Anyway, changing the topic of discussion inconspicuously... I've been playing Rune Factory Frontier, and i have to say, I haven't been glued to the TV this way in YEARS (maybe months, but you get the point). This is one great game right here. It feels like a real-time Final Fantasy, where instead of monsters dropping money for some random reason, you have to WORK for your money. I just got to the 3rd dungeon (can't get past the first floor, getting my butt kicked), and so far this is hands down my favorite Wii game out of all the ones I've ever played.

Just in case anyone's looking for a good game to play!

@Asdioh: Pshhh... I actually don't find melee as a competitive game that fun, but then again, it may also be because I started playing smash competitively at Brawl.
That being said, meh, there is a lot going on and it looks flashy, but the vs Capcom games aren't hard to follow once you learn the game a bit. Of course, I can understand that the amount of on-screen activity in vs Capcom games can be a bit overwhelming for a community like ours who ledge/air/platform camp all day every day

fromundaman, you should check out Rune Factory Frontier only if you've ever played a Harvest Moon game in the past. You have to work for your money, and by that I mean hunt/fish/farm/mine/scavenge/errands/blablabla, so if you're completely new to those types of games you'll find yourself overwhelmed by the huge amount of options and lack of direction when you start the game. Also you have to befriend as many people as you meet since that will trigger loads of side events which get you free rare items, and you'd probably want to marry someone and have a child to see the rest of the events. The game is amazing though, I'm not joking when I say it's one of the hardest games on the Wii, and only because you have to do everything yourself and the game doesn't lend you helping hands: you have to learn how to farm, mine, find lumber, cook, forge, make medicine, fish, etc... If you can't learn how to make money, you're never gonna do anything. I have LITERALLY been playing this game NON-STOP for 5 days now, from when I wake up to when I go to sleep, and I still haven't passed it.

Also, I just found out that another one, Rune Factory Oceans, is being released in Japan on Feb 24th for Wii/PS3! I know what I'm gonna buy when I get out of the Navy, hell yeah! asdfadfcawec can't freakin wait.

I personally think it's fun... Games that you have to work your butt off to beat because the programmers knew how to make it legitimately difficult, AKA challenges, are what make me tick.

If I had the game (I don't have either a 360 or PS3), then I would main Viewtiful Joe because I loved the game when I played it on the GCN. I don't know who else I'd play, but probably Amaterasu even though I haven't had a chance to play Okami yet. Clover Studios was awesome.

You mean your signature? Your post has to have > or = number of characters for it to show... something like that. And you have to enable your posts to show your sign.

Yeah I tried doing that enter-enter shenanigan. I don't think the enter spaces count for post length.

It has come to my attention that you are 11 posts behind me in the race to determine stuff. First of all, I must congratulate you on finally surpassing someone who gave up 3 months ago. Truly it is an accomplishment. Secondly, I must give an inspirational speech. You have to listen to it.

The Kirby boards are not the best boards, but they were a home. My blah blah era of prosperity blah blah Ninja Spike blah super 1337 blah blah I should be a mod blah Kewkky is teh sucz blah blah matchup thread. Truly the Kirby boards have experienced a Golden Age of prosperity under my great reign. While we will perhaps not experience a similar success until I come back to reclaim my throne, other people might do a kinda okay job in the meantime. That'd be pretty cool.

great job of supporting the community, and I didn't do jack ****. So just ease up and relax. You don't have to do anything to become as cool as me. In fact, you should do less. Cast off your over-qualifications. Give them to me for safe-keeping. I won't take them for myself, honest.

But of course remember, there is a great burden associated with the posting crown. I've seen many great post count rulers come and go in my day -- when they came, they were but humble 12-year-olds. But they left corrupted teenagers, blinded to their own uselessness by false pride and spoiler tags. They clung to the post count until it was all they had left tying them to the community, and were utterly swept away when they lost that. And then right after they left, the community started making all these BS steps forward: matchup stuff, power rankings, and hup cancelling. All kinds of nonsense like that.

I know that sounds like a lot of pressure, but don't sweat it -- I already broke that trend for you. Just walk in my large footsteps, and you'll probably make it out okay.
