It's always a matchup thing too. X top player can be better @ Y matchup, so they wouldn't be able to perform all their unique setups/tricks if they don't know the matchup as well. And skill judged based by playing one player is invalid considering results are more accurate with more data. Let's let Apex decide, the best ZSS.

Isn't that when MUs matter the most, when two good players of relatively equal skill play each other, and both know the MU?
