I don't know about you, but every tournament leaves me with a desire to exercise and purge the greasy video gaming filth from my poor body. Liam and I went to JP's pool during the last tournament in order to cleanse ourselves, and it was Good.

I found out yesterday that there is an indoor sports center roughly 8 minutes walk from Mascot station. I'll get to the important bit straight away.

We can play 5-A-Side indoor soccer for $7 each! This is a super fun and easy way to break up what would normally be a day of constant smash (ie misery). Surely you see the potential here. We could even use JP's pool afterwards <3

We could also play basketball.

Shotgun Sam, Turt and Liam.

Exercising is actually pretty good =). I go to a gym now everyday after work and its really helped me get fitter and I dont look fat anymore ^_^. I would love to do swimming though, haven't gone swimming in sooo long xD.

Probably moving in with ricky at the end of the year so swimming would be pwnnn

Sure why not! - although it would necessitate more clothes, spray, and other random bag-filling crap.

I question the point of playing in a team against Liam and Toby though... if Shao Lin Soccer is anything to go by.

Folded properly, a change of clothes doesn't take up much space :)

Being fit will also heavily reduce the "gamer" smell during tournaments. Trust me.

Regular basketball meets within the Sydney smash scene? I must of forgot to mention that recently Andrew and I started dating and I'm moving up there to live in a couple of months to be with him!

I can't wait for this.

These kind of events are also dependent on the tournament finishing with a good deal of day to go

oi toby.

My pool is a private sanctuary.

And I pointed out the indoor soccer place to you sooooo long ago, scrub.
I've been going to that place since I was in like year 8 for school ****.

Also went there after the end of year ceremony, followed by alcoholic induced parties.

**** was so cash.

About two hours or so. Alternatively, we can play soccer/b-ball/whatever at the start of the day. Given that exercise has significant positive effects of cognitive function, it would probably lead to people playing a lot better at smash too :p

IMO best way to do it would be to get sporty an hour before lunch. It is good for many reasons.

Although really with some better organisationby JP and cooperation from the players, we should have plenty of time for this.

You know, this is why I put dodgeball out there. It has the added benefit of being cheap, and even encourages the laziest of smashers to get their heart rate pumping up.

Soccer/BBall works to a lesser extent, as long as there's no cost for it

I don't really want to be playing sports on the day of a tournament tbh, I'd rather stay focussed. Also that $7 is a deal breaker either way, I have the tiniest of budgets so that $7 soccer game is one less meal I'm eating that week... T.T

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying it's a bad idea. It's fantastic! But not for me.

Lol, let's go out and exercise.
And then let's get drink a crud load and get WASTED!
Best idea ever.
Totally works.
c:

Gym is good, I wanna go to the gym again.
Or just get some crud to work out at home, cbf going out to be around sweaty, smelly people for a couple of hours a day that look at themselves in the mirror every 5 seconds to see if their muscles have increased at all and then they probably kiss them in their minds if they aren't kissing their muscles irl.

I'd definitely go to a tourney if there was indoor soccer (it's actually football but I won't be a pain about that).

It'd be the only thing on the day where my "tech skill" wouldn't be totally horrendous.

There should be time if we get rid of the amateur bracket and run a tournament with some efficiency. Also on another note I think that at tournaments the amateur bracket should be replaced by the random bracket since this is far more fun for the people who can't enter the amateur bracket and was one of the highlights (for myself at least) last tournament. The people who would normally be in the amateur bracket still get to play more matches and random is fun. Also sorry to correct everyone but indoor soccer is actually called Kickin'Bawl.

sounds amazing. I would prefer basketball to soccer, but I'll play both.
