And eh, maybe it's because I find the heroes Marvel makes more inspired. DC seems to be filled with mostly ordinary-like people while Marvel takes a more creative approach i.e. guy with spider powers
I think both sides are equally creative. Marvel has some neat concepts for heroes (guy in advanced armor, a man with blades that comes out of his hands, ect.) and so does DC (guy who uses hand to hand combat and fear to fight, and entire organization with rings that can be anything, ect.).

I think it has to do with the movies being released. For now, DC has been relatively quiet with GL sucking bad. Marvel did a good job with First Class and we'll see how Captain A. will be.
I think its also worth nothing that Marvel films tend to be miles over DC ones in terms of over all quality. But I'm talking about the quality of the universes. Then again, not that many people are into comics anymore because nobody reads comics unless they're backwards and from Japan.

I'm still mad about the Harley redesign.
I'm still mad about the reboot in general.
I'm still mad about how most people prefer DC over Marvel
I'm still mad it's not butter.

:glare:

In my humble opinion, Marvel>DC. Aside from Batman.

I did read Infinite... Something. I THINK it was Infinite Crisis. I'll check when I get home. But I enjoyed that.

But my wife and I used to go to the comic shop all the time. Then we realized how much we spent WEEKLY. Added that up to a year, and we cut back. A LOT.

Used to read Garth Ennis' Punisher (which was great until he changed artists). Cable and Deadpool, and then I missed an issue. :( I'm too OCD about reading things in order.

Other noteworthy comics where Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness, X-men BEFORE Astonishing X-men. Spiderman, Ultimate Spiderman. I know there's more, I just can't remember.

Eh, I guess it's preference

And I really wish I could read comics if it wasn't for the fact that they all cost like 5 bucks these days when they should be costing 20 cents like back in the day

True, Marvel does seem to be more popular with fans nowadays like Spider-Man, Hulk, X-Men getting their movies released every summer, but I've always been a DC guy, it seems to b more layed back and while it's super heroes may lack 'cool' superpowers, the overall plots are better, specifically Batman's.

And the reason it's better is because it's easier to relate to.

You have a hero, with NO POWERS, able to stand up to other villains, etc., using nothing but himself, his wits, and his gadgets. And it's easier for humans (yes, generalization, shutup) to relate to him because he's human; essentially, more like us than Superman, Spiderman, etc.

It's the same thing with Ironman, to a degree. Ironman is Marvel's Batman (to me) because he meets relatively the same criteria (wits, genius level, vanilla human. ****in' rich). Except he's outted himself as Ironman, and the public knows. Obviously with the Bat, that's not the case.

Tell me about it. The only time I buy comics is for big events. Although I'm sure I'll buy some of the rebooted DC comics to see if I like the new DCU or not.

I'll honestly tell you that even then I still can't relate to Batman that well. Batman is a rich mother****er who literally trained with buddhist monks and ninjas and crap. Up to the point his parents died and left him orphaned I can feel sympathy to, but anything after that seems to be impossible for 99% of the world to do.

Tell me about it. The only time I buy comics is for big events. Although I'm sure I'll buy some of the rebooted DC comics to see if I like the new DCU or not.
I only have like about 5 comics of Spidey that a friend gave me, and I don't even know what's supposed to be happening in that story because they're all continuations of a story arch that I never got to begin reading so when Spidey goes into another dimension and begins to have a philosophical talk with some thing, that's where I get lost because I have no idea how he got there in the first place.

Which is another reason I don't read comics. I hate having to start reading midway through an arch to be lost and not know what's happened till that point.

I think allegiances from the common fan can switch. Assuming Batman does well next year...expect a huge swing. People were crazy over him after the Dark Knight.

I only collect one or two series at a time, or buy one-shots. Keeps the cost down.

It also helps that I work at a bookstore, and get a discount.

I don't keep up with Marvel or DC.

I don't very much like the idea of super heroes. Those running around in some sort of iconic suit that NO ONE ELSE would wear.

Well in what else would they dress up in? Some normal street clothes that anybody you know might recognize from your closet?

Besides some of those costumes are cool like Green Lantern, Batman, Spidey, Wolverine, etc. I especially like Green Lantern's. I don't know why but it's the fact that someone who's built up pretty well wears an ultra slim costume just idk. The design overall is pretty good as well

And lets not forget that the Green Lantern is an entire organization (contrary to to what people who don't know **** about the DCU outside of the Justice League cartoon might think). So no, it isn't just a costume that only one guy wears.

I expect them to wear every day clothes, yes.

I would rather not read about super heroes. I'd rather read about someone's story with the addition of some super natural abilities, and I could care less whether they're exclusive to specific characters, or everyone had powers.

Well when I said Green Lantern, I just meant the one guy. If I meant the entire organization I would've said the Green Lantern Corps, which I guess would've been the correct term, but I honestly just like how it looks on the individual we see in the comics the most.

And I like the black Green Lantern better than that white trash (no offense) :c

EDIT:

ZIO, them wearing normal clothes would be dumb. Imagine Superman fighting crime in his reporter clothes. I'm pretty sure people at work would just recognize him and the word would spread and then what happens to his loved ones? And besides, the costume is what gives the superhero his image. I mean if you saw Peter Parker fighting in his street clothes like some normal Joe, then nobody would recognize him as a hero, while if he wears his Spidey suit, then people would instantly recognize that that man is Spidey because nobody else in their right mind would wear a spandex suit.

And if you're gonna give Wolverine as an example, at least he has an exterior appearance that doesn't need a costume to make work. I mean sure he's wearing a leather jacket and jeans these days, but Wolverine has giant claws extending from his hands and a weird *** hairdo. If you don't recognize him like he is, then you'd be stupid not to.

And this reminds me, I absolutely hate it when superheroes carry a mask that only covers their eyes. It only covers their eyes and if you can't recognize the person with their basic cranial structure then you're stupid. It's like in the new Green Lantern movie where the lady instantly recognizes who the guy is. It's a reminder that the eye mask thing was always a stupid idea and if you can't recognize the person with his cheek bone structure then you're way lost

I don't know who the **** that guy was in that movie, but he is not Hal Jordan. That has to be one of the worse interpretations of his character since he went crazy and killed a bunch of his fellow lanterns just so DC could force Kyle Raynor into his spot.

So that isn't him? I haven't read the Green Lantern comics yet, but I thought that at least a bit of that movie would be true.

And aren't there more than just rings for Willpower and Fear? I'm pretty sure there's also Rage, Happiness, Death, and like 5 other kinds of rings.

Yes, there are numerous colored rings that all represent a different emotion/concept. The two main ones are Green Lantern Corps and the Sinestro Corps. Although the Black Lanterns played a major role in Blackest Night.

Like, I'm confused.

I said I didn't like superheroes and stated why.

Who is this kid trying to tell me otherwise?

Oh well.

I can't make any more detail to what I've already mentioned.

I would rather you said, "Super heroes just aren't my thing." Rather than "they have costumes that nobody else has!" The first makes more sense.

No one played that last time I was on, which was sometime in 2009 Summer.
I found one person, and they were level 99 on the hardest difficulty, and all I did was let him escort me through the final level, whilst he let me pick up all of the item drops, considering he must've had pretty much everything by then.

Capcom finds way to make overpriced handheld games (3DS) have even less value.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-06-27-capcom-resi-evil-3ds-will-retain-value

Basically, in order to combat used/second hand game sales, Capcom is not letting you reset your game data in RE: Mercenaries. Paying $40 for a bunch of mini-games is a great idea!

Capcom Crapcom has been on a steady decline lately, from restricting you playing some of their arcade games on the PSN during the PSN outage, to releasing 5 versions of SFIV and to not localizing AAI2 in NA, oh boy!

^ I still think Monster Hunter is there major successor, though. That and Dragon's Dogma looks sick. I just wish they'd localize more of the ****ing MH's in America.
