lolol

you should try Fox, not many people have Fox experience so you'll have an advantage there, plus I think the matchup is pretty even. It's possibly in Fox's favor on neutrals imo, assuming you don't get gimped. The problem is that Fox takes a lot of practice. I practice him a ton and I still make mistakes and stuff. But if you camp like a *****, man the matchup will be tough for MK.

Infern, I don't think I've played you... ever? O_o
Which is weird because you're at just about every tourney I go to.
Make sure we change that next time ok? I saw you playing with YBM at one point this weekend, and I was wondering why because you guys play each other all the time XD

Well, they did face each other in Grand Finals, if that's what you were referring to?

Also, is it just for me, or does it feel like when one thing falls apart, everything else follows? (not referring to Smash at all, but I guess it can apply there too.)

Um, G&W, MK, and um...Squirtle and Wario are the closest to Kirby.

>_> I'ma be @ Rauleen's tourny because I live in StL lmao.
More people should main Kirby.

G&W you say? How do you figure that one?

Also, while I enjoy Kirby and all, realistically speaking, why "should" people main Kirby? Maining a top tier is a much better idea.

@ Fromundaman- G&W has a pretty solid move set, no 'good' projectile, predictable with a great recovery and a few strong kill options. Sounds a lot like Kirby.

And secondly, people should main Kirbeh because they enjoy the character and the playstyle fits yours. If you only playing @ mid level competitive play and lower, Kirby will be perfect for you. If you go national, international hi level competitive play, you'll need a secondary to handle MK, Olimar and the other less favorable matchups that become more one-sided as the level of skill gets higher.

There's a tournament in MO hosted by my friend for brawl that'll have a beer pong side tournament!!!!! Guys, I got this in the bag.

Yes? Final Cutter can and should be avoided every time, while Chef flings multiple things, that you have to get around if you want to reach g&w (or G&W Kirby) and there's also the pan once you reach him. Plus, it has less ending lag. Even though G&W can absorb them, I like to take this power because it's good for baiting airdodges and stuff and punishing with Fsmash or grab.

You can attack his projectiles, and it takes too long to follow up with another move... I guess I can see some characters that can't get pass his Chef.

Final Cutter in Brawl is used to push people away, so I guess it's inferior to Chef.

Aight soo...I've been going to omnis training sessions working on just using Kirby and Pit (working out quit nicely I think so) but I have a serious mental block when it comes to a GOOD metaknight..the only person I effectively know how to play against metaknight with is Squirtle and clearly thats not possible to have squirtle out the WHOLE TIME

but yea I think I got vids against omni so when he post them ill post them here

Wuuuuut? When did you become a Kirby main??

That makes me a sad panda :(

Final cutter has good knock back if you time it right. I would rather have Final cutter than Chef.

Kirby mains that are in the MW (or wherever else) come to my tournament! Click the sig for more info.

Oh, I thought you meant playstyle-wise.

Also, even at mid-level play, MK is still a better choice... That being said I get your point.

Chef is a quadrillion times better than Final Cutter :(

...Chef doesn't go far, and unlike Final Cutter, you can attack his projectiles. Are you sure it's better?

They both suck. I'd even rather have FLUDD than either of those.

Lurking the Kirby Social thread with my rock buds.

(Warning: the following post is very disjointed)

Idunno, but I do know that I tend to notice when tons of things fall apart at once, and not so much otherwise...

As for why people main Kirby instead of top tiers, it's because we have souls. ^_^
All the other guys had their souls sucked out through children's trading cards

W00t, I should totally go to this tourney in the MW which I can't go to for
several reasons. I hope it's fun! :)

I am a happy lion. With some good ol' fashion steak sauce. :redneck: (seriously that's not a smilie :( )

I would rather have a Warlock Punch Ganon Superjump than FC. It'd make recovering vs some soulless characters a lot easier...

I c wut you did thar, Suck Panda. ;)

Guys, I'm going back for another week of chess camp! I leave tomorrow and one of my friends is coming with me...I'll try to keep you posted! It'll be super nerdy to the extreme and whiter than sour cream fun :D .

Happy (late?) birthday BBQTV! :)

I got my bachelors in psychology and ill be in dallas and able to enter tournies within a month. Do you think i should do double or singles or both. For singles i dont have a secondary who can handle snake so i think it might be a bad idea? Im only good with kirby, lucas and jigglypuff.

So I found something really minor.

If you AD on a slope in a certain way (like from a ledge drop) so that you don't actually get off the ground and immediately buffer a move while DIing forward, you slide a little while doing said move. Only use for this I see is on YI so far, where you can ledgedrop AD>buffer any attack/grab while sliding towards the opponent. Not a huge thing, but it's kinda cool. Probably more hassle than it's worth but W/E.

....wow. That's cool Kewkky; you'll def. see a lot of cool places.

Hey guys, my compii got stolen I think so I'm not sure what I'ma do about internet. Rather than leave the amount of time to chance I'd like to formally request that A1 do the next two -four matchup exports. Just start them like normal and when I get back I can do the summaries of mine and update with A1s. If A1 declines, someone else can take it but my recommendation is A1.

A1- I know you'll do well if you accept. My left hand man.

ghghgh chu's so good. Only he could pull off an Inhale offstage and stagespike and then a turbo 2008 combo on the best Snake.
Notice how hard of a time he was having other than that though? Freaking Snake's tough, man.
Oh yeah, and don't forget that Ally tripped like 3+ times and I didn't see Chu trip >_<

edit: chu won the first 2 games but ally won...

._.
got 2 stocked 5th game. ouch...

Hey guys, did we have a kirby interview thread? I get kinda jealous when I look at the other character boards and they are interviewing :p We should interview Kewkky before he goes to the Navy.

I don't think we do. I though JoWii made a thread about something similar to an interview thread on the Kirby boards, but I seem to can't find the thread, or maybe I was just imagining things. But no, we haven't done an interview thread yet.
