The only reason Table doesn't really place in socal is because socal is hard to place in, don't feel bad p-4. Table might of been slightly more prepared than you might have been. no shame, he's made improvements recently.

To be fair towards both of you:

1) Table is good and will go very far the way he's going. He took a game off me in a couple of good friendlies we played iirc. There's nothing to be ashamed of or be upset about after losing a few friendlies to him. Also, he's right in his stance on stage control vs spacing. It's something that I feel I personally need to work on.

2) Friendlies should really never be taken that seriously. I mean, they're called friendlies for a reason lol. Wait until you guys play in tournament before coming on the boards and bringing up who beat who how badly.

Noooo you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. I was just saying that stage control is more important, and citing an example of what I noticed from you. Like you have good spacing (like the spacing of your attacks), but, no offense, your stage control isn't very good (by that I mean where you put yourself in relation to your opponent and the stage to limit the opponent's options).

I wasn't putting you down; I was using that as an example for why stage control is really important, and why it's, imo, more important than spacing for MK. I'm sure you play better in tournament, although the stage control thing is a flaw I'd noticed from watching you play in tournament, and from talking to Zekey who beat you in tournament, and from playing you in friendlies.

I don't take friendlies that seriously either, atleast not winning-wise. There's no better opportunity to try new stuff than in friendlies, and stage control is one of those things that you can work on somewhat even while on auto pilot.

I'm not trying to project you as a bad player, I'm just trying to help out this community a bit without completely telling everyone how stage control works and why it's so important because they'll understand better if they learn on their own.

@Gnes: Stage control and spacing are similar, imo, but should be classified as different things. They're both positioning based, but involve different things. That's just my opinion, though; maybe you have a different opinion on spacing vs stage control.

Although about friendlies. Taking friendlies super seriously isn't a great thing to do, but you can play to learn and have fun in friendlies.
