It’s been about 24 hours so I’ll finish the job right now. The submission of Torgo the Bear Torgo the Bear wins this job. Now onto the next job:

Job #11: Submit A Mii Costume List for Sora
Alright so it’s time for us to do the Mii costume list for Sora. You can submit up to 6 Mii costumes. Please keep in mind that we already added some Mii costumes for crash bandicoot so don’t submit ones that were already used for that. Mii costumes will deconfirm characters.

I may be breaking the limits of the "no Disney" rule here, but here goes.
  1. Default: KH3 Design
  2. KH2 Design
  3. KH1 Design
  4. Halloweentown design
  5. The Carribean design
  6. Monstropolis design
  7. Toy Box design
  8. Timeless River design
Note that these costumes would be stripped of any direct references to their movies of origin. They would also use a regular keyblade, with the exception of Timeless River, which gets a monochrome keyblade.

I decided to make eShop descriptions for some of the confirmed Mii costumes

Dr. Neo Cortex
“Muahaha! It is I, the brilliant Dr. Neo “Periwinkle” Cortex! My many, many, requests for inclusion were rejected by those utter troglodytes running this fight club - but after months and gallons of ink worth of polite letters they gave me this “consolation prize” - a costume for Gunners? I will not stand for this! What did I do wrong? My most recent 200 word letter only had 7 profanities and 12 threats to the reader’s parents!”

Aku Aku mask
“Ooga Booga! Enhance your Mii with a mask in the likeness of Crash’s guardian, Aku Aku. Unfortunately, he’s just a replica and won’t protect you from harm - if you want that, buy the full Crash Bandicoot challenger pack! Shameless plug!”

Spyro
“Don’t dragon your feet to get this hat! The Spyro hat recreates the purple dragon’s likeness to a T, perfect for scorching gnorcs! Try using it on a Gunner with the Flame Pillar, or just playing with Fire Flowers only. Last Mii to try this hat for size is a... uh… mouldy sponge? obese cow? incompetent mayor? chilly wizard? That’s it, a gnorc! How could I forget?”

Club Penguin
“Waddle on! Club Penguin may be long gone, but it has been immortalised in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a nostalgic Mii costume. This costume is for Brawlers and comes in a variety of colours so you can represent your classic penguin look from back in the ‘00s. Try using the penguin mask on other costumes to create a unique style - after all, just because you’re flightless doesn’t mean you can't fly!”

  • Firaga: Sora summons two rings of fire that encircle him (11%, OK knockback)
  • Blizzaga: Sora shoots a spreading burst of three snowflakes that have a chance of freezing the opponent (5% each, small knockback); using this in the air has Sora shoot them diagonally downward
  • Thundaga: Sora summons electricity from his Keyblade that locks on to any nearby fighters, up to four at a time (8% each, small knockback). When not locked on, each bolt forms a dome around Sora.
  • Aeroga: Sora surrounds himself in a windy barrier that halves damage taken and reflects projectiles. The spell lasts for 18 seconds, and he can’t use any other spell nor use Aeroga again during this time.

Alright then, it's been a while so I think I'll finish up this job now. The moveset of Perkilator Perkilator wins this job by default. Now We'll move onto the next character job:

Job #14: Submit a Fighter's Pass 14 Character
Like last time, please submit a character you think we should use for fighter's pass 14. Please submit the character, explain who the character is, and why they should get into Ultimate.

Kris, Susie, and Ralsei

AKA The Fun Gang, The Lancer Fan Club, or the ?&!! Squad. The Heroes of Deltarune join the battle as a fighting trio! We could take this in various directions. You could play as Kris and use the others as AI allies, have them all play as a Pokemon Trainer styled team, or maybe something else.
They will mainly represent Deltarune, but they can also bring music and spirits from Undertale.

Fighters Pass 14: Neku Saburaba (The World Ends With You)
1628743763597.png

Untitled.png

Neku is the protagonist of a cult-classic action RPG by Square Enix for Nintendo DS, rereleased on the Switch with a sequel having dropped late last month. TWEWY is known for its intricate combat based on controlling multiple characters at once, its engaging story with deep character arcs, and its use of street culture and contemporary-styled music. But why should he be in Smash?

Varied Abilities: Just look at all the abilities listed here--and that isn't even counting what's available in the sequel! There's a lot of potential for a fighter with the agility of Joker and the magic skills of Ness and Lucas.

Unique Mechanics: As mentioned above, TWEWY's combat hinges on controlling multiple characters to build combos between them. Implementing this into Neku's moveset would be a fun challenge and make for an interesting fighter!

Music: Just...come on.

(Note: feel free to let me know if this is infeasible immediately after another Square Enix character.)

Job 14: Impa (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)

To say that the Zelda franchise is long overdue for a newcomer feels like an understatement at this point - the series hasn't gotten a new unique playable character in Smash Bros. since 2001, which was twenty years ago. (sure, there's one DLC character left at the moment, but I don't know how likely it's going to be that they'll finish off with a Zelda character with most of the major options being post-launch spirits or assist trophies) For a series that's one of Nintendo's biggest, that just seems baffling, especially when the Hyrule Warriors games showed that there are plenty of options that could be used as fighters.

While assist trophies are on the table, I'd go with Impa for a new Zelda character because she has a more consistent role in the series. While her earliest appearances were confined to the instruction manual, and many of her appearances have her as an elderly guide, there are plenty of combat-capable versions of the character, like in Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, Hyrule Warriors, and Age of Calamity. Seeing as Age of Calamity's her most recent appearance, I figure it's best to go with that.

In addition to fighting with knives, short swords, and paper bombs, Impa can also use the runes from Breath of the Wild, along with clones which can vastly increase her range and damage potential. (the clones are blue and glowing, so they're easy to tell apart from the original Impa; like with Olimar, the number of clones would likely be limited to 1-3 for gameplay balance and 8 player matches)

Here are the results of the Job #14 votes:
Dr. Eggman 14
Kris, Susie and Ralsei 5
Neku 8
Gordon Freeman 5
Impa 5
PaRappa the Rapper 5

Meaning Eggman is the character we will add as part of challenger pack 14! Eggman is a really good character choice IMO and I'm excited to see how this challenger pack will go. Anyways, for this challenger pack we'll actually start with the moveset so...

Job #15: Submit a Moveset for Dr. Eggman

Eggman uses the Eggmobile as seen in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, just without the wheels of course. He also has six jumps (which will be relevant later)

B: Gattling Gun

The Gattling Gun used by the Egg Dragoon appears beneath the Eggmobile, it fires constantly, as gattling guns do, and is quite powerful - though it only causes flinching once per foe and use - meaning that foes can run right through the bullets once they've flinched once. The Gattling Gun can also overheat if overused, making Eggman dizzy.

Side B: Buzz Bomber

Eggman orders a Buzz Bomber to attack. Buzz Bomber then starts flying around the stage and occasionally closing in on Eggman's foe to fire a laser. If successfully disposed of, the Flicky inside will come back to attack Eggman - similar to if one of Olimar's Pikmin were planted on him

Down B: Rock Drill

Two drills come out of the Eggmobile, left and right side. They plant themselves into the ground meaning they have no attacking purpose of their own. They drill so hard that rock debris falls to the left and right of the stage, which can be used to gimp recoveries. This leaves Eggman vulnerable should the foe escape the debris, and if used on a walk-off stage or another stage with little off-stage space the debris can injure the bad doctor himself.

Up B: Fire Dispenser

This move has no recovery power, instead Eggman drops some fire down, and if it lands it will spread left and right over the platform it has landed on. Eggman himself can be damaged by this fire however so it's best to use it when high in the air.

Final Smash: Destructive Power

Eggman graps the Phantom Ruby, but Metal Sonic snatches it from him and dashes forwards. Getting hit by Metal Sonic triggers a cutscene where the characters who are hit are thrown into a seeming peaceful city before being crushed by a collapsing building as the camera pans up to reveal Metal Sonic Kai unleashing havoc on the burning town just like in Knuckles' Chaotix's infamously macabre bad ending.

Alright so looks like we have a tie in the strawpoll. I’ll just get rid of my vote then. My vote was for Wario Wario Wario’s moveset, and so Perkilator’s moveset is the one we will add! Now onto the next job:

Job #16: Submit an Alternate Colours List for Dr. Eggman
For this job all you need to submit is a list of alternate colours for Dr. Eggman. Please submit the list and describe each colour or alternate costumes. You can describe the inspiration for each colour if you would like BTW.

The Eggmobile's alts are all based on different Sega consoles.

  1. Default: regular Eggmobile
  2. Mega Drive black
  3. Dreamcast white
  4. Saturn dark grey
  5. Sega Pico turqoise
  6. Christmas Seaman Dreamcast red
  7. Pico Beena light blue
  8. Master System Girl pink
You can select the pilot of the mobile seperately from it, but duplicates cannot be there. These alts generally have unique animations, but some are shared. The first 3 share all animations.
  1. Default: Eggman
  2. Robotnik (Classic Eggman)
  3. Eggman Nega
  4. Orbot and Cubot
  5. Egg Pawn
  6. Eggrobo
  7. Mecha Sonic
  8. Bonanza Bros, as a silly guest alt - still with a Sonic series symbol.

I'm gonna change some elements of my alts, I'll edit this post once the change is done.

EDIT: Done. I'm in a hurry and one JPG didn't load but luckily it's an obvious character.

Voting has closed for Job #16 and the costumes list of Perkilator Perkilator will be added. Now onto the next job:

Job #17: Submit a Mii Costume List for Eggman
Like the last two times, this job will add a list of Mii costumes for Eggman. All you have to do is submit the list you think should be added. There’s a limit of six Mii costumes.

Also sorry for not saying it before, but the submission of Neku we had a while back wouldn't be able to make it in this thread because we already decided he would be a mii costume in Sora's pack
