I don't think shield SDI is actually possible (OK I'm sure it is, but I've never managed to do it, I just roll).

You just press forward on hit. It's sorta like power shielding with the timing, but it's after the hit and the window to input is bigger. That little extra boost forward can help on grabs. C-stick works too.

i talk about myself alot and I know how I am, but with all honesty I havent been to a tournament in close to 6 months. I am clearly not active. whatever happens at pound, you can name drop me after that, but as of right now, bringing me up in anything aside from 'KID said ______ on (insert smashboards thread)' is willingly taking a big hit to the viability of your opinion.

DDD's also say pika isnt that bad, I think its pretty god awful.

Ill just give a small example of my reasoning on this.

Having played this matchup a good number of times, I can say that honestly, pikachu can not feasibly attack ddd without entering ddds grab range. If he can make a good read and get in on ddd, he can juggle him for days, but ddd should be winning so many more of the neutral position encounters just by grabbing preemptively.

Jeez, it's not like Dedede, ZSS and Pikachu are below average characters. How hard is it to find occurences of decent mains playing each other?

But we do still have a few MKs, Diddys, Snakes, ICs, etc., but almost everyone stuck with their original character from the beginning, so we have a good amount of diversity.

Well, there are a lot of people better than me here. Saying i could be top 10 is a bit of a stretch, and if I am, only barely.

Yea right I remember early 2010 me and Yaz' MK teamed and were in grand finals.....it's

lol Yay. After seeing that thread by ripple, I was surprised by how many MKs there were. Out of about ~500, ~85 were MK. Then the rest of the characters were spread out sort of evenly. There will always be more of any character than you realize.

I think ICs wins this match-up, or I did.

I was talking to NR about it last night and he gave me a few tips and I can see where he's coming from.

The big thing is, grabbing Nana is really easy because she doesn't spot dodge until X amount of frames after Popo, so ICs are pretty easy to grab and thus separate and juggle (ZSS IS really good at keeping them apart).
