So if we take 100 days into account. Guess we'll be skipping June next year.

FP8: January 2021
FP9: April 2021
FP10: July 2021
FP11: October 2021

If a double reveal for July though then it ends earlier.
It really depends on if E3 actually happens next year or something similar to it. If it does then June is a lock, if not then it could be July or August.

I also think that if these are the last 4 characters with nothing left, they’ll only announce one character in the summer & save the final for the fall. If we got more, they could do a double reveal & then reveal more is coming in 11’s presentation.

Haven't played a Tales game yet (I plan to rectify that soon with Vesperia) so I don't have any strong opinions on what character they could choose, but I really dig the design for Arise's protagonist and think he'd be neat.

He looks sick, as does Arise. Maybe they should save the Tales rep for the next Smash so he can get in & not be a shill pick lmao

Somewhere out there on this big blue marble
The anime already has a website of its own and the director of the original game has linked to the teaser site.
Ok then yeah that's worth keeping an eye on. Can't believe how good I'm eating this month with all this Ace Attorney stuff and now this assuming it's TWEWY 2 after all the build up

Not to damper your expectations but remember what happened with Travis Touchdown given the announcement of the third game. Yeah.
It's not like every character with an upcoming game is going to get into Smash but that doesn't mean it's not a bonus. Bar Banjo (and Terry if you don't count The King of Fighters), every DLC character we got were from active franchises.

I don't think Neku getting in depends on a soon-to-be-announced game but given how TWEWY is making a come back, it might have an easier time getting into Nintendo's radar.

So yeah, people shouldn't take this as a sign that Neku is coming but we shouldn't write off the effect of recency just because of Travis.

Neku can benefit because he's got the Dream Drop Distance 3D model to use, since this DLC cycle they like to port models from existing games

So know what day of the week this is again everyone!

Yup that's right! Spirit Time!

What'll be? Could we be getting a deconfirmation today?
I mean, judging by how people have been going "who's gonna get disconfirmed this time?!" every single week only to see no new Spirits for the past few months?

Probably no.

Age of Calamity come out Next Week. Perhaps we could get a spirit Even with more AOC Exclusive Spirits this week or Next week, since I believe there's been times were we've had 2 Spirit Events 2 weeks in a row

Edit: Or wait, does it Come out this week?

Edit Again: It does come out this week. We could get Age of Calamity Spirits this week

Meanwhile...

with how much attention TWEWY has been getting I have more faith in Neku getting in by the day
The last time we had a TWEWY Countdown it was for the IOS port so i'm not getting my hopes up. but I will keep my eye on it.

Oh baby, a double. Next week might be the official week that people can start begging for CP8 assuming Nintendo doesn't shadowdrop something.

I can't tell if you're serious or joking but I'm sure he'd get hit by "every character younger than Wii is a shill pick" either way.
Half joking. I think the game/character looks cool enough where I wouldn’t be mad if he were to happen even if his game is new. But there’d be so many people crying about it being a shill pick lol

I think everyone is sort of on the same mindset that Nintendo’s marketing team is on when it comes to Smash now. I only see a couple people expecting anything before the Game Awards or January.

I think it's because it's not been that long since Steve and Alex's reveal.

Like, even if it wasn't for TGA, I wouldn't expect a Smash reveal this early.

I just realized that, of the non-echo newcomers, we don't have a lot of "anime swordsmen", and of those who are, they're all DLC and only one of them isn't stretching the definition: :ulthero:.
  • :ultjoker: uses a dagger.
  • :ultbyleth: doesn't use his sword for his attacks too often, even less so as an actual sword.
  • :ultsteve: isn't really anime, and even if he were, it would be a similar case to Byleth in which he doesn't use his sword too often.
  • I decided not to include echoes due to how little effort to require compared to a non-echo.
    • That's not to say they don't take time and resources; rather, it's to say they don't take a whole lot of them.
    • Even if I did include echoes, it would only add 1 more "anime swordsman" (:ultchrom:) to the count.
...we also only got 6 newcomers that arent echoes, in the base.
So I'm not sure how strong of a point you are making.
Meanwhile, the FP1 had two anime swordsman. So, we paid extra in advance for 2/5 characters to still be anime swordsman.

On the DLC Newcomers in FP2

It seems alot of the Effort for FP2 Characters is going mostly towards the Balancing and Implementation. Min-Min did have to get some cool new Animations, but Steve was easy to animate apparently

It just goes to show that even when you can just take the Model from the Home game, and there's ease of Animation, it still takes long time. Probably also because The Team working on FP2 might be Skelton crew of even FP1, which is Skelton Crew of Base Game Development

Reminder that people who speak up their opinions are only a minority of the fanbase, so using those as a way to represent Ultimate's audience of 20+ million people is pretty much a gamble.

It could be a majority opinion, but we really have no way to know.
You could say this after any single post in the forum and be accurate. I'm not sure what the goal is by posting it, here.

Smash 4 Sold Over 10 Million Copies (I think it was at around 13-14 Million)

The Total Number of Votes on the Official Smash ballot was only 1.8 Million, and that was with Nintendo's Attention, and also probably a lot of Revote and Such. Technically that would make everyone that voted on there the Minority

So we're like a Super Minority.

Since we were discussing both RPGs and Capcom leaks a short while ago I thought this might be interesting to bring up:
...It aims to sell 1.150m? I thought Monster Hunter was a huge franchise. Why is it looking to sell less than ARMS?
*14. He's counting DLC as well.

Not entirely sure where his thought process is going either, but I thought it was relevant anyway.
Pardon, I meant in base game. He started off by stating 'none in base game.' Which is why I made a point to mention, 'you're right! None of a base game, yet somehow, still almost half of the paid DLC...'

Regardless, I do think 1/7 is still a lot, for something as specific as 'anime swordsman,' wherein one trailer went as far as to joke about how many are already in the game. For comparison, Smash is a fighting-platformer game, and we have 1/7 of the newcomers as fighting game characters- with only 1 of the 70 previous characters having been a fighting game character.
No, they tried to argue a musou game doesn't need to be a crossover.
Not sure if that's just as or more stupid considering that the Dynasty Warriors series is a series that exists and is quite popular, hence the Nintendo spin-offs.
....well, obviously the Warriors games dont need to be crossovers, given that the one that comes out this week isn't a crossover.
I think that is what I.D. I.D. was saying, with which I agree. It's also... a fact.

You're saying it like it's a bad thing. :4bayonetta:
No need to cut off my toe to make that shoe fit.
