Fun fact: Galaxy = about 115,000 light years in diameter.

even at 20 times the speed of light most of these remaining people would not survive to get anywhere close to their home planets. a few like the asari might live long enough to make it to a close habitable planet over a few hundred light years but they would not have the supplies to last such a trip.

Another note. Mass relays blowing up all over the galaxies are bound to have an impact. Waves of energy are now flowing over the galaxy with untold destructive power.
Let's not forget that it's already ESTABLISHED CANON IN THE GAMES that a Relay being destroyed will ERADICATE the system it's in.

Which means............................................................................

EVERYBODY DIED.

SO VICTORIOUS AND UPLIFTING.

It's why the Relays are thought to have overloaded, rather than exploded from impact like in Arrival. Even in the destroy ending it shows that the explosions are different as Earth is still there, which it most certaintly would not be if it was an Arrival like explosion.

Information on FTL travel from the series also shows that it's possible to make it to nearby clusters in just a few months, being stranded in the Sol system isn't a possibility.

Plus like I said, even with the Geth there which would help even more, they could be about 2 years away from a technological breakthrough which surpasses the Mass Relays. They could be 200 years away from it, but they could also just be 2 years, the whole existence of the Geth shows that their are other alternatives to Reaper tech.

the geth are dead.

I can't believe you are talking so much about the game and it's ending when you haven't played through to it yourself. Why would you do that?

Yeah, but in Destroy, they have the Reapers themselves to study. In Synthesis and Control, they STILL have the Geth to study, and at the very least the ones on Rannoch for the Quarians to look into.

The explosions are shown from the frakkin' Galaxy map!

Surely, you can't believe that everything is hunky dory?

I remember reading about this. People are making it a bigger deal than it needs to be. You can't get any lawsuits out of that. It's just filing a complaint that the FTC will have to look into. More than likely, it'll be a slap on EA's wrist.

Though there's proof the the explosions aren't the same as the Arrival one, hence Shepard waking up in London. That makes me think it's less of an explosive shockwave, and more of an energy pulse, seeing as though we know it can change things on a molecular level.

You know you're bad when you make the insane FFVII Fanboys look decent.

Now do you know what I mean? People want to sue Bioware, say it's ruined everything and the company needs to collapse, and compare it to getting their mothers *****. Telling them that they're overreacting and that none of their whining is constructive falls on deaf ears.

It's an inconsistency. A glaring inconsistency.

Yeah, but its one person doing the lawsuit. Its not like 90% of the fans are trying to destroy Bioware or something.
Yeah, I don't get why someone is suing. O_o That's way too extreme.

Also, Xanthan, I'll be on later. That was a good last round we had. :) Feels good man.

Good games, Odin. I was doing pretty bad with the Vanguard sadly. I'm trying to get better with that class. Was still a lot of fun playing. Also the Drell Adept's heavy melee is surprisingly powerful and fast.

Technically it would only be an inconsistency if every relay was destroyed by massive trauma from an external force. Which they weren't.

Did you miss the part where a GIANT LASER SHOT INTO THE RELAY CAUSING IT TO EXPLODE AND SHOOT INTO OTHER RELAYS!!??[/SIZE]

What's your setup? I'm working on mine, and I'm trying to find a good Drell Adept setup for Reave. It's tricky, and I don't wanna mess it up. :x

Got to the end now. You actually see the energy wave pass over Earth, and it's fine, so it was an energy pulse like I thought.

Now that I saw everything it was just like I'd assumed, only more epic than the text.

When I said, "people are making it a bigger deal", I meant that what this guy doing is nothing outrageous. The reaction to this is a bigger deal than it needs to be. It's not a lawsuit, it's simply at worst, a slap on the wrist for EA being a bad boy.

The fact that someone is delusional enough to do this, and the general consensus is the end was like having your mother ***** and Bioware ruined everything forever, is still utterly ridiculous regardless.

Well yeah its ridiculous that someone is trying to sue bioware over it, but being disappointed by the ending isn't ridiculous at all.

Exactly. It's a shame a majority of people are trying their best to collapse Bioware and are screeching their overreactions everywhere they can, rather than waiting to hear Bioware out or giving some constructive critisism.

There's not liking the ending, then there's this ruined 5 years it was like having my mother ***** I'm suing them 0/10 I hope Bioware collapses.

That's BEFORE the relay blows up...

You and I have a very different definition of "epic".:glare:

Yeah, and if it destroyed planets then OBVIOUSLY it would have eradicated the jungle planet that the Normandy crash landed on, but it left it completely fine. And are you sure Shepard wakes back up in London? Like...how did he get back there? Or are you going by that whole theory thing where he wakes up back on Earth after the Crucible gets used and "The Reapers are dead and the Normandy/people are still around him since the thing in the Citadel was a dream/mental test?

Well the rubble around him is stone and concrete. We'll just have to wait for Bioware to clarify this one.

But people that keep on harping about this relays destroying systems are forgetting that Arrival was made during ME3's development, and by the same people that made ME3, and who have written everything so well thought out, so a MASSIVE oversight like that isn't possible.

It still doesn't explain why the jungle planet, that the Normandy would have reached THROUGH a Mass Relay (meaning it would be in a system that HAS a Mass Relay that would've exploded) was completely fine, and unscathed from the Relays being destroyed as it would have had its Relay destroyed too.

Entertaining this thought further, and dwelling into space time continuum physics, the Normandy was in Slipspace, if you will. Where Time and Space technically don't exist.

The only way that planet would have survived is via the following:

[*]They went back in time BEFORE the relays were destroyed

[*]They were sent to another planet in another Galaxy

[*]Alternate Universe

[*]Another dumb oversight

So what Shepard needs, is...

[*]A Delorian

[*]A full tank of gas

[*]A Flux Capacitor

[*]Plutonium

[*]Half a pack of cigarettes

[*]Sunglasses

[*]A stretch of road to reach 88 mph

[*]Leave when it's dark outside

HIT IT.

Odin, actually
I was mostly supporting Pluvia's comment that the Relays being destroyed was different than the Arrival one for reasons such as the one I listed and that if they were the same, then the jungle planet would be either destroyed, or just charred ash.

The questions that are being asked or debated about such things just...farther shows how silly the end is imo. The things people are pulling out of their *** in support for the indoctrination theory just make me sad in the pants. Being upset or disappointed is one thing but this outbreak of paranoid schizophrenia is another.

I'd like to point out two key words in this sentence.

Relay.

Destroyed.

If it goes boom, it's still going to cause a massive explosion that is going to destroy systems.

Which is why I listed what I did.

Either the 'writers' overlooked it, or they're in an alternate timeline/universe/different Galaxy.

Someone on reddit made a funny Zaeed post.

"I once went to my nieces birthday party... All of a sudden a guddamn Batarian clown showed up...

I was the only one who survived that day..."

I made this as a quick follow up.

If a car blows up via an explosive, or blows up because the gas tank was shot...

IT STILL BLOWS UP.
A controlled explosion, like from an RPG, is different than an actual explosion.

You're going under the assumption that it's not a controlled explosion, and that it's the same as an asteroid.

That "The Truth" was mentioned a few pages back. The general consensus the the Bioware community, even with people that hated the ending, is it's a troll post seeing as though it's from a randomer on 4chan, hence the reason no decent games websites have commented on it.

I skimmed the 2nd article but it seems to be about what I was saying, that we should just wait for Bioware rather than overreatcing.
