Someone sayd that Lyn had more chance than the Bk. I rofl at you seriously. The Black Knight has starred in two games, is Ike's Nemesis(who... you know... is in Brawl) and has a deep and interesting Story, Lyn had no chance. Hell Elywood was more important than Her. Black Knight For Brawl!.

I don't see what the big deal is. Don't get me wrong, I can get emotionally attatched with video game characters, especially Fire Emblem, but why does it matter that much?

Perhaps there is bias with my inability to feel anger, but if they deconfirm a character I want, I really don't care. God, even with all Dedede has going for him, even if they posted "Haha idiots! You thought Dedede was going to be in, but he's not! Not even a Sticker!" I wouldn't care. It's not like a character not being in the game makes it worse. Just that putting in more characters makes it better. The currently presented roster is satisfactory, so anything that comes beyond it doesn't matter.
I do seem to be getting over it right now; however Lyndis was one of my top 4 of making it into Brawl as a playable character. It's not going to kill SSBB for me because there are plenty of other characters that I'm glad made it. It's just dishearting.

Your Top Ffor Requires Ridley and Dedede to be acceptable.
If you've seen any of my posts about King Dedede you should know what position I take when regarding him. I don't even care about Ridley to be honest; I want him only to appease the Ridley fans and for the fact that Metriod needs more rep's.

Lyn was just in the way of Taka getting into Brawl...

Now that she and Goroh are out, he has no samurai competition

*gives Lyn another hug*

I liked that girl. She had a pleasant personality and a good design.
I'm joining the ranks of those who don't care about the other FE character anymore. Maybe have Marth return so I can keep a near-perfect score in the character lottery, but eh.
Of course, I'm biased due to only having played her game.
Guess I should check out Black Knight's and Macaiah's threads to see what they got.

I didn't expect such a negative response, though... sorry, everyone whose hopes were crushed.
I guess Sakurai is preparing for a really great update... I think that's what happened last time he went on a deconfirmation spree.
Here's hoping he can manage to make up for this.

PS: That Titania chick is horrible. kk

Considering hwo they are even thinking about the other FE characters yes. There is a looong cast of other intellegent choices to make in FE although they did have a unique move set so maybe someone will pick up their style/they might return.

To be honest, as much as I wanted Lyn in Brawl, I can't I'm that surprised. Whatever popularity she has over here is countered by her lack of it in Japan. I'm glad Sakurai felt she was worthy enough of being an AT, though, as I was worried she wouldn't make in the game at all.

Today is a sad, sad day indeed. Lyn was probably one of my three most wanted characters who actually had a chance. And even more importantly, she was one of very, very few Fire Emblem lords who ever dared to break the mold. I'm pretty sure Hector is the only lord left who could save the FE roster from total mediocrity.

Lyn/Goroh as ATs is fine with me, if Ridley was just a boss I'd be fine with that too. Really, I don't mind who Sakurai chooses as actual characters, as they're all great. It's all about representation.

Just the sheer fact that Lyn is an AT shows sakurai is willing to pull from FE7 (that's the right one, right?) which bodes well for Hector as his competition for that slot just went down by 50%. Hector's looking at a much better shot now...

At the same time, Michiah is also looking much better. Lyn and Michiah were competition for each other because they are both Ladies. By removing one, the other is far more likely.

Marth
Michiah
Black Knight
Hector

That's the order that I'm expecting... Anytime a character from that list is (de)confirmed, the likelihood for the one(s) below it increases/decreases accordingly.

At least, in my opinion that is...

That and the GBA FE's (at least the internationally released ones, not sure about Roy's) weren't received that well in Japan at all. I think Lyn might have received more hate due to her story basically being a tutorial mode, probably directed more to the international audience to explain the game to them for the first time, but was rather unnecessary for the Japanese. Either way, there were far more popular characters amongst the Ja[anese fanbase, and Sakurai really wasn't going to disregard them like that:ohwell:

Edit: That does seem to be the main competition for FE characters now, Ferro.

Lyn is the first lord in the first Fire Emblem game that any of us in the U.S. ever played. Doesn't that count for anything? We never ever got a chance to play Marth's or Sigurd's games, and that didn't keep Sakurai from considering them. There's bound to be a Japan-only fan favorite in the game somewhere...what's wrong with having a Western-only fan favorite too?

EDIT: Oh, and Ferro: I'd say Sigurd has at least a good a chance as Marth, if not better. He was planned to be in Melee before they cut him for a quickly-cloned Roy, FE4 is the most popular in Japan, and I still maintain that Ike has inherited Marth's moveset (or rather the evolution of it) as an alternative to nerfing Marth.

Now that Lyndis is an AT my list for the FE roaster is.

Ike-already included
Mikaya
Marth

I honestly don't know if the inclusion of a another character is that likely and if one more was to be added I would predict a Sigurd entrance.

Well, if they had a western-only favorite, then he might consider in the amount of playing time that she would get in Japan. I know there are going to be many characters is the game, but she may be one of those that might only get a few players in the Japanese version of SSBB. The Japanese players may think that it was a "wasted spot."

Awww...Why Lyn, of all characters? In all honesty, she's one of the characters I wanted in most.

well, the only suitable Fe character for Brawl now is Black Knight.

Sigurd was never planned. That's a rumor due to Roy's emblem title in the debug menu, which he got because he was a character under construction for his own game. The fact that Sigurd got trumped by a non-existant character, doesn't bode well for him. Heck, he'll never beat out Marth, and will never make it as a third character, due to how close he'd be to Marth and Ike.

Britain, glaring at you **** yanks.
I've lost all faith in Sakurai.

I'm glad this sh-t of a character isn't in. Hopefully Sakurai will actually be smart and decomfirm other sh-tty characters.
Yes, but you're forgetting that you dont like any original characters that have some merit. Are you hoping to get a Mii as a playable character? Maybe Mr. Normal? *******.

How on earth could Sigurd be close to Marth and Ike? Do they use a spear? Do they ****ing ride a horse? You know Sakurai could implement that for Sigurd do you not; and that would be the perfect way to set him apart from the other lords.
