I got a Hurricane III in my victory pack.....but then I got an Eagle II in my commendation pack. The Ex-Cerberus Vanguard is really good though.

I'm not surprised. All we have right now is multiplayer and it seems like it'll be a while before the Extended Cut comes out so there just isn't much to talk about right now.

This week's balance changes will be delayed so they won't be posted today. We're working on getting them out as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience!

As a preview of the changes, we are making balance changes (buffs only) to Sentry Turret, Combat Drone, and some weapons including the Arc Pistol.

I'm glad the arc pistol is getting a buff. I still doubt it will be that great even after the buff but whatever. Also buffs to the sentry turret and combat drone is nice.

Squad Goal: Extraction on any difficulty with the squad using a mix of krogan, vorcha, or batarian classes

Squad Goal Success: Squad awarded a Commendation Pack

True, but this looks like it should be a really easy objective to meet. Good thing I Level 20'd my Vorcha Soldier. Time to make my Reegar + Flamer build get some good use. Though I wish after putting Range on it, that I put Duration too instead of damage kinda.

The use of the words "mix" and "or" are throwing me off.

The way the squad goal works is that ALL members of the squad must be either Krogan/Batarian/Vorcha. If any person in the squad is playing as a race other than those 3, then the match does not count for the squad goal. However, you don't need full extraction. Also the match can do be done on any difficulty. Also you can technically solo this as well. Chris Priestly said you can solo the match as long as your character is Krogan, Batarian, or Vorcha.

For the community goal, you can be whatever race you want to be.

So, I never noticed this before, probably since I'm a PS3 owner and can't play Mass Effect 1, but I've been watching that "Mass Effect 1 the movie" type thing, and after Eden Prime when Shepard and Anderson are talking about stuff from the beacon, they pretty much like spell out the whole Crucible type thing, which was pretty surprising to happen that early on in the series.

Something between I think 5:10 and 5:45. It's not as much of a flat out definition as I thought, but it's certainly enough to make me think they planned the Crucible thing from the start.

That's pretty much just the entire motivation for ME1. Starts off as a out of the ordinary mission and ends up on a galaxy saving quest, thanks to the beacon.

I think its because that's when Tactical cloak might be nerfed. Failing the operation doesn't matter since the victory pack doesn't contain an N7 weapon. Getting the commendation pack is easy, though.

Edit: oh snap EC coming on tuesday!!!! Yeah I guess that's why Odin posted that then. Also its funny that I can't go on Bioware Social Network after this news comes out, I guess the forums are flooded or something.

You never played ME1 at all yet you played ME2 and 3?! Go and buy it, its like 10 or 20 bucks.

How's the gameplay compared to ME3's? I played through the derelict reaper mission a few days back and had to get used to ME2's gameplay, so is ME1's gameplay good? I know the story is very well done but I'm not sure about the gameplay. Its probably solid though.

I think its funny that even though I didn't play ME1 and barely knew who Saren was by the time I reached ME3's end, the Green option I was presented with sounded abomidable to me. I literally said "I've been fighting cyborg zombies the whole game. How's this any different--I'm not falling for this S***."

If a certain theory is right however, then it doesn't matter that I saw one trap since I reluctantly chose the other.

ME1's gameplay is pretty good. Its not quite as polished as ME2, but I enjoyed it a lot. Plus guns and armor have more customization.

You know, if anybody could find a way to make 360 games work and save on a PS3 and NOT crash so that ME1 could be played on it, that would be wonderful. Though...I'd likely never try it on my own for fear of screwing up everything.

ME1's gameplay is terrible. Up until just before ME3 was released I was the only person I knew, out of about six, that had actually managed to complete it because everyone else hated the terrible gameplay. As of right now I know tons of people that have completed ME2 and 3, but only one or two other people that have completed ME1. If you're there for the story, which is absolutely fantastic btw, you'll be able to overcome the gameplay. Thing is it's radically different from ME2 and 3, it's like a night and day difference, but if you stick with it for like the first 3rd of the game you'll probably overlook most of the faults and get used to it.

Anyway, speaking of the EC which will be here within the next few hours: I just realised that the playthrough I'm doing is going to cut out a lot of it. I'm doing my all-female-kinda-renegadey-no-male-loyalty-missions-completed playthrough and because of that the first time I see the EC will be pretty strange.

Nope. Turned me off sniping until ME3 Multiplayer proved me that they, imo, fixed it, lol.
