this thread.
