Well, I quit GW for IC's because I felt like GW was limiting me. He's very transparent and it's obvious what he excels at and how to abuse his weaknesses in matches. His room for improvement entirely relys on smart people playing him and getting the most out of reads. At whobo I beat tyrant in tournament with GW on his counterpick, but I lose to random people with GW all the time lol. The reason I beat tyrant with GW on his counterpick is because I know how to use gw reaaaaallllyyy well on that stage. I feel like this will be the common trend with GW, people getting good with him for either doubles or stages like Rainbow Cruise/Brinstar. As a main he is a pretty lacking character because his worst match-ups appear so often in tournaments.

Most of the good GW players have strong secondaries, so I would suggest getting good with a character that helps with your hard match-ups if you main him. General advice for the character..hmm..lots of nair and uair lol. Stay under people as much as possible.

Really you should just watch Vinnie/UTD Zac for GW.

Sonic!!! I have been saying since 2008(and people have been laughing at me until mlg dallas lol) that sonic has a lot of options in almost any situation and this alone makes him better than most characters. I would love to see him move up .

I've had lots of mains!! In 08 mainly I went from main to main. My first main was Samus, who I got 5th with at Hobo1. Other than those three I've mained: Diddy, Falco, Snake, Marth, MK and secondaried quite a few others like Toon link and Ike as well. I've done pretty well in tournament with all of them(I won tournaments with almost every character I mained) but that was in 08 when everyone sucked lol. Right now my best 3 characters are probably, IC's/Falco/MK.

Well favorite would be Oot just for nostalgic purposes. Other than that though it's really hard to decide between Majoras Mask and Wind Waker. I feel like both have a ton of replay value and I liked the stories in both. Loooovvveeeedd the music in them as well which is a big reason.

I don't think too much about stuff like that, won't change anything. There's obviously a ton of things IC players can improve on though, I don't see it stagnating any time soon.

What are your thoughts on the Lucas match up? o_o

I think it's pretty easy for IC's and a bad match-up for lucas. I have a lot of lucas experience because of FAE and he hates playing my IC's, last time we played he actually tried going mk lol and I've never seen him use mk on anyone else in tournament, even DK's(who have a cargo infinite on lucas).

Lucas is too gimmicky and IC's can just shield most of his stuff and grab him pretty easily.

How long have you been Admin? How did you get this?

Hmm...time always jumbles together with things like this but I would say I've been an admin maybe around...10-11 months? I was made a mod in 2008 and modded to like 40 boards at once(everything brawl related). Most mods just getting modded to one or two boards but JV dumped 40 on me lol which I didn't mind because I was super active in all discussion at that time. I did a really good job with that so in 4-5 months they made me a super mod. About 6 months after that they had applications for staff positions and I applied for admin and they accepted and here I am.

First tournament experience?

Well my first tournament experience was a melee tournament in 2003 at a gamestop. I got 2nd to my friend who got 1st. A couple a months later we went to 3GCI which was huge(like 200 people) and we both got dead last lol. That made me start practicing melee a lot and I really got into the scene.

Favorite Tournament Experience?

This is a hard one. As far as people go, it's definitely when I met Rauleen at NK3. It was a horrible tournament but she made my weekend amazing and I was super interested in her. As far as actual tournaments go I would say COT4. Flew up there with Dojo and Santi and met Lee Martin at a layover and we just had a ton of fun. Great bonding experience .

Hmm it's REALLY really really hard to break past that wall. I was in that position sort of, I felt like my skill had capped with GW and I was always beating the same players and losing to the same ones. What I did was switch to IC's, and I started placing lower for about a year but it really payed off in the end, I don't feel like I would be as good as I am now if I had stayed GW. The solution isn't always switching characters though, it's different for every person and that's why this is such a hard question to answer. You really just have to either try playing other characters, try playing with a different group of people, THINK about the game a lot..like when you aren't doing anything just think about situations and how you would respond to them, and practice a lot. Somewhere in there you will find the way to break past that wall. You also have to remember other people get better as well so you can't get too discouraged if it feels like you aren't progressing.

If you could change anything about the Smash Scene, what would it be?

Hmm, it's hard to say. I don't feel things like that should really be messed with, I will take everything as it is . The only thing I would change if I could would be to get someone to sponsor smash like mlg did but not drop it .

I used to play DDR competitively, but I'm super rusty and pretty bad at it now compared to before. I've dabbled in mvc2 but for the most part everything else has just been casual. I would like to play Starcraft 2 competitively but I really don't have the time to get good enough to. I'm in diamond and decent but I really just can't put that much practice time in to get to a tournament level.

Depends. I changed 2 pokemon on my team and I think it's a lot better now, but if you EV train and stuff I'm sure you would lol.

Yes! I like teaming with a bunch of different people, I still haven't teamed with you so I need to. I've asked you a couple of times but you always have partners lol.

No worst disney movie lol..just can't do that. Also can't do a best, but I love Lion king/Aladdin

Depends. I'd rather live where I could be with rauleen lol. I've lived in texas my whole life and think it's nicer to live there, but I like experiencing new things so this has been fun. If I moved again it probably wouldn't be to texas, I'd want to try like Cali or florida or something like that.

What level of a player do you think you are?

Hmm that's hard to answer. When I'm playing my best I feel like I can go even with anyone except like jason/ally lol, but normally I would say there is like jason/allys level then the other top players level, and I think I'm right under that. Hard to explain :/.

How much room to improve do you have?

A TON! I really love IC's because I can always tell what I need to improve on, I couldn't tell at all after a certain point with GW. I still notice a lot of mistakes I make that I need to iron out.

What's your goal at the next tournament you go to? At the next national tournament you go to?

My goal at the next tournament I go to is 1st. Next national I'd like to place in the money, or really just pull a lot of upsets. Regardless of that if I feel like I played to the best of my ability I'm happy at any tournament no matter what place I get. I hate it when I play really good and then really bad and then really good all in the same day just gets me frustrated.

How good is my character?

Midish. Not horrible but doesn't excel in much really.

How good is YOURS?!

I think IC's lose to some pretty random characters but do really well against most of the cast including the top tiers so I would say a really good character, right under the ones that dominate tournaments usually.

How good is MK and should he be limited/banned?

Best character in the game. He should be limited if you want him legal because his glitches(idc/edc) and stalling abilities might overcentralize the game. It just comes down to opinion. If you want him banned or if you want him limited so he can stay in. I personally don't think mk is that bad and don't see why people would want to ban him.
