2. Shield and punish, if he just running at you and dash attacking then F-tilt him away, SH Aerials will work oo.
3. Shield and punish again.
five moves really limits it...What are the five most useful moves you use including grabs? (Please answer seriously) For example, please don't say: down taunt!!@1111oneoneone lolololol
I don't expect one person to answer all of these. If someone can answer just one I'd appreciate it, though the more the merrier, obv.So he DI'd?
Questions: In the MK frame data thread it was suggested that the total ending + landing lag of a Nado is always the same unless MK does the belly-flop landing. Is this true? Also, what are all the characters that are devestated by planking? What are all the characters that are devestated by planking on PS1?
That's what I meant by "devestated": forced into a bad position with predictable options. On PS1 some characters are really devestated, though, I think. Not many characters are "devestated" by planking itself, but rather when you plank, many characters have very few options which allows you to predict and punish them for trying to stop your plankfest. Like, say Wolf wants to stop you. He has few things he can do. If he tries to Perfect Shine you, he will fall straight down. The minimal knockback from the move will allow you to edge hog his crappy recovery. This means he'll probably try the predictable jump off to Bair to get you off which allows you to cut him off in any number of ways such as a dair chain. It's hard to make a full list of everyone who gets put in a bad position by planking.
just shieldit and keep on going, or you can jump over it and punish the cooldown lag. or CP to someone with a reflectorthanks can anyone help me with kirbys up+b though
http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=206194five moves really limits it...
but it would probably be:
fair
f-tilt
up+b
d-smash
dair
oh and theres a thread on mk's moves in ranked order somewhere around here...
edit: my bad for dbl post didnt see it -.-
Watch M2K vs Azen from C3 ECRC.Advice for fighting Lucario?
it seems i cant play my normal spacing game do to his average speed smashes and attacks. and they have just as much range, or more range then my attacks, so i cant normally use Ftilt spacing w/o being possibly attacked and pressured backed with a Foward smash.
any advice would be awesome, thanks
Powershield lasers, Space with tilts, Tornado his Side-B, etc...I got a question...
How the hell do you beat IC, Diddy, and Falco?
For some reason i can't seem to be able to beat them. I lost a tourney I went to recently just cause I had to play 2 falcos in a row, one in the winners bracket, one in losers, and it was really irritating. >_>
Hahahaha. He let you Omnigayicide? Any idea how many seconds it is? I know I can go and check, and I will if you don't get back to me... but I'm lazy.Yessirr.
Although Santi always throws his immediately.
I've only done it once to him. But he had the port. XD
I'm pretty sure it was like 4 days ago. No?Like a week or 2 ago
Wow...Dojo didn't just GET IN to the SBR. Dojo CREATED the SBR. Before the Smash boards even existed. He's also been known to destroy fine Chinese pottery without caring, and even been known to subdue wild polar bears in Texas with nothing but a glare.
Dojo has also fought Batman, Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee all at the same time and the only mark he has is one scar. That scar is from when he bent down, picked up a rock and slammed it into his own face and dragged it along his face with full force just to intimidate them. That's how manly Dojo is.
This is all true. Especially the part with the 2 fine *** girls in the bathro- wait... wrong forum, my bad.Dojo didn't just GET IN to the SBR. Dojo CREATED the SBR. Tap Jump ONok quick question here TAP JUMP on/off?
and what are the benefits and downsides of one and another
I do these consitently with tap jump OFF. Indeed, I would jump when I didn't want to sometimes during a uair string with tap jump on. I set Z to jump and Y to grab, though.Tap Jump ON
U-air strings and Shuttle Loops out-of-shield are serious business.
its official we found someone stronger that chuck norrisDojo didn't just GET IN to the SBR. Dojo CREATED the SBR. Before the Smash boards even existed. It's a bad idea because it limits your options.i also have a question dumb but still a question anyone ever main mk using a wiimote sideways?
well i use it like that ive never really tried it with gc controller i might as well learn sometime and see if my game improves but i think i play rather well as isIt's a bad idea because it limits your options.
I hearby rename dojo to Lord Dojo le Diego de la vega. The Spanish sex god of doomits official we found someone stronger that chuck norris![]()
GOD NO, it is just horrible. only plus side is that it is easier to perform IDC and that glitch is just ********i also have a question dumb but still a question anyone ever main mk using a wiimote sideways?
agreed, IMO tap jump ON is much more easierTap Jump ON

Actually, you can better control you uair strings with tap jump OFF. It would be harder to control it if you don't do something like make Z jump like I do.I prefer tab jump off
you can better conrol your uair strings in the air
if tab jump is off its harder to control it
I don't conserve Dsmash as often as most MKs. First of all, if you use Dsmash early into a stock, it's not unlikely you'll get 9 attacks in before KOing anyway, especially since forward tilt counts as 3 attacks. Secondly, MK has four good kill moves: Fsmash, Dsmash, Shuttle Loop, and Nair. Even if you completely ignored stale move negation, consider how many of these attacks will really be in the last 9 attacks. Using dsmash doesn't "just decay" it; it hits your opponent for 11% and comes out in 5 frames, which is unprecidented. Usually, when it's time to KO, at least Dsmash, SL, or Nair is fresh; you just have to know which one it is and be prepared to Fsmash if all of them are decayed. That said, I don't just ignore the fact that stale move negation exists, and I avoid using all three of his best kill moves late into my opponent's stock, unless they're a character that I'm going to be KOing with gimps anyway. The reason I am less conservative with my KO moves in certain matchups is because I'm going to be gimping for the KO anyway.I'm starting to get to the point where I conserve my dsmashes for kills in nearly every matchup. I've been wondering...is this necessarily a good thing? Is it ever advantageous to use dsmash when your opponent isn't in kill percentages? The glide attack --> dsmash maneuver seems to be popular, but it's so predictable, and most times, it just decays your dsmash. I've been thinking about this for a while, and I was wanting your opinions on this.
Thanks in advance for the replies, by the way![]()
