EDIT: Alright, so for those people who are meeting us on Friday, I'm meeting up with Cal (+Vyse?) at Central Station at 4:30pm. From there we're gonna go quickly to the Inn to check in/drop our bags, then come back to the city for awesome times. If you want to be part of the Inn crowd (lololol) let one of us know so that we don't leave the city without you , otherwise if people want to catch up on Friday night give one of us a call/facebook on Friday ^^

I brought up tournament poker a while back in the QLD thread and no one was interested. I play in regionals and state tournaments so I am hell keen for a cards night if one can be organised. Texas, $20 buy in, winner takes all or runner up gets their money back? Casinos are crap in QLD, but Jupiters on the coast is far better then Treasury in the city.

Testikills and Arrow came to one I held recently and Testi went away the victor. I play a lot, but it all does come down to cards in the end. The winner takes all is just a suggestion, we can have money for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. But yeh if no one is interested or can come than there is no point.

What league state and regionals do you play?

APL runs QBS league games at taverns and hotels, I usually play at Chatwood hills or Acacia Ridge with mates of mine from school. We all started when we turned 18 because we sort of started a league of our own for south brisbane.

Top 15% on leaderboards done monthly or atleast 1 top 3 finish go to state comps, which are also registered under APL.

I didn't make it in this year because I have been too busy, and they are held monthly so in some cases I have played smash instead. Some games run over Saturday & Sunday so you have to be pretty committed. The qualifying finals for regionals are actually starting this weekend at 1pm on Saturday, so if I showed up and got better than 3rd I might still make it haha.

Also, I know Sunday is Melee day but will anyone there be interested in early/late morning Brawl friendlies? Need to know because if there isn't the family and I will drive home in the morning. Just asking. If there isn't then I'll just stay late Saturday.
