...It aims to sell 1.150m? I thought Monster Hunter was a huge franchise. Why is it looking to sell less than ARMS?
It's about MH Stories 2, not Rise. Apparently Capcom is taking notes from other success stories from this generation for it.

I don't think I'm following what you're saying...

but yes, I would adore a Rhythm Heaven Warriors game.
Without the extra R at the end, it looks like you're saying Wario's games don't need to be crossovers. But they still cross over with another series the devs make. I'm just making a joke.

Smash 4 Sold Over 10 Million Copies (I think it was at around 13-14 Million)
Either way, those sales don't tell us how many people bought both the 3DS and Wii U versions.

I've mentioned before that its a pity there's such antipathy between Koei Tecmo and Capcom because the latter has so many franchises that would be awesome for a Warriors game. Mega Man and its sub series are obvious ones, but Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry?

There's loads of potential great games there that will likely never happen.

Next Nintendo Warriors game should be from Xenoblade or Kirby. Maybe Kid Icarus too, but from that is better that Koei took the IP and give them a Ni-OH approach (or Murasame Castle too)

I'd prefer a Kid Icarus MOBA to a Warriors game.
I think Kid Icarus would work better as a Warriors game a MOBA would be neat too. (If aesthetically similar to Smite but that does not matter)

I do think that if there were to ever be a Smash Mobile game it would be a MOBA, It wouldn't try to compact Smash's gameplay to a format that doesn't fit it and can be a unique experience from whatever console smash would be out at the time

I don't think a Kirby Warriors game would work out all that well. Either a lot of the characters would be Kirby, or Copy Abilities wouldn't be a thing, and I kinda doubt they wouldn't do anything with Copy Abilities.
I can think of a way to make copy abilities work, Say that You are playing as Kirby and the enemy commander is a Sir Kibble Kirby can use one of their attacks which is inhale to inhale the sir Kibble and then Kirby gains cutter, It wouldn't work for all enemies just commanders and captains.

Smite is exactly what I had in mind.
I just thought it would be more fun if in the context of Kid Icarus.
...because Nintendo is awesome.

Really speaking though given the cast of many of Nintendo's IPs you could make a Warriors out of any of them.

I'd love to see a Donkey Kong Warriors. Either that or just add Donkey Kong characters like DK himself, Diddy, Dixie, and King K. Rool into a Mario Warriors game.

"In which Kirby grows big enough to SWALLOW THE UNIVERSE."
Isn't he already able to do that?

Great, now that I brought this up... I really want to see it happen.

Which is more powerful- to roll, or to swallow?
Ultimately, in the end, we learn that there is only one answer.
Sushi.

So after reading all of this what do you think Rayman's chances are of being in Smash?

Does anyone have a general idea of Rayman's sales/reputation in Japan. That feels like one of the bigger possible impediments given that even that audience was familiar with Banjo and the really Western centric characters like Little Mac and Ridley were in the base game.

I'd say pretty decent, though I think the anniversary not on point 5 is looking a bit too deep and point 11 is a bit too subjective to mean anything. That being said, I can't really say the "obvious" choices are a lock after everything that's happened (Resident Evil getting Spirited, Banjo coming before the bigger and more "relevant" Steve, etc.)

Then again, at this point I've pretty much given up on trying to make precise predictions and have just decided to stick to supporting my most-wanteds and cracking jokes. Who am I to say?

Somewhere out there on this big blue marble
Despite having played a lot of Rayman on the GBA and both versions of Rayman 3 and enjoying what little I played of my Legends copy, I'm kind of eh on Rayman, I'd need a moveset to really wow me and I know Sakurai is a COWARD who wouldn't make Rayman based around the beartrap hookshot power up in 3

The biggest blunder against Rayman's chances imo is that his games have flopped hard in Japan. A prime example is both the original version of Rayman Legends as well as the definitive edition 5 years later which both had really poor debuts.

Also Assassin's Creed exists which is a much bigger and more popular franchise around the world as a whole. I'm not too confident on Altair or Ezio getting in though they definitely give Rayman some competition in the Ubisoft department.

Plus with us getting a plethora of Ubisoft costumes along with Byleth, there's a possibility that those will be the most we see from Ubisoft since they could've released those costumes with Rayman.

If Assassin's Creed and the Rabbids alone only got Mii costumes. That alone warrants Rayman's death sentence for being among the final 4.

I'm pretty sure Rayman's biggest issue is that he's not that popular in Japan. Competition with Crash Bandicoot for the platforming rep doesn't help matters.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Crash wasn't talked much at at all in terms of Smash Speculation until the N Sane Trilogy was announced/came out, whereas Rayman has been requested for Smash since like since 2014/2015.

Even if it's true that the Assassin's Creed is the bigger franchise overall, I'm 100% confident that Rayman is the more frequently requested Ubisoft character in terms of being included in Smash, in comparison to characters like Ezio. Plus, Rayman fits the personality of Smash way more.

That implies that only the biggest series that a company has to offer can get their characters in, which is very untrue.
