Yes, but you're forgetting that you dont like any original characters that have some merit. Are you hoping to get a Mii as a playable character? Maybe Mr. Normal? *******.

As I said in the other thread, I really dont think including so many FE characters would be a great idea. Although B specials may vary, the amount of variability Sak could make with the aerials and tilts/smashes would be little if any. We dont want more clones in this game, but unique, well-defined characters. Sure, she is a cool person in her game, but with Ike (and most likely, Marth), being in the game, I wouldnt see her as a unique fit. Keep in mind this is coming from a Falco player, so I know the implications for what I'm saying

He has a point. We're looking for variety, and not so much clones (Though I main Ganondorf, and play as Doc >_>).

I thought Lyn could've added tons of variety. She's a faster swordsman, using more of a katana rather than a longsword/broadsword. U_U

Not to offend anyone but a swords a sword which is a sword. The may have different properties but they still do the same thing, make slashing motions that cut things. Micaiah will bring more for the FE series.

I don't see what the big deal is. Don't get me wrong, I can get emotionally attatched with video game characters, especially Fire Emblem, but why does it matter that much?

Perhaps there is bias with my inability to feel anger, but if they deconfirm a character I want, I really don't care. God, even with all Dedede has going for him, even if they posted "Haha idiots! You thought Dedede was going to be in, but he's not! Not even a Sticker!" I wouldn't care. It's not like a character not being in the game makes it worse. Just that putting in more characters makes it better. The currently presented roster is satisfactory, so anything that comes beyond it doesn't matter.

Quoted for truth. It's not like Sakurai sodomized Lyn and said "lol gaijin n00bs, i pwn u". She's in the game as an AT, and that's good enough. The folks saying that this makes them sad and Brawl is ruined for them are overreacting on a massive scale.

Calm down, take solace in the fact that she's actually in a game that looks to be epic, and quit your BAWWWWWWWWWWing.

I'm not surprised at all honestly. It's not that the character didn't deserve to be on the roster, but the Japanese fans despise the GBA games, so the decision to make her a trophy was pretty predictable.

I really, really hope that the Black Knight gets the second Fire Emblem slot. He's the most important villian in the series (starring in both Path of Radiance and the upcoming Radiant Dawn) and he belongs to the Telius branch of the series like Ike - which are the only Fire Emblem games popular among both Japanese and non-Japanese fans alike. I say he stands a good shot.

Yeah, Lyn (or any character for that matter) isn't really that high on my priority list that if they aren't playable I wouldn't enjoy it. Granted I'd be annoyed if the majority of my hopefuls didn't make it, but from what I've seen so far I'd be actually quite happy if we just had the characters we have now, and we can guarantee that there will be plenty more.

Fortunately for me though I put Ike as my main concern regarding FE characters, so I'm pretty content with the FE slots already.

Sigurd was never planned. That's a rumor due to Roy's emblem title in the debug menu, which he got because he was a character under construction for his own game. The fact that Sigurd got trumped by a non-existant character, doesn't bode well for him. Heck, he'll never beat out Marth, and will never make it as a third character, due to how close he'd be to Marth and Ike.

I do like original characters. Lyn is not. She's just some random FE character. If anyone deserves to be in Brawl as a FE character other than Marth and Ike is simply Sigurd, who plays an important part in the series along with Marth. But I honestly don't want Sigurd in, the only FE characters that need to be in is Marth and Ike. No need for a Black Knight, no need for some other random FE character. Two is just fine. Make room for other and more original characters from other series.

No, I don't speak for everyone, I speak for the truth. Simply said: Lyn would be a terrible character choice in Brawl. Why? Well, she has potential and all that, just like ANY OTHER FE CHARACTER (hey, so does any Pokemon, might as well put a random Pokemon in it that has no point!), but I honestly don't want her taking the space of other and more original characters that need to be in Brawl. Maybe in the sequel she'll get in, I honestly would be perfectly fine with that, but not in Brawl until we got all the necessary characters in.

Yes, but Luigi is very necessary and has an original spin to himself that sets him apart from Mario. He's the main side character in the series and Mario's brother. He's VERY necessary for Brawl.

Lyndis would have brought a unique katana like fighting style to brawl;

I've played and beat the game she was in. I also played all of the other Fire Emblem games. There's a sh-tload of characters in the whole **** series if you actually count them up, most being way more unique than Lyn. I'd say that, yes, she is a really random character from the whole series.

A lot of them. Smash shouldn't be filled with random Fire Emblem characters. Expand your library a bit and look at all Nintendo's series, Japan only or not (if you are biased against Japan only characters, you are a sh-thead), and you'd actually see how much of a sh-t character Lyn would be.

Brawl needs more females, and what better way to add one than with Lyn. She's the first female FE lord so it fits the whole "main character/first character" theme that Brawl seems to have. (As in you see Bowser and Donkey Kong as characters instead of like Wart or Smithy.)

This Brawl update is very disappointing to me. D;
