I'm watching FMA: Brotherhood right now.

Not really seeing why everyone thinks its "so much better" than the 2003 series, but I'm still enjoying it.

the manga is MUCH better the anime fell way off.
One Piece is the best story out of japan in an ever IMO. Or at least the best I've experinced you get attached to those characters.
Most action series the cast is so... inhuman, impossible to related to. character quirks like... say death the kid's love of semetry are a neat way to grab attention, however, if after that he has no real human qualities... he has no real fear of loss, nothing he cares about, nothing he aspires to be so its hard to feel for him when his biggest issue is his hair stripe or whether or not he folded his toilet paper correctly.

I feel like this isn't your first tourney.

i DID, and that was my final Smash tourny. I didn't enter singles because I didn't beleive in paying money to get knocked out by a metaknight, but that happened anyways in teams. I was with Zigsta's Bowser, we fight wario/yoshi, we win. Then we get put up against two wario/metaknight teams and we lose. Go figure, and one of the MK players were absolute trash and just spammed nado on this laggy monitor so there wasn't much I could do to help my teammate. A lot of other good players didn't even enter singles for the same reason. This community is screwed and the ban happened too late. This game needed good leadership from the backroom because it was designed NOT to be competitive, and BBR didn't do much at all to amend this.

I went to my first Super Street Fighter Four tournament recently and placed 17/33 with Bison which is the game I now play. I'm done with Brawl, maybe I would of stayed if the characters I enjoyed were... y'know... actually viable. The MK ban would of helped, but the problem was it happened too late and by then I quit and moved on to Street Fighter and I'm enjoying using a character I love and who is viable. (A lot of players did this actually, or at least went to Marvel.) 2012 patch fixed the twins nonsense, and we are seeing good character diversity again in tourny results including regionals.

Too bad Nintendo as a whole is free and not with the times, Brawl could of benefited from a few thousand patches, but Nintendo doesn't care nor want it to be a serious game. Melee with regulations was legit as was Smash 64 altho that game was kinda broke like Marvel; I have no respect for Brawl as a fighter (and even less respect for those who pretend it is) or most of the community sadly. I still give props to the non-tier *****s still playing this game.

you have to play gay to win at pretty much any fighter.

And don't kid yourself. A character winnning a few tourny within what, how long as this game been out? Like 5 years once or twice =/= viable

So what if a bunch of people consider Brawl to not be a fighting game or competitive?

I think if a game's competitive play is easily accessible and one enjoys participating in them like I do. Then that's all that really matters.

Is Jigglypuff a viable character? Hell no. Is she fun to play as in tournaments? Yes

You don't have to always come back home with a sack of money in your hand to have enjoyed the event. My personal goal is to wow people with Jigglypuff and give love to a character that doesn't get much attention.

Not to mention, underused characters let you be creative, nobody has developed strategies for them so instead of copy pasta you need to develop techniques yourself, (which is why I like underused characters in Marvel such as Chris and Rocket Raccoon)

I use Jigglypuff because she is a Jigglypuff. Way cooler than some mainstream Pikachus or ****. No one cares about Pikachu or has ever cared except even your mother knows Pikachu and that ain't cool at all.
