Word. TP's soundtrack was great for the atmosphere that it provided, but musically speaking, OoT and MM definitely sport the most memorable and beloved tunes (this is pretty much a fact). Seems as if Koji Kondo was at his prime in the late 90s.

"Farewell Hyrule King" gives me so many strange emotions... such a beautiful piece of music.

I think a lot of his music is still great, he doesn't compose all of the zelda music anymore though, starting with MM other composers have been increasingly involved in the console zelda games soundtracks, I think that's the biggest reason they aren't as good as they used to be.

My favorite OoT song is without a doubt song of storms... I love all the others but I feel this one tells of a story it also has a piraty sound to it. Its like the guy in the windmill, can tell what hyrules apocalypse in a far future is doomed to! Also I have come up with a story board for my own LoZ game That I actually called "legend of zelda The song of Storms"(ya I make my own games :D).

And after seeing that you listed the Forest Temple's them as one of your favorites, I think that it has actually proved to be the most beloved theme in the series, as stated by the majority in this thread.

Gerudo Valley--there is no other song from the entire Legend of Zelda series that I love quite as much as this one. Periodically, I spend the majority of a day seeking out new versions of the song to listen to, just to be able to listen to it some more. It's quite simply the finest Zelda song ever created.

I don't know which is my favorite (Well when in Hyrule field of both OOt/Twilight Princess I like that song). But Hyrule Castle and especially uh Kakorio Village (**** forgot how to spell it, always have trouble for it) in seven years music sound so sound. When I first entered the village you could really tell that it was sad, I felt sorry for those characters (But nice to know most of them had made it out)

I find the first three videos to be very closely interrelated. You make your own judgments, but I think it was possible that ALttP borrowed from SMB3. As for the Kirby video, it's not too similar to the others, but it sounds similar enough to warrant me posting it for kicks.

Why snowpeak? It gives you this feeling that you are completely alone but yet it's a beautiful song. And how come I havent seen much love for Dark World in this thread? That song rocks.
