If we're doing Pokemon, I want Aggron. I dunno, I just want a proper kaiju rep. Being the big monster isn't really Bowser's thing.

"Chunk" wouldn't be Engrishy at all for Minecraft. Its worlds are said to be divided into chunks.

Those seem like the safest bets. Or something like "spetshacka" (pickaxe) (watch them actually put in the ä when it's not really neccessary so the codename becomes "svärd").

That said, you're right: Byleth's codename being Master sounds so engrishy anime I can hear the potential scenario where Three Houses' an anime and someone calls out "MASTAH BYLETTTOO!"

It all boils down to how open Nintendo is to grey area characters. Seeing as I don't work at Nintendo, I can't say for sure. Not like it would affect my potential Geralt writeup, assuming I ever get to that.

I think this is the first time starting with Hero that there wasn't a themed tournament released with the DLC character.

Are Meowth's ears really that big? Marill or Victini probably would've been the better Pokemon spirit to use for this event.

Hopefully the patch notes come out directly, so people can choose to spend the probable downtime reading that (it'll be in somewhat vague language because Nintendo never gives out specific value changes unlike Valve, Riot etc.).

I will say that Apex Legends unlike most BR games does have distinct characters so it's got that going for it.
Then again, we're 4 hours away from getting Minecraft's playable avatar who'd only backstory is that he got his clothes off a zombie so who's to say?

If CP8 passes and no dice, I'm pulling the plug on Pokemon, at least for SwSh. We'd have gotten two DLC packs and a Spirit Event. If Nintendo wanted a Pokemon rep, they'd more than likely add them around this time.

I agree. Byleth was released 6 months after Three Houses & right before the final DLC. We’re now almost a year out from Sw/Sh with the final DLC about to come out & nothing.

I’m also starting to think that they could’ve just added a Sw/Sh Pokemon into FP1 if they wanted to promote it in Smash. Just like they did with Byleth. People wouldn’t have been happy, but it’s Pokem

However, if we do get a new remake next year I could see that getting some Smash love. That’d probably go over a lot better since they could pick a popular Pokemon with lots of nostalgia attached to them.

I think Strider is a unique situation where the manga & game were planned together, the manga just came out first. I would definitely count him as a video game character. It’s similar to what happened to Lucario with his movie appearance coming before his game debut.
